De'Longhi machines should all be able to use the ese pods if you're interested, great job guys

Thanks and you are correct sir. I now have bought a 40 Pod ESE Variety Pack for $29.95. Expensive yes even for ESE but I just wanted to check this option out, regardless ESE Pods are a nice Plan B option, just too expensive to use all the time. Plan A is to do my own thing. Question: I have a pound of "Petes" coffee I just purchased pre-ground for auto-drip, do I need to grind more for use in the Delonghi Expresso Machine? Thanks.

Anyone else using this somewhat-overpriced guy to make micro-foam?

Couldn't think of drinking anything worse, coffee and tea.
And cannot comprehend the need for a dose of caffeine to be able to function in the morning.

The only problem with this is that I am constantly looking for highly flavoured drinks.

Root beer or the black grape and cherry Kool Aid type of thing.
Had some good organic ginger beer the other day, really nice burn.

All well and good as a kid with access to a PX. Trying to find a tin of A&W in the UK now is difficult enough. Try doing it in the 90's. Oh and it's two bucks a tin.

Tins which get cut up for segmented stems waste not want not.;)

Have you tried Stoney Ginger Beer? It’s a Coca Cola product and it is produced throughout Africa. I’ve had the South African version which is overly sweet with a strong ginger flavor. Might be worth starting another thread for interesting drinks, etc.

No, never heard of it. Had Bundaberg Root beer, proper brewed variety from Oz.

Fuk Coca Cola, fukers are willing to load venidng machines in 3rd world countries with fizzy sugar causing obesity and diabetes problems all over the place.

Horrified to see a little baby coming off the tit only to get a soft drink stuck in it's mouth.

Can't blame the locals the water isn't good enough to drink.

There is also a coffee warehouse in Lincoln which fills the town with the smell off the roasters

Well I made my first Cappuccino and it tasted real good. I packed a double into system scoop and ran it thru three times( Yes it weakens the expresso, but to who's taste, kinda like having a Jack Daniels with Coke instead of a straight shot). I already had the milk froth(Lots of foam) ready(per book info) and pored some milk slowly and then I spooned on the foam. Finally I sprinkled some 50% Cacao Coco Powder(with sugar included) and wahlah, I have a chocolate cream cappuccino, a "Triple C". Since I'm a FNG at this all I can go by is taste and visual, course I still have to work on my technique and skills, but so far I am very happy with my Delonghi Cafe Expresso Machine. I will get my ESE Pods pretty soon and I know they are single not double but I still may run them three times thru for more expresso but a weakened version. Hey it's fun to experiment. Sayonara.

Well y'all gettin' into some deep stuff here, but you can "Bet your bottom dollar" that the "Pineal Gland"(Third Eye) has something to do with it as it controls light and dark sleep cycle and moods. Kowabunga Dudes!

Oh yeah, made my fourth cup of cappuccino today(after three previous days of B results) and it came out an A+! First a double scoop of Pete's "Uzura African Blend"(ran expresso 3 times)which I blended with 1/2 oz of Torani's "Toasted Marshmellow" Syrup and a teaspoon of sugar. Next I frothed the 2% Milk perfectly. Poured some milk maybe 2 ozs. then I spooned a whole lot of froth on top and wahlah you have a "Toasted Marshmellow Cappuccino"...mmmmmm...good. While sipping I smoked some top shelf Sativa bud with a new "BudBomb" I bought from Spain. Just a little variety as I still like those 86% THC Sativa "Sour Diesel" cartridges the best. Soon I'll top off my morning with a couple of Eggo "Buttermilk" waffles smothered in butter, and topped off with real hot "Mrs. Butterwoth's" Syrup, hot damn! Sayonara.

Well I like coffee but I wanted to change things up from "Auto-Life" and "Auto-Drip" and I certainly have done that. Now with my Delonghi Expresso Cafe Machine I have two choices, I use like regular express with my own scoops or I can use E.S.E. Pods. I have the pods but they are just to have because I can and because they are a nice short-cut once in awhile for just a quickie expresso(Usually dabbed with a bit of "Redi-Whip"). What I do most of the time is make most excellent cappuccinos with lots of froth. I flavor them with English Toffee, Coconut, Cherry, Ccokie Dough, Irish Cream, Red Velvet Cake, Cheescake, Cupcake, Mint Chocolate Chip and Toasted Marshmellow. All these syrups can be used in mixing cocktails and also snow cones, hence triple-duty. Coffee for me isn't just simple and automatic anymore, it's complex and adventurist with outstanding taste and a whole lot of combinations. Heck I still haven't even used chocolate powder, cinnamon/sugar, or honey yet. How exciting to open my "Cappuccino Lab" in the morning.

