Im thinking an induction heater will be great for using the vapcap outdoors. I really can barely see the torch flame in sunlight. The portside mini looks great, I just wish it wasn't a black box. I prefer the idea of a mug. I can't picture going for a walk carrying a metal box.

I'm hoping that the Dynavap induction heater allows you to run it by both battery and using an adapter. George mentioned it won't allow charging, that makes me wonder if you also won't be able to use an ac power supply?

Hope the dynavap version comes out soon(ish)...Im tempted to try making one if its going to be a long wait.

Ok I just have something that's pretty exciting for me to report. @phatpiggie Ti Hot End really changed my bud experience with the IH. I just had a wonderful wake and bake. What the hot end does for me is moderate my going to 11 tedencies. It's changed the cool down click and I think it changes the peak temp from the heat up. In what I don't know but the cool down click comes faster and I get better flavor.

I just had an interesting half hour. I first stalked my mail carrier.

When I found her I had a very interesting conversation. She said she'd been waiting for me. I responded kind of petulantly "it's not everyday". She said no but today you had to sign. Because we have a long driveway and mostly miss giving the signature she wastes time on signature required deliveries. However since I had a specially @phattpiggie designed package coming it was good all around!

I immediately unpacked, which was a fun experience I'll leave a surprise.

I then tried out a worlds first bowl with extra heat fins? I dunno but that blue cookies tasted Divine!

Full bowl blue cookies. High heat and done in three hits! Torch Blazer pb207

I’ll see your hi-end stem, and raise you a bourbon Jack

Hi everyone!!!

I'mmmm baaaackkk!!!

I missed you guys....

A few weeks ago I took off on a holiday to the warm and succulent Pacific Coast. My intention was to keep up on the thread and possibly post once in awhile. Well, I didn't use my electronic devices at all, even though I packed my laptop, a tablet and my phone!!! Now THAT is what you call a tolerance break. Instead I spent my time among the seagulls and seals, the rejuvenating salty ocean air and the great outdoors.

I arrived back home the day before yesterday in the early morning hours after a 7 hour flight and a 2 hour drive back to my beloved mountain woods. So I've been trying to catch up on this thread. Over 30 pages of posts to read!!! As always the Vapcap thread is alive and thriving.

I love you guys and I'm thrilled to be back with my fellow Vapcap lovers. I'm definitely getting in on the 2018 M with free Ti tip promotion and I can't wait to see what next George has up his sleeve!!!

@Cemmos colour me jealous!

I wonder if i could email Dynavap and ask for extra discreet packaging to avoid any customs attention.
The thing is they report the real value of the products inside on the customs declaration so customs will charge you because the value is over a certain point. And that's fair to their business partners who have to pay the import taxes as well. If you are lucky you are within some tolerance (think exchange rates and good will) but you can't count on that. I recently got a $35 (~€28,5) package from DV and was really happy that I did not have to pay customs (20%+€10 handling fee - and the handling fee is the thing that really hurts) even though the €28,5 are €6,5 above the limit of €22 where it's always free in my country.
But anything above that value is very likely to be taxed.

Just pulled the trigger on my first Dynavap. Bought the '18 M deal. Been rotating many vapes over the last couple years but this will be my entry into the world of butane.

Having trouble back on their website right now?

Rookiest of rookie questions: does the M come with one of their tubes, extra o rings, or anything else? Worth adding a few accessories before it ships? Thx!

Edit: Buying the launch pad from ID

Add some extra screens and yes it comes with a tube but no other accessories.

As cool as an induction heater might be I can’t see myself using one. It seems like it’s something that’s going to take away my control of the vapourizer. Which is a deal killer for me.

I used to feel similarly but ordered a mini based off all the rave reviews. After having it in my possession for a few weeks I have done a complete 180. It is now my main driver and torch is backup. It provides such a perfect and unique heating that you don't feel as though you are giving up control. I would really encourage you to try it out when possible.

Received my cocobolo carbless stem as a gift from @Dreamwood, the woodgrain is amazing! He is also a vapcap fans and made some special wood stems for vapcap.

Wow. That is stunning. I'm not normally that into the aftermarket stems but this is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in here

@Squiby: Thanks a lot, I will tell him about your and all the other's good wishes.

I spent the last 3 days and nights on the floor, next to Dexter and had approx. 4 hours of sleep in total, because one has to keep an eye on him all the time. Quite tough, I already suffered from chronic back pain and sleep disorder before this event and all this is very counterproductive. But, well... All for the buddy. ;)
I even cannot use my Vapcap most of the time (imagine that!), because the click always makes him curious and puts him in motion, which has to be strictly avoided. My ex-wife will take over on Monday evening. I am counting the days and will probably sleep for 12 hours in a row as soon as the responsibility is overtaken by someone else...

OK, like a slap with an empty glove a challenge has been issued. We now MUST find out if @Winegums will be of the same opinion AFTER a week with a @Pipes creation. Several (myself included) who did not expect to be won over have been. This might be a good test...
Anyone near @Winegums care the lend him theirs for a week?

Well I recieved my Carbon Fiber XL and the cap is way loose! I tried giving it a pinch but its not cutting it. It snaps on the warm up so hard the cap jumped half way off! Other than that its CRAZY light compared to the M. I am also struggling with finding the carb on the body.....I will figure it out....She is a beauty though.

@pxl_jockey thank you for the feedback, @almost there made the suggestion of engraving the Ti and it along with coloured tube are hopefully on the cards.

@szai I have never tried the Ti hot end so it's very much appreciated hearing how it's going.

I have to say I was more than a little sceptical about a battery powered VC.
'Don't knock it until you've tried it' would be the phrase I'm looking for.

Welcome back @Squiby !!! It sounds like you had a very relaxing vacation . I can’t even imagine going that long without some sort of screen in front of my face . Sounds very freeing .

Wow. That is stunning. I'm not normally that into the aftermarket stems but this is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in here
Couldn’t have said it better !! @paehtod , that stem is definitely a work of art . I love the creativity that a vapcap brings out of people..

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
So SS is ferrous. Ti is weakly magnetic. I would think the tip would get hot as well as the cap? Would the IH work harder or need to ramp longer to get the cap to click. I'm thinking of the field created by any IH and some issues with lower powered IH. I'm getting an M 18 because it might be a good match with any IH powerfull enough. But IDK. Just speculating.

Seeing the Portside mini work upside down with a vapcap placed in a water piece got my attention. How many powerups is in a Mini if you get in the habit of turning off the unit in between clicks?

The 3 deals that are about to expire can set you with a 2017 and 2018 M. or another deal with the M18 and the Ti tip. That's two tips to try out for $60. Then the flash sale on wooden condensers kits- the XL path. Already went that route myself over a years worth of sales.

Lost my Ti screens from last sale. Hope I didn't accidentally toss it out.

The Super M and the Lego-Vapcap toys was a fun diversion with the last Dynavap live. The Super M just might get built and trued out sometime. :freak:

:peace:
