CBD Cannabis UK & EU

So I have dreamed for years of the day when the UK can get low THC strains of cannabis that actually taste and look the part. It seems that day is upon us as there are numerous companies geared up to ship cannabis with a very low THC content across the whole of the EU. They already legally sell 1%THC strains in Switzerland, and slightly weaker below 0.2% in other EU countries; although I don't think any THC is allowed in UK at all. It's a bit confusing; as I think if it's officially from an EU regulated hemp seed variety and below 2%thc then the product is technically hemp and can be used for raw material or tea.

I started looking through amazon and found CBDNOL selling products.. https://www.cbdnol.com/collections/cbd-cannabis-blueten/products/cbd-blueten-purple-widow
Looking up their EU bud I found pics which didn't look that appealing so moved on.. https://www.eve-rave.ch/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=15577&start=8295

Anyhow I spent sometime going through a ton of the websites selling low THC bud (there are way too many) and decided on https://swissgrownherb.com/ - and have ordered 3g of Marianne and 3g of Light Orange. (Will report back when I have tested). I chose this company because their bud is pesticide free and their bud looked the best quality of the companies I found that stated this. Not much a fan of their branding, and the fact they sell vape liquids; but fingers crossed. I had scrolled through their Facebook page and found videos of them handling the batches in question and looked very appealing so committed.

It seems most these companies are calling the bud whatever exotic name they deem fit, so it is a bit hard to say what you're actually getting. That said, I wanted to order from https://doublegreen.ch/ because they don't bother trying to call their weed anything crazy, and simply mention it has been crossed over time from an original hemp strain; but sadly they don't ship out of Switzerland. - When looking DoubleGreen up just now I found their sister company https://www.blossomswiss.ch who does ship to the EU. I may have ordered from them if I had found it earlier!

A lot of these companies don't take card payment or payal and instead want a bank transfer, seemingly because PayPal don't want to be associated.

Anyway I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried these Euro strains, and also anyone who has a better understanding of the more shadier practices that go on. Who are the reputable companies? There is so much choice it's paralysing and it would be good to know who is truly trustworthy.

Other companies I have bookmarked are:
https://swissharvest.ch/ (AKA Buddies)
https://www.greenpassion.ch
https://www.hempserv.ch/

Edit: I was suspicious that hempserv.ch may add terpenes to thier flower. I emailed this question and await a reply..

I've also been curious about this. It seems that products under 0.2% are legal around here, there are some shops that sell various raw extract which claim to have under 0.2% content and add that it is according to the law..

The only problem I have with this CBD flower is I really want to try some for certain times and use it to maybe extend my stash. My problem is it costs as much or more than my meds. I'm so very cheap.
This is exactly true, but for myself, if I could use this stuff without being allergic to any organic ferts used, it would help me to relax more about conserving my own self procured, against the odds, stash. Just to mix and match I mean, break up the habituation.

But they must use organic ferts surely? Im allergic to pretty much all of them. I have the 4% cbd hemp flowers by Roo & Co from Vapefiend, but never considered the fert allergies when I got it so havent tried ever.

But these buds do look very interesting. I wish the full info was available and clearer on it all.
@sativasam thanks man for delving in and sharing this with us. Look forward to your reports.

UK limit is 0.2%. I tried a gram of tangerine dream from kingdom of green and have made a Swiss order (had to send cash because a bank transfer was going to cost £36 in fees) for 7g.

I am quite interested/excited by all this and feel this could be the start of something here in the uk. I would be keen to start my own business supplying these low thc strains but also feel it is a bit of a legislation minefield.

I am using these high cbd products through the day to try and lower my thc intake as I'm sure thc doesn't help me stay productive throughout my work day on the farm.

I get the feeling that the fertlizer used by https://swissgrownherb.com/ is not organic; I only say this because they do not explicitly mention the fert, only the pesticides.

Check the 90% seedless products on this website - all 0.2%thc so legal in UK. Much cheaper than the more 'quality' buds - https://www.hempserv.ch/online-store/Organic-CBD-Bud-Products-c20973197

What was the Tangerine Dream like?

Hi guys. I'm also following the legal cannabis scene, in the beginning because I liked to mix the "zero" THC strains with the sometimes too strong THC strains that the... recreative market offers, and now also for work since I'm producing a EU legal strain called Carmagnola in my small farm, for many purposes but for my personal use as well. Tomorrow my lab analysis on THC and CBD contents will be ready... and I'll know what can I do with her. Usually CBD reaches a max of 4% in this strain, traditionally used for producing fiber and seeds. Not that high so, but taste is very good, buds can be smaller but full of resins, very satisfying to vape. I've recently visited a local legal cannabis meeting in Milan (Italy) and I couldn't believe on the prices... 6-8€ for a gram?! Even if it has a 10% of CBD, I can't say it is fair. This business is growing fast and pretty unruled, and farmers (not Labs...) that produces legal buds (without seeds) in my country and sell locally have prices around 1 €. I think that, as with many other things, when we buy some pomped up products we are not paying for quality but for the growing system, or the brand...

