To be clear. I am not anti e nail. I would LOVE to have a setup like that. It's just my living situation doesn't support it right now.

I love when people mod and innovate a product. I have been know to mix things up myself. Example here.

Fkee6YH.jpg

This is how I've been using my Elev8r.

Still has a glass on glass connection for water but a bit nicer looking in my opinion.

Has a built in screen (possiblity larger herb chamber) and feel more like one solid piece which makes going from dry to water seamless. I like taking the first couple draws dry and then go thru water to finish it off.
I like that stem...me wants one!!

just went to the 7th floor sites...i am loving the custom wands they are making for this beast. May have to drive down to colorado springs and pick one up! LAWD those wands look nice!!!

Okay some testing later... I will struggle to jot this out, but this bowl mod has just blown my head off! The Elev8r hasn't hit me this hard yet, maybe my first night where I torched a full bowl for 60 seconds. I did 2 small bowls. One I guess 0.12 ish, and a follow up tiny microdose (see below).
This is the first load after 2 hits.

The first hit, vapor formed much faster, was thicker as well. It was still smooth and tasty though. The second hit basicallt blackened the whole load, but..it didnt tatse bad at all. It was just very well extracted, pretty even. Over charred, I didnt take another hit.

I sensed immediately that you could combust much easier with this bowl. It doesn't need as much heat, and seems to make the vape more powerful with more complete and rapid extraction for sure.
Second bowl, just what I scarped up, before and after 1st hit:

Hit 1 was very big, instant denss whitewall that kept flowing. I bravely carried on, trusting that the tiny load size should prevent combustion (vapor was reallt thick). The next hit, I can't remember to be honest now, was small Im sure. I was already wasted by then.

So the performance is quite different. It hits harder, seems to extract more thoroughly. That tiny load worked so well for a giant rip, yellow abv with most goods gone, so muxh more effective for microdosing.

However, of possible interest to @LabPong , I do definitely have more respiratory aggravation, or a different type. The vape signature is certainly changed, and this makes it more prone to irritating the throat area (and surely lungs too), unless you are more mindful to keep temps lower. I am very in tune with these things, I noticed the same effect with the XL Herborizer when I raised the screen up.

I will heat for less later and see how that goes. New testing needed- load sizes, torch tech etc. Draw tech. And the coil will bring more precise control, which is logically more needed with his mod. The stock bowl is more forgiving, and may be the most respiratory friendlly way to take larger hits, from my first trial and feelings right now.

Gosh, I am so wrecked. A different vape, so surprised. So I will play with the variables, but not for a while.:whoa:

Edit- I got another bud out to grind, because I had had such a small amount it felt like, but just not needed! Im amazed at the strength of these effects.

Extra Heaters are going to be on my list of needy supplies.....I have been lucky so far not to get a crack or break one......

HC Alexis.....wow I can not believe that "1 micron degree/draw time from combustion" abv did not taste nasty or harsh. On my first outing with the vape I had a much less dark area in the load (pretty much centered in the load) and I instantly could smell...sense..then taste it. And you are more sensitive than I....but that maybe just below the start of your throat maybe? My taste buds and tongue are super sensitive.

Ok.....good deal on your setup and initial testing otherwise.....time to figure out temps and see if that gets enough help with the irritation issue. It is amazing how much you can tweak and change the vapor performance with this guy. I am still testing and doing some small changes in temps while using the coil though. Since this nasty cold/bug thing I am almost coming out of......not enough chances each day to medicate....maybe 1 time at evening per day.

I am for sure going to use the stock bowl for a bit with the coil now and see what I can figure out there. But isn't it so cool do do much smaller loads.....I like that same deal with changing out the FP bowl to a smaller glass one....but it would be nice to have one with double the height above the screen to test....OT but same principle here.

Alexis.....just hope that you can find some smooth even ground with the coil setup. It is much much easier to get small amount of heat/extraction vapor results with it. I would say....start out at maybe 650 and go from there with the Auber300. I usually go from 650-670 only. It all depends on how long you leave the coil on to preheat...which you have to do as the heat takes time to build up in the heater to work good.

