@bossman
Batch 6 still open (spot or two left). Timber rough design has been completed, but no prototype built yet. Inline design is isn't about safety, just preference, variety. Price is still too soon to tell, I'll know after I build a few. The first prototypes should probably happen over the summer months. There are several items on the agenda at Vapwood, not just Timber, so it's hard to predict exact dates right now. We are going to be moving in lots of directions.

Cool, I'll go pay to jump on batch six right now and figure the rest out later. Thanks so much for the quick detailed response.

Edit: I see the wood options now, sorry.

Does the Lil' Bud accept standard 18.8mm glass stems if I want to use a long glass stem? I like the look of those thick amber or green glass stems I've seen on wooden portables like the Milanna but I've never owned one.

I have a walnut LB and battery level backplate in my cart now. Is there a gallery with a pic of the battery level thing somewhere?

Thanks again!

@bossman, do a thread search for battery gauge.

With only one spot left in batch 6, my attention has turned to batch 7. I just purchased some incredible quilted maple, so I'm now well stocked. It can be quite expensive in the thicknesses I need (1.25 or 5/4 minimum). This was sold as stock for a guitar neck, gonna be real pretty. Quilted maple should be around for awhile, along with the old standby's of cherry and walnut, with the occasional black gnarly walnut. Gonna be a busy summer.

The battery gauge.
Just to add, even though you see the gauge *attached*, it just conveniently clips on, but that isn't necessary for it to work. Just touching terminals will give you a reading. It's not supposed to be used with the gauge attached. Detach before using. The purpose of the gauge is to give you a quick read on what's happening battery wise. It's thrown into the *Total Package*, and the estimated value reflects the amount of time and effort that goes into putting it together, not really the cost of material, as is the case with LB in general. Simple, effective, relatively fool proof, it pays off when you just wanna know what kinda battery life you've got left. Accurate enough, but not dead on, tends to go 5 or 10 low, at least with my Nitecore D4, but still a useful tool. I use mine all the time.

If I order a 19/22 long glass stem from 420edc that is advertised to work with the Milanna etc and add the three pack of rimmed screens is that a good combo for the LB? Do y'all own multiple wooden mouthpieces? I'm hardly every vaping with more than one person.

I have a Tubo X coming before long as well so the accessory shopping is partly just me getting fired up.

I have 2 short milaana stems from edc, both fit lil bud just fine, and basket screens they sent fit in the wood mouthpiece. The screens fit so super snug into cherry mp I hesitate to use them ,but have had no problems when I do. Also I wish the basket screens were half that size . I generally load half of a basket screens full capacity. So I use stock rimless screens pushed in backwards, so the walls of the heating chamber are wood, just the "floor" is screen. Make sense? but have tried glass stems with basket screens in the Lb and it works great, but once you use the wood mp that's all you'll want to use imo. Everything fits great, wood gives better performance. And yes, my glass edc stems seal perfectly. But i only use cherry stem.:myday:Cheers!! D.

I apologize for not being on as much lately, lots to do to get 18 orders out. I just sent out pre-shipping notifications to 18 people. For those in batch 4/5, I will do the best I can fulfilling orders as close as possible. I'll be doing the final sorting out of 18 orders tomorrow. It's more the stems that I have limited stock on, but I'll do my best.

I promise I'll get walnut pics uploaded soon. Not sure if the pre finish pics will do it justice. Whenever I buy walnut for a table top I search for the gnarlier sections. They are hard to work with, but pop when finished. The first time I saw this, I was amazed. Walnut grain can go in lots of directions. The *gnarlyness*, I believe, comes from the end grain swirling around to the face grain.

And yes, batch 6 has one spot open.