I've just discovered something interesting... About 1 year ago, It has been no that easy for me to find a bag of CERTIFIED seeds (I mean with the essential documents attached) smaller than the classic 25kg bags used for industry. At the end I was able to find a 5kg bag.
Now (brand apart...) it looks like you can have a certificate even for 10 seeds. Big news by my point since it seems that the legal growing begins to be possible for all folks and not only for agro-industrial companies. So why buy it when you can grow it? Here my results.

I tried the Love Hemp 2.62% CBD organic flower recently, and I was really disappointed. I did a few bowls of it in my vapcap. It tastes pretty bad, and is very low quality in appearance and smell - I actually had to deep clean my vapcap soon after as I didn't like the lingering taste at all. I don't have any other experience with CBD dominant strains, so it's hard for me to evaluate the effects, but I didn't really notice any effects from it. You definitely get the impression that it's not a strain that has been bred to be pleasant to ingest.

@ander I look forward to hearing more about your new strain.

I had a look to the analysis they post and there are many serious approximations... an example:
HSI___Menu_Report___CBD_Grapefruit____KC_Virtus_jpg

1- a TOTAL value of zero for THC is impossible: even if they can have a zero value of Δ9-THC (I doubt...) a 1.2% of Δ9-THCA once decarboxylated will become a 1,05% of THC.
2- the TOTAL CBD is wrong. TOTAL CBD is not a sum of CBD and CBD-A but it is the sum of CBD and the decarboxylated CBD-A. How to calculate? You have to multiply the CBD-A for the coefficient 0.877. More info here.

So I really would not trust a company that sells a product declaring it has a 0% of TOTAL THC when, in fact, it has a 1% which is ILLEGAL in many countries.

@snaffle "Carmagnola CS" is the name. An Italian old selection, traditional multipurpose strain, but very interesting if growed sinsemilla! Delicate taste, fantastic smell, nice vapor, medium CBD (mine around 6%).

In the U.K it is illegal to grow hemp without a license )-:

@ktmstick can I ask what Swiss company you have ordered from?

Here in Austria cannabis products are only allowed if they have less than 0,3% THC. You get cbd flower from 7-10€. There also opened a coffeeshop where they sell and let you smoke, eat or vape cbd. The productions of cbd here are ramping up, I hope this will help to get it for a fair price soon.
I found some really nice tasting strains which i use during daytime (sometimes also mixes with other herb).

More and more people are talking about cannabis, that's positiv.
But on the other hand I think it's just a matter of time until we see further regulations. At the moment our goverment is discussing about prohibiting seeds and plants.

If the product looks as good as the pictures then it looks superb. The tangerine dream looks like quality weed, smells like quality weed and vapes like quality weed. It just doesn't get you blitzed!

I also checked out what is required to get a license and it doesn't seem too difficult and is £580 for the 1st year and £326 for a renewal.

Got some "Moonrock OG" buds from Switzerland. They're claimed to be from the strain "Felina 32" with 10% CBD and <0,2% THC. It's the first time I got a "pure" CBD strain. Sadly the buds don't taste as weed, not a little :(
As I read this thread, this seems not to be usual.

And I've got another question. Can anybody tell something about consuming such strains with ~0,2% to ~0,3% THC and doing drugscreening with a cut off by 10ng/ml? Will it'll be likely to cause a positive result?

From what I understand reading the gov website is that any produce by hemp farmers in U.K other than raw material such as fibre and seeds must be destroyed i.e the flower

@Alex3oe where did you purchase the dreaded moon rocks ?

@digitalessignal what are your favourite CBD strains?

@ander interesting reading your analysis of hempserv.ch's analytical report. Something about them seemed dodge. Mainly the info they give about thier products; they havnt yet replied to my message about if they add terps to their flower. Silence speaks volumes

Contacted them 1 year ago I guess, for info on seeds certificates... got a pretty useless reply after 6 months.

That's why I don't believe much in EU legalization and I think that a general cultural tolerance is more important... here in Italy, even if growing plants with THC is strictly prohibited (and all drugs here are on the same plan, MJ or heroin does not matter for written law), if there's not a clear traffic purpose, they tend to close an eye... and no one goes in jail for 1 plant.
Mine opinion, but genetics monsters of our days do not help... at all. :\

Did you end up getting hit with import duty by any chance? I'm thinking of ordering a couple grams, but import duty would add a hefty bit to the cost....

