For some odd reason, I'm playing Civilization VI right now and am having a great time. I've played Rome:Total War on computer and pad which has some similar aspects; but this is the first of the genre since SimCity came out and I played it on a 386.

The reason it is odd is that it is basically the same as work. I look at and make spreadsheets all day and come home to play what is essentially a complex spreadsheet. (With cool graphics.) Yet, it is hard to go to bed when all I need is just one more turn to do the thing. Of course, that sets up another thing.

I land in loot lake, that house in the middle usually has 3 chests. Love me some fortnite but not crazy addicted like most of the world. Backlog is so jam stuffed I don't see myself buying anything this year for real lol

Fortnite and Sea of Thieves are my current addictions. Fortnite got even more fun once I bought the season pass, gave me more reasons to play besides winning.

100+ hours into Monster Hunter World. It's not a game for everybody and I wasn't sure if it was for me but my kid bought it and after I tried it was hooked.

A Way Out is a fun & relatively new co-op game. I'm playing it on PS4. I'm not sure if it's available on other platforms though. Definitely fun for blowing off steam and the controls aren't too complicated. Granted, I'm still not getting all of the trophies... I'm playing with a friend who lives far away from my location.

I been playing my switch since I got it. My Xbox is collecting dust thanks to the state of Destiny 2. So far only two indie games on the switch but so hyped up for dark souls remasterd.

Just picked up Ni-No-Kuni II a few days ago. Man this game is an absolute blast to play. It's a bit childish and corny but it plays just like an interactive studio ghibli movie or something.

I really want to play Monster Hunter World BTW! Currently holding out waiting for the PC port to be released and I'm probably gonna pick it up once that happens.

The new God of War has a metacritic of 95 with most major publications in the 95 -100 range. Wasn't gonna bother with it before because I figured it would just be more of the same, preordered now.

My stepson pre-orders everything. He likes the additional "content" he gets at times. Yet, considering the duds he doesn't play, it seems to me it would be better to just pay for the content he likes and wait to see if actual people playing the game like it.

To me, pre-ordering a game is like fronting someone the cash/dope and hoping you get something back.

What was your deal? What might you get for fronting the cash?

It has the highest review scores of any game in the last year and it hasn't even been released yet. I think my money is safe.
