Dabpress Rosin Plates

Will Amazon be stocking your long filter bags that you cut to size?
Although, I'll be doing small pucks, like 1 to 1.5 gram so probably not needed until
when/if I ever try bigger pucks.
Is your 160 u best for flowers??
Thanks

Under testing, we got an issue of rosin sleeve( long rosin bag). After cutting, polyester thread is easy to release. So I have to produce 2x4" normal size bag.

But this rosin sleeve still be available on dabpress official website at the beginning of next month.

we'll offer a bundle ( 40pcs rosin press bag + rosin puck maker ), it will be available next month on amazon prime store.

About pre-press mold, if you only press 1-1.5g, you needn't pre-press it.
Maybe you need find a 90-160 micron bag - small size

Thank you

@MinnBobber I have been happy with my pressing using a 90u filter on flowers lately. You gotta break the nugs down a bit but they are yielding nicely as you can see on this recent effort

For your 1-1.5g squishes have you thought about a kief press?

@dabpress.com nice I am excited for that bundle. I will be needing more filters in the size of that sleeve in a month or so

@psychonaut What a juicer!! 27% :drool:

I'm still pressing my flower without a filter bag. My rosin is clean so I am not seeing why I should be using it.

Yeah I've been doing a lot of naked nug squishing lately too, but mostly small batches. I wanna try pre-pressing a nice amount for my next squish and get a nice bagless drip like this.

Seriously, I think 3.5g may just be a sweet spot rolling the yield dice  I need to go back through my notes and see what that strain pressed out on my last effort. Tastes like lemon pepper fuel. A bit harsh IMO.

I'm liking what I see in that video, now that's a rosinfall :o

Gonna start doing some tests folding the paper with the round pucks, try and get the oil off the plates 99% if it's possible, just not sure how the folding/paper will work with a thicker puck from the vertical filter build.

Yo @MinnBobber you getting your sweet dabpress plates today?

@dabpress.com are there any plans on building round plates say 2.75" diameter?

I have always wondered about this. I have been using round plates since my 3rd prototype. No origami folding for me. I simply fold the parchment over once and press.

Also, for directional flow, I would think that the plates should come down in a 'clamshell' style to push the rosin OUT. But, everything I have seen comes straight down.

My current setup comes straight down and the rosin is allowed to flow in all directions AWAY from the puck (rather than THROUGH it like directional).

Just always made more sense to me. I am going to build a cage setup (or, maybe buy DabPress's) but then I can do a little experimenting with sq vs round.

Also, just FYI, my plates are 3" in diameter and a 2 gram puck flattens out right to about 1/4" from the edge. Seems to be a nice fit. Larger pucks seems to squirt out the edges.

Lovely rosin @invertedisdead those dosidos look like total headstash dabs :ko::whoa: How did you feel about pre-pressing, that SLH color is a beautiful orange :leaf::leaf::leaf: Clarity

The pre press made it really easy to do a vertical pack squish without a bag. I used a bunch of fluffy smalls/popcorn on that SLH so I wasn't blown away by the yield but it definitely made it easy to squish. I'm gonna try more bagless pre-pressed pucks soon with some larger, more resinous nuggets and see what happens. I'm on a bagless kick lately so digging it. A fleck here and there of some plant material adds authenticity! This is real hash! Not that foo foo cotton candy pina colada daquiri stuff

Straight dabs no shooters! :smug:

Awesome, I have this pre-press mold that I am using now, it's a little larger than I'd like but I should be able to get some 3.5g squishes with it np, just gonna have to figure out the PSI to pair with the puck size.

BTW this pre-press is being discontinued I believe, is that correct @dabpress.com ?

This puck maker have some issues.
1, We limits thickness of pucks for working with some rosin filters;
2, too heavy to save cost of shipment

I will re-design, replacing stainless steel with 6061 aluminum
It is 3-piece design to 2-piece design, compatible to 3.5-7g flower

When i realize the issue about this product, i stop to produce. I do hope you can understand.

Thank you!

Roger, I can understand. It weighs quite a lot. I think the puck that it makes is a nice size though, I was able to press 3.5g not super tightly into a cylinder to test on a pressing using dp-rp257 pro.

Regarding dp-rp257 pro -

Holy shit folks, this is a crazy rosin press. Quad plates. It feels more indestructible than the dp-rp37 which I didnt think was possible. I did an unboxing video which I think I need to do a video review, but for now, I only have time to share with you a squish.

This is pressing 2x 3.5g pre-pressed pucks in 160u rosin filters using the included magnetic alignment jig dp-mj257. I think the video will be pretty clear how it works, it was very simple. The biggest issue with these larger presses is the heatup times. I only have 2 heaters as this is the first release of this product, the upcoming release has 4 heaters. Either way it only slowed down the heat-up times, the pressing was on point.

As you can see, the alignment jig almost feels necessary with this press otherwise you need access to both sides of the press and a 2nd person to keep the puck in position.

It's a behemoth! :o I could have ran 21g bottle tech with 6 filters but my press is inadequate  At that point I wonder if horizontal filters would make more sense? No way to watch the rosin flowing with the jig, it keeps the parchment pinched closed pretty good. That sacred sap though. Nothing got shattery which was promising.

Well, that's is getting darn close to where I would buy one.... even though I already have 3 presses. LOL

I love these cage setups and the DP units look very very nice. I'm not sure it will fit in my press.

@dabpress.com What are the overall dimensions of the entire dp-rp37 unit INCLUDING the wires sticking out the side? My press only has a mouth 19" wide x 5" high. I don't think it will fit. Thanks