About the coil bending......I used one of those stubby short wide straight screwdriver to slowly pry each touching section wider...I started at the bottom of the coil wraps and worked up. You will need a pair of pliers and something to put under them....cloth or something thin. It was not hard at all....just had to go slow. You will find that you have to also widen up the diameter just a bit pending on how non-round the glass heater piece is..or how much the inlet whole extrudes. I actually grabbed with the pliers at the top and "untwisted" the coil shape just slightly.....and super gently. Basically just go slow here....no problem then.

Hope to see others try different parts with the Elev8r......so cool and exciting to use this vape.

Me neither, dont get me wrong, my taste and smell is impaired generally due to respiratory inflammation etc, but I taste my vapor well- the gorgeous and the less than gorgeous Elev8r vapor, which is never nasty to me even when it is "nasty", to speak.

But certainly noticeably less pleasant when overspent/darkened. This load I just never noticed it, I saw the load was black so I was prepared for the exhale, but it was okay.:hmm:

Story of my life bro- 13 years straight of permanent multiple lung infections. Infections cause allergies where they are located. My comfort level, enjoynent of and ability to vaporize goes up and down on a gradient depending in the level, status and location of infection in my respiratory system. Literally night and day!

Thanks very much indeed for the tips for the coil (and generally), I will study and disect the terminology with tools and coil in hand I hope.

Except Auber emailed me saying the 15.8 mm coil is out of stock with no idea of...

IMPORTANT UPDATE- just got an email reply from Auber:

"Thanks for your reply and appreciated your understanding. But due to the low demand and high cost, we are ready to discontinue this 220V, 15.8 mm coil, so we don't have an ETA for it. We can give you the refund for the coil.

Here is the PIN assignment for the XLR connector:

PIN 1: AC power to coil
PIN 2: AC power to coil
PIN 3: Thermocouple +
PIN 4: Thermocouple -
PIN 5: Ground

You can try to source it locally or from other sellers. For example, Gimido has a 220V coil. You can refer to this guide to change the setting in the controller for the coil with different wattage.

Please let us know. Sorry for the inconvenience."

 Bummer! Not sure what to do now. The coil he links is here:
https://www.e-nail.org/BestCoils/Regular-Coils/Regular-Coil-5pin-XLR.html
It may be identical? Hard to see, I specifically wanted the auber coil for the downward shape and angle to relieve some pressure from the heater.

If the same, it just costs a bit extra, and I hope the coil itself might dodge customs.

Damn- had it all figured out. Too hammered and tired to think it through now, just sunk a cup of cannabis tea from edible strainings. Back to drawing board momentarily.
Cheers again bro for the advices.

And just to say buddy I havent forgotten about getting back to you for some Auto gossip, I have really been struggling with my homeopathy and intense infection die off and detox, so am just riding it out. Im posting still as a daily distraction mainly, but I want my head to be clearer so I can give you a decent insight. 1 week of medicine to go, 3 down!
Thanks man, don't stress, made my auto investigations and choices so all good.
Wishing you well.

For the record there is another place in EU/FR that offers the elev8r ,I've also seen it here https://jahvaporizer.com/home/23191...isateur-portable-en-verre-7th-floorvapes.html but i cannot vouch for their legitimacy , better go with lacentralevapeur
Yeah, I think they're related because if you click the Union Jack flag in the header (not sure if you can see that where you are) it refers you you to Jahvaporizer.com

EDIT: Sorry mods for double post, wasn't thinking properly.

I noticed that too. Also they have the same stock range. Probably it is some dropshipper or more likely another site for the same business :).

That's a real shame to hear, was very much looking forward to you publishing the experiments too.
Im sure there is a way, with a will! I just really wanted the angled Auber one to keep strain minimal on heater.
I found a compatible coil on dhgate, but it is straight. I have been looking for one like Auber's.

This one at least has a shorter handle bit.

@LabPong sorry buddy to keep harassing you, but if you have an idea if this would be safe enough it may help my decisions, before Auber start harassing MY arse haha!

Actually since I bent some of the angle out of mine....I wish I had a straight one like that. They are so light there is little force on the heater from setting it the the glass heater. It is so very different than the flowerpot because there is no solid heavy handle on it. I hang it on a wire hook I fastened to a post and it works ok for now. I actually want it to be heavier with some sort of little handle grip.

Thanks very much for your time and thoughts, how much do I owe you for your services so far? Just bill me anyway Im ready to pay!

