i can't wait for this heating unit.

i got so tired of using the lighter so many times a day that i bought a vape pen. then another one. then another one. none of them are as good at stretching out shatter like my omni.

i hope i'm getting close to the top of the list but i fear it may still be awhile. like 2 more vape pens awhile. :)

The Mini is awesome - thank you so much @Pipes! Size is just small enough to use it on the go, power enough for a hard ripped night and processing is top notch. But is uptemping time of about 22 sec normal? My Skeletor needs about 5 sec.

Since I ordered the Skelly my first thought have been to open up my old, dusty toys chest and start a serious project with my nephew... LEGO blocks proved to be perfect for the task, and here is our work...

MY FAVORITE PIPES IH

Nice pics. The label indicates no battery. I was hoping this would be a portable ih. The stem looks like a straw which is nice but what is max diameter or is depth adjustable for fatter stems?

I believe @Pipes made this stem from poplar and painted it. The diameter of the stem is not critical because it doesn’t go into the hole in the cup top, only the Ti or SS tips need to fit. Hope this helps.

Ok great. This is not a portable unit, do they plan on making a portable?

Wow! The Portside is amazing! It made it to the UK in record time and finally got tested today when the batteries arrived and just wow! It heats up so quickly and so easily that you can just keep having bowl after bowl without realizing it. Never has the Vapcap hit me so hard. Thanks again Pipes!

ok, is this all i need???
Flat top 18650 cells with at least a 20 amp rating are recommended.

i have some 18650 batteries for my smok e juice vaporizer. are they the same? i do not like things that go boom so i prefer it when people who are brighter than me tell me what to do. :)

@Pipes - howdy. will these batteries be ok for my portside tabletop?

no, but i did scrap that.. went back to the computer, and had some guys print me out a prototype that looks like its going to work.

all i need to do is connect the RCA plug to the BMS and the RCA plug to the heater driver (going to use some spade connectors wrapped in heatshrink) and measure and drill a 5/8" hole (maybe 11/16") for the heater glass tube to sit in and it should be ready for its maiden voyage..

couldnt find my stepped bit over the weekend and with Easter holiday, never made it to the store to get a new one. so thats on the agenda for tonight after work, maybe get that hole placed and drilled.
