Anti/UnEnergy Drinks.

Anyone try these things? They use herbal extracts to have the exact opposite effect of energy drinks, using such things as Valerian root, St Johns Wart, Melatonin, and Kava Kava

Got to try them both, and must say, they do relax you, and make you pretty mellow (and a bit sleepy if you drink to much).
However the second one, the Sippin Syrup does the same thing as Malava Novocaine, just not as strong and tastes like robotussin.

Just go get some kava kava at your health food store and squirt some in water. Rinse in your mouth and spit it out back into the cup until it's really milk and then chug it. You WILL feel the effects, but read the info on google about the potential liver damage, which last time I checked, was due mostly to an impure batch of kava that made it into some brews a while back. Tastes horrendous though.

From what Iv'e read and heard, kava use produces no health problems in the Pacific Islands where it is traditionally used. Rather, the hazards to the liver are from using it in conjunction with alcohol. And because Westerners know that acohol is harmless  it must be the kava, right? Therefore kava is evil.

Qbit,
I would love to try these. It's like the antidote to energy drinks. I wonder if you mixed this with an energy drink and drank it, would you just feel normal?:p

I dont think your body would like it, would be the herbal equivalent to a speed ball. Would probably put a strain on your heart.
the body doesn't like it when you mix anything that takes you up with something that takes you down.

DevoTheStrange,
Yeah, I'd imagine it would feel like you were being pulled in two directions in a way. Very uncomfortable.

probably the same thing that happens to you when you take liquor and mix it with an energy drink. I know that can cause heart palpitations.