I have also changed my breakfast and now I make my own muffins, biscuits and Belgium Waffles. I got a "Kitchen-Made" portable, handheld mixer and also a really nice green, Belgium Waffle maker. I just made some basic muffins(6 jumbo) and they taste great and not much trouble at all and easy to clean up. I take a muffin spray it down a little with water and put in a little plastic container(formerly containing Philidelphia Cream Cheese) and microwave for 33 seconds. I take it out and spray with butter/margarine and wahlah instant scrumptiousness. Next up I will try my new Belgium Waffle maker. Course I'vd already had a few hits of Heavy-Hitters "Sour-Diesal"Catridge(86% Sativa THC) before I even have breakfast as I have it with my Cappuccino. Bone Aptite.

I am also planning another trip to SF to pick up some more cartridges, going to get three varieties and all are over 86% THC Sativa and $63.00/G. Place is called "Barbary Coast" and even has a "Lounge"(Saw lots of pics and looks really cool) it's only ten minutes by bike from the train depot. Now just waiting for the weather, should be in the low seventies hopefully next week. Sayonara.

I recently stumbled on this Article regarding Coffee and Cancer. why do we always get flip flopping on the subject?
https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/me...t-the-science-says/ar-AAvikDf?ocid=spartanntp

Yeah and eggs have gone back and forth as well, remember the "Eggs In Jail" commercials from decades ago?

Anyway I will finish here with a follow-up to my recent adventure to SF to purchase more cartridges. I went to the "Barbary Coast" for the first time and it was "Da Bomb" for sure. They had a really nice lounge and were also licensed to let people vape, smoke, or "Nail" whatever you have or purchased. I went to the "Nail" Bar and was watching the process as I have never done this process before. One patron, a nice forty somethin' black female offered to show me the way and let me try it. It was so different, especially the part where you do not hold it in but breath it right back out again. Anyway I had more than a few hits and definetly had a major buzz goin' on.

Had to get a move on tho because I wanted to mt. bike thru "Golden Gate Park" all the way to the Pacific Ocean and SF's "Ocean Beach". I only had a map as my phone is an old Sprint "Flip-Phone" and not a GPS wonder. It took me over an hour just to get to the top of GGP. What a super gorgeous day and the temp around 80 degrees with little wind, perfect. As I journeyed thru the park I came across a fifty foot waterfall that was run off from one of the small lakes inside the park. Next I took some pictures of the Buffulo roaming a nice large fenced in area. Very cool, I remember in the 70s a friend of mine showed me the Buffulo and I had forgotten about them till reminded this day. Next on my way, almost to the ocean, was a large very old "Dutch Windmill" and it was stunning against the very blue sky.

Finally my journey to the pacific was finished as there she(Pacific Ocean) was with the waves glistening in the sun and in the foreground so many dogs playing, Shepards, Pitbulls, English Bulldogs and other varieties and all were in "Dog-Heaven" on their day at the beach. Spent about 45 minutes there and had to leave as the way back was going to be very hard and a lot up hill(Walked my bike for most of the uphill) so I gave myself at least 3 hours to get back to the train depot. The final 2 miles or so were cruising the flat "Embarkedaro" still I was exhausted and ready to go home. What a fantastic day and adventure. Sayonara.

Well I had a "Heath Bar"(English Toffee Syrup/Chocolate Powder) Cappuccino with an inch of foam and hot buttered toast with Blackberry spreadable fruit. Very tasty and easy money to make. As soon as I get my new 42 inch high(3 Tiers) AV(Audio Visual) Cart I will be able to start using my new convection oven and make muffins, cupcakes, and Swedish Cream Horns. Eat your heart out Starbucks. My breakfast and cappuccino was all accomplished with "Trainwreck" Cartridge 87% THC. Happy Trails.

Ya know how making cannabis salads sometimes ends up being better than any single strain by itself? Well, I just discovered the same thing can hold true for coffee.

I've always liked light roast African coffees because I found that I get more of the real coffee flavors from that kind of roast versus the dark roast coffees which tastes burnt to me and tends to mask the true flavor of coffee. So I was getting a bit bored with my normal light roast Africans and thought I'd try something a bit different by adding about 15 to 20% French Roast to the mix to help add a bit of kick. Wowza. The best of both worlds.

So if you like mixing strains of bud, give this one a shot. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I you like dark roasts, add a bit of light. If you like light roasts, add a bit of dark.

Has Anyone heard of Smart Coffee?
www.happysmartcoffee.com/

No. But I've taken various Nootropics with coffee. L-Theanine helps calm any jitters from caffeine and provides a more "focused" feeling. Buying nootropics separately seems cheaper and smarter than adding them to coffee. Many of the compounds taste gross, so I'd rather keep them out of my coffee.
