I get the wobblies too, after reading about so many heater-covers breaking I've been extra careful; not looking for a reason to test Arizer's famously good customer service.

My Extreme Vaporzer broke and needs replacement entirely. I got it several months ago from GotVape.com. Who should I contact or be dealing with to get a replacement? Does anyone know how long it usually takes? I'm in the US.

Thanks!

start with gotvape first. they have pretty good customer service. I have had too use my warranty on my Iolite through them. They will have records of your purchase.

well the wobble might be better for reliability and structural integrity but, wouldnt it not be as efficient as possible?

because there is a wobble, that means there is also an air leak, which is confirmed by feeling a weak blast of air around the bowl when the unit is in use filling up a balloon.

that air could be used to go through the herb instead, helping it fill up faster.

and I also suspect, that the air leak might exhaust vapor (weed) as well thus wasting it.

So I decided to clean my chron out of my E, but it was a lot harder than I thought. The elbow whip is hard to clean, I tried as best I can, but it'sin an "L" shape, and the tubing is stuck on tight.

I'm trying the freezer method, lets hope it gets rid of it, anyone have a better suggestion or a way to get the tubing off of the glass piece so I can clean it? Most of the chron is there anyways.

I was trying to push the honey out, but the q-tips I used got stuck, yeah bad Idea, but it works last time I did it with a vaporbros :(.

Hi Konrad, I replaced my whip with silicone tubing (more flexy) and got the mouthpiece off the old whip tubing with a box cutter knife.

I finally pried it off by using a screw driver and such, damn it was a pain, but I finally got it off and cleaned :D.

My Extreme vaporizer cable has been looking increasingly sketchy for months now through the rubber falling apart. About a month ago the cable would need to be twisted around in odd angles for power to reach the unit. Eventually bare wire was starting to show and now the unit won't even turn on...

Has this happened to anyone else? I have a cable that fits the unit back home but I'm at school, so I can't confirm that its just the cable but I mean if you look at the cable, well, you'd probably not even want to plug it in to begin with so I'm pretty sure of the culprit... Also, the green light on the DC transformer isn't lighting up, which is also a dead giveaway!

Damn that's al ot of wear and tear. You have a 2 year warranty, go return it.

What you been doing to that wire? Dragging it across cinder blocks or something?

Be interesting to see if this kind of wear and tear is covered under warranty. I know I can't take a power sander to my Mr Coffee's power cord and expect it to be covered.

Getting whip tubing on or off of glass wands or mouthpieces, where it's a really tight fit, is much easier if you dip the glass piece with attached tubing (or tubing alone if you're trying to get it installed on the glass) into very hot (even boiling) water for 5-10 seconds. The heat makes the tubing much more flexible and a lot easier to get on or off of glass pieces. Once it cools, the tubing regains its normal size and stiffness.

chishoik, typical AC power cords should last for many years, if not a lifetime. Wear, especially to the extent of showing bare wire, is not normal. Whatever it is that you're doing to cause this, it would not be considered a manufacturer defect by most companies. You can check with Arizer for warranty service if you like, but don't be surprised if they refuse to cover a power cord replacement under warranty.

My guess is that chishoik's talking about the low-voltage DC cord that goes between the power supply and the tower. The AC Mains cord has a standard IEC fitting and is easily replaced.

But the main point, that unless it has been abused the cord should not be showing bare wire, is probably valid, unless it's a manufacturing flaw.

Bare wire on the DC cord it is not dangerous if the power supply has indeed passed the safety tests that its sticker says it has -- 19VDC is not a dangerous level -- but it could fail the power supply maybe if it's not short circuit protected.

Any laptop computer power supply with 19VDC, 3 amps or greater, right sized plug with center pin positive can drive the Extreme and Extreme-Q.

I scraped mine out, it's not that hard, the onyl; thing is getting the tubing off of the elbow, it took a flat head screw driver for me to losen it to get it off haha. I used a knife to take out the honey, and also you could use a paper clip :).

Alright thanks guys... ive read that you can stick the elbow in boiling water for a few minutes to loosen the plastic in order to remove it... but ill prolly just heat it up some and then scrape it out like you said Zuse

Thanks again

People said to put it into the freezer, but that didn't help much. Try to be careful while removing it, you could possibly break the glass, I had to pry the tubing off, it sounded like it was literally stuck on.

If you're gonna do the QWISO wand-hash than I'd be wary about placing your entire mini-whip in boiling water, I'd think that the boiling water would significantly extract some of your goodies. Any confirmation from those that have done it?

I'm getting ready to do my own cleaning as well, done QWISO with trimmings before, expecting a completely different result with the wand-hash.

okay extreme420 here, i recently broke the heating element and cover on my extreme i decided that i would rather have them ship me the parts so i can fix it myself and i was wonderin if anyone has incountered this before, if so was it easy to fix or should i stop being cheap and send it in, thanks in advance

Hey extremevape420,

If you've already opened up your Extreme and are thinking to yourself, "This will be easy," and you have the tools, why not do it yourself? You might want to check with Steve at Arizer to see how this affects your warranty -- he replies to his emails.

I bet that if you convinced him that you know what you're doing, he'll ship you the parts.

But if you're not even sure you have the skill or tools to open up the instrument, consider letting them repair it.

My solution to removing the tubing from the elbow is to turn a hair dryer on it for a couple of minutes.

Concerning the wobblies: there's two kinds, the one where the cyclone bowl doesn't fit snugly onto the heater, and the one where the heater element cover is loose. I have only the first kind. I don't think the loose fit would leak enough vapour to concern me even if I were filling bags, but I haven't tested this. I do find it mildly annoying.

hey ive already emailed arizer but i didnt talk to steve i talked to debbie, she informed me that arizer could fix it for a total price of 40$ CDN or i could fix it myself for 25$. i belive i have the skill to do so but im a little concered about how much is broken the glass cover its self shatered but something came out with it and im not quite sure what it was, i dont think it was the heating element its self but maybe something important that im unaware of. all and all i think ill give it a go if anything goes wrong maybe that would be better, giving me an exscuse to buy the new extreme-q, a little more money then i would like to spend but hey you gotta do what you gotta do thank you for your fast responce

It's not very likely there are extra, unnecessary parts in the vape.
