In general, I don't think I'd recommend the o-ring trick with a bare steel stem, especially with the SS tip; it can easily get too hot to comfortably handle. (Gen 4-5 Ti tips can be acceptable since they cool quickly.) The airport provides some much-appreciated cooling.

Because of the quicker cooldown on the 2018 M with this new lighter SS tip, I can whole-heartedly endorse using the o-ring trick to block the airport. (@Few Minute Programming) The stem may still get hot sometimes, but some blowing or drawing can cool it quite fast.

Overall I prefer the simplicity of carbless operation, so I'm very happy that the new tip has enough airflow and smoothness to comfortably allow this. I wasn't expecting a steel tip to become part of my daily rotation, but currently I have it on a NonaVonG stem with a spinning mouthpiece (with the x-ring trick) and it's a very enjoyable experience. You really can't go wrong with any VapCap setup. :sherlock:

One more thing I wanted to add about the 2018 M: mine did have a fair amount of the regular grey residue, especially in the condenser and stem. Do not neglect a thorough cleaning before first use ! :myday:

It looks like everyone like those jars but for the vapcap I think a tube just large enough in diameter to fit the tip is ideal. You end up having a very evenly filled bowl. If you can find one give it a try!
You mean the Jyarz? I really like them and have several of each size. I keep ground goods in the Chico, the small one. I tend to load the VC (and my stem vapes) by suck loading them. That tends to keep the load loose for open airflow.
I think it's a joke hence the mini portside moniker!
I must have missed it. There IS a Portside and a Portside Mini.

The first month with my dynavap has been AMAZING! Before i had the dynavap i smoked out of a one hitter, i wont go back. Fuck combustion is right, the taste of the bud is so smooth. Yes you can over cook it but if you are not use to hitters, heck you dont have to be familiar with a hitter. I smoked 3 bowls and they tasted like crap get off that crap and Vape.

Switch like i did, you wont be disappointed!

Other than technical practice, which I do every day that I am not bedridden, today was my first full day off in 33 days. And holy hell did I take advantage off it. A day full of great vaping and great beer.......now winding down with my SBM set up for concentrates. A little CO Budder with some NY CBD crystals. George @VapCap you’re killing it!!!

A little multi-thread Amboyna porn to close out a blissful day.........

szai, take a look at 420Science for PokitRokit. They are a little pricey. I have all three sizes and they are fantastic. All aluminum. They have two o'rings to seal the cap. The medium will hold a Nonavong Omni with one o'ring utilized. The large holds a 18mm carb-less vong. The small and the medium both fit inside an Altoids tin.
I have a media pouch that holds my Portside Mini, a couple PokitRokits, and a couple VapCaps. I can belt loop it or Molle suspend it. Doc

Edit: I just reread this. I didn't mean to sound like a salesman. Those two Jacks keep messing with me, Daniel and Herer.

So it's wood again on thursday.

I like it.
That has been the best Dynafeed Flashsale yet, imho.
Maybe they'll do the 2for1 deal again.

That would be awesome.
I have a light wood stem that feels very soft. Don't know if I like it or not.
Will go with dark this time. And since I did not win the HAIKU I will have to get a Vong Body for myself now.
I would have liked to get the black Vong body.

anyways, looking forward to hear some haikus read by george on Thursday (friday for me).
Maybe there will be some consolation prices .....:)

What do you tell the custom-folks when you come to pick it up?
My experience with customs is that I have to open the package in front of them and tell them what it is.

Never had a whole Vapcap to declare, only parts.
And I said it was accessoires for tobacco pipes.

But an M?
What can one say ?

uuuhm, it's a, mmmh, uuuhm metal thingy for, you know. :freak:

Funny enough - The Dynavap parcels are the only ones that I never had to open in front of an officer. They are always stuck at Customs for some days and then simply arrive via normal Post. Maybe it's because they are never as expensive as other sendings? Maybe because of good Karma? I really have no idea. I have completely stopped importing vapes from non-EU countries because of the Customs hassle, but would still order at Dynavap without hesitation.

However, I have thought about an explanation and would probably call it a "medical device for smoking cessation". That sounds healthy, doesn't it? ;)

officer: "It's for cannabis, isn't it?"

thats the reason I only place small orders below the customs-limit above which I would have to declare and pay 20% on the total price (including shipping). That's why I am so thankful for the free international shipping on the flash-sales.

Smaller packages come through like normal inland deliveries.

this technique takes care of my wallet as well.
sort of.

Our Customs officers are generally smart guys. "Aromatherapy" rings their bells. I would only use that explanation if the device really looks like a classic air freshener. They could feel mocked otherwise, something I would rather love to avoid.

officer: "It's for cannabis, isn't it?"

I indeed had that once. With a Milaana. Was horrible. My answer was: "Haha, don't you need a syringe for that?". We were through then. I think he considered me an idiot, which was good. This was the last time that I ordered something which might force me to go there again.

Have mercy! My 2018M is stuck at customs for 5 (!) days now. I am sure the officers love it and vape all day long instead of forwarding it to me...
My spinning Ti mouthpiece arrived In the UK customs on 1st March and I'm still waiting! Patience must be practiced...
We don't have to go to customs (at least in London) but if there was ever an issue i'd just call it a tobacco vaporizer... "Like a pipe"... Job done.

Had to get 3 orders from DynaVap from customs. 2 times there were older guys, not really smart. "Aromatherapy? Whats that?" A younger guy in his mid twenties asked me what I would put in for aromatherapy. "Lavender, Mint and so on." He: "And other herbs..." and smiled.

I think they are civil servants, they are lazy. They have to look for illegal stuff and collect the VAT, any other would be work they don't have to do, so they don't do it.

British breakfast tea and Blue Dream CBD (1:1cbd strain),in my Frankensteined 17M tip on grav glass blunt. Snow day gonna be nice!
@StringTheorista - nice mate but its actually called English breakfast tea here in Britain even though it comes from India! I like mine with either Girl Scout Cookies or the delicious Black Dog (Chemdog x Blackberry Kush)!

“British Breakfast” is what Republic of Tea calls their blend... We Americans ruin everything.
GSC goes with everything;)

Uh, whats that strain?
I have read lots about blue dream (blueberry x haze) but did not know there was a 1:1 cbd version of it.
Might be just a locally available version, medical. Several strains have come thru that don’t appear on Leafly. It’s slightly more Thc than CBD. Can’t compare to “normal”blue dream, as I haven’t experienced that.

PS: thanks for always being early to discern what the video and flash sale will be. I look for your posts about it.