Okay, so maybe I just go for the coil then and stick with rdk -300.
Or I coulld look at Newvape's coil to try out with my mum's Newvape/vapecode controller- she has kind of abandoned the Flowerpot for now in favor of her edibles each day.

If I could find a 16 mm coil for that controller on dhgate I might do that- ordering just the coil from Newvape would cost me about £60 with customs.

The rdk 300 plus coil would have been £120 all in.
If I get the rdk 300, and seperate coil I linked, it will be $15 less for the coil if it dodges import tax. So about £110.
Seems silly to pay £60 just for tge Newvape coil when I mightmwant my own controller for it anyway.

I will have another check first fir chinese vapecode 16 mm coil, then probably email Auber to send controller, buy chinese coil.

Cheers dude, appreciate your thoughts, I think Im good now, have a good day. :)

Okay fine folks- mini crisis over. I bought a 16 mm compatible coil on dhgate for £22, and stuck with rdk-300.

So saved me a few quid in the end after all, and Im suitably assured by @LabPong that the horizontal coil should be fine as a pose to the downward angled one no longer offered by Auber.

Expect a long wait for coil now though, 2 to 3 weeks surely. The Auber kit should be 7 to 10 days door to door.
And I have a little challenge for you all- do you spot nubs in this video? it was posted 2 days ago I think:
As soon as I see real talk of quartz I hope to reach out to these guys to see if they can provide nubs for enails if they havent already been passed the request.

Isnt their work amazing though?

I had 3/5 of my classes cancel today, so I loaded up the freshly cleaned v8r and made some lung-busting, tear-jerking, massive hits. Great way to spend the day. One full bowl and I'm good for hours, yo.

Quick update with quartz, coming soon! And I promise we will take care of our most LOYAL family members who want that upgrade. Thanks for always supporting us and we LOVE all of you! Show Love, Spread Love!

...Feb 21st, 2018 @7thFloorVapes said quartz would be soon... which begs the question... what is SOON???

@7thFloorVapes any updates on the quartz heaters?

... @7thFloorVapes haven't seen anything from you guys since the 21st of Feb. Any updates on quartz heaters? anything would be great that's not "soon"...

Thanks in advance :D

As long as it gets there in the end. Patience, community. Im sure they are on it, but these guys also have a moral obligation to get high as fuck every day, lets not forget, while running a an impressively grand vaporizer empire!

Personally I expect a longer wait until (hopefully) Lacentrale or Vaposhop stock the quartz, which would mean a £40 saving at least just for the heater for me.

That said, can't wait- bring it on @7thFloorVapes you guys seriously rock. You have geniously provided me a vape that has opened up doors for me to climb to the pinacle of vaporisation while the other vapes of my dreams have broken my heart due to intolerances.

Long game for me- these guys are widening the corridoors for us all and letting light in. Cant thank you 7th Floor for everything, especially my contest win as well.

...i totally understand this, but when they said 'SOON' ~ a month ago i would have expected to hear something by now... even an update stating it's still being worked on, almost ready to launch, etc...

...soon is a very subjective term to use... for example, when my wife says "soon" she means right away, "i'm going to be leaving 'soon'" she'll say, but she leaves right away (as long as it takes to put shoes on)... however if i say "i'm leaving 'soon" i mean i'm leaving in 5-10 min...

the elev8r has appeared on namaste and everyone does it the past few days over here in the UK priced at exactly £100 so it looks likely it'll be available before too long
Hey dude I saw your comment on Bud's live stream last night. So you have a coil rigged up for your Elev8r? Is is the rdk-300? With Auber 15.8mm coil?

If so when did you buy that? I must have just missed out on their last few coils so you just beat me to it damn you early birds!:argh:;)

How is it going with the coil? I have a china one coming which is horizontal to go with the rdk-300. Should be okay now I think.

@biohacker , easy! I see your comments also on VLF (I really should join so I can tag you there, just another little thing not gotten round to yet.)

You have ordered the rdk-300 also correct? For the Elev8r? Did you also get one of the last 15.8 mm coils? (it was meant to be MINE DAMN YOU ALL!:nope:)

I actually have 2 nubbed glass heaters with my prize one to look after. I hope I will get a few quartz ones with nubs in due course. Cant say when I will get to test the coil it shipped anyway.
