Making butter with ABV

Hey so I recently got into vaping to quit smoking and saved about 20g of abv. Been doing a bit of reading and tweaked a few recipes and stuff to fit what im working with. was just checking in to see if I should be good with this:

boil 12 cups water
add 2 sticks butter
reduce to low heat and add 20g abv.
simmer n stir for 2 hours.
strain into dish etc then fridge.
collect butter on top of water.

just had a few questions
1. is that too much abv for 2 sticks or butter
2. should i simmer for longer
3. could i use less water around 8 cups

appreciate any feedback just wanted to make sure on a few things

You don't need that much water, just use a couple of cups. The water is just for the butter to float on top and all the large particles will stay in the water not the butter.

Just simmer for an hour but 2 hours won't hurt.Adding Lecithin would help. The amount of ABV is OK.

I make an olive oil infusion but I use real bud not ABV.I only vape so my supply of ABV is endless.I stopped using ABV because I have enough bud to play with.

I've pretty much made everything you can from ABV and have found that the olive oil infusion is great but depending on the amount of bud you use you have to find the dose that works for you.I just simmer decarbed bud, wrapped in cheesecloth,in a slow cooker for about 3 or 4 hours along with Lecithin and then after simmering on Low I shut off the crock pot and let it sit and cool down over night.

Got some potent olive oil :D

Good luck with your butter.

I've never used water, I just use about 2 lbs of butter to about 28 grams of ABV and strain all the particles out. I use the butter to make cookies. Really good cookies.