So it's review time! But a review with a twist!

Please excuse the extra long post, it's not without reason.

It took over the estimated time for my package to arrive from Sweeden and as such I got impatient and ordered a next day delivery from a UK source (Kingdomofgreen). This means I have 5 different strains to give feedback on.

From Mygrowingcompany in Sweeden: The Lady Orange Light smells very fresh, like classic old school orange bud, and is a nice light green colour. La Marianne is less appealing visually and smell wise, being much darker than in the pictures, and smelling a bit musty. That said, I actually prefer the effects and taste of La Marianne when vaping or smoking it (yes I admit I broke FC law and rolled a doobie). For me personally the effects are very noticeable; a relaxed feeling that I would describe as almost stoney, but not high. Looks like weed, smells like weed, tastes like weed. Very happy with my purchase.

From Kingdomofgreen in UK: I got Tangerine Dream, Tangerine Dream Kief, and Bubblegum. The first thing I noticed when I opened the Tangerine Dream bud & kief was the smell. The smell seemed too good to be true. The smell of tangerine stuck out in a very notable way; so much so that I would bet my left testicle that terpenes have been added...

...I'm going to (quite safely) go out on a limb here and say Kingdomofgreen's Tangerine Dream has been purchased from Hempserv (who we have spoken about earlier). The reason I make this assumption is for 2 reasons. Firstly because Hempserv only offer their Sour Tangerine in bulk, and you wont find Tangerine varieties being offered anywhere else online, apart from a couple of UK companies who are now stocking small amounts. Secondly the smell of Kindomofgreen's Tangerine Dream rings alarm bells in my opinion, and coincidently, (or not in this case), Hempserv offer a wide array of phytocannabinoids and cannabis terpenes to be added to buds. They offer a special deal on those that want to purchase buds and terpenes together that reads "BUDS+TERPENES OFFER: Complimentary Cannabis Terpenes of Same Cultivar (30% off regular price tag)". Furthermore the info on their buds reads "Organic Buds with Natural Fragrance of Sour Tangerine & High CBD Content, as Well as Other Cannabinoids". Note the word 'with' in that sentance. Hempserv's says their terps are "rich in CBD", which parallels the language they use when talking about the 'natural fragrance & high CBD content' that comes 'with' their buds.
I would also note that Hempserv have recently changed the THC content of thier Sour Tangerine Dream from 0.2% to 0.1%, but it matched the percentage stated on Kingdomofgreen's Tangerine Dream @ 0.2% only a few days ago. Hempserv also offer Green Lemonade buds in bulk which I think may have found their way onto other UK websites using variable Lemon names such as lemon haze. I can tell by the texture of the Tangerine Dream buds that there has been something added; the texture reminds me of when people sprayed sugar water on weed to add weight (a problem we had in the UK about a decade ago); a texture/feel I would describe as bendy buds...

...The kief from Kingdomofgreen stinks of tangerine and has a greenish shade. This green shade of kief is impossible to bind together without additives (ask any hashish maker). Surprise surprise and Hempserv also offer kief in multiple flavours; and although they don't offer it in Tangerine its not hard to imagine that it is on offer privately for large enough orders (especially when they sell this 'strain'of weed and if all you need is a splash of terps). Hempserv state "100% Compacted Organic Hemp Trichomes; without wax, glucose syrup or other artificial binders. Super Fragrant/ Aromatic!!!". If as I suspect the kief is from Hempserv, the binder (which they do not name) is most definitely terpenes. I would go as far to say that the 'kief' is created from non-specific strains (ground stalk and seed included) and simply loaded with CBD rich terpenes. I say this because it tastes like just that; ground stalks...

...I find both the Tangerine Dream bud and kief when vaped to be inconsistent in flavour, and I do not enjoy them compared to the other products. Maybe this is psychosomatic, but they just don't taste nice, or give a nice effect.

...With all this said, the Bubblegum I purchased from Kingdomofgreen is pleasurable and doesn't seem like it has been enhanced with terps from the smell or the texture/feel. The taste of bubblegum is very subtle and sits naturally within a fresh hempy tone. I really do like the Bubblegum, maybe even more than the strains I ordered from Sweeden; but with the lack of clarity around where the products are coming from and how clean they are, I don't think I'll be purchasing from Kingdomofgreen again unless I get a few things straight with them first...

...I asked kingdomofgreen if there was anything added to the products and they said there was not. As mentioned in an earlier post, I had asked hempserv about this, but received no reply. I appreciate that I am making claims that could be seen as jumping to conclusions, and maybe I should try and confirm with Kingdomofgreen if they do get thier product from Hempserv before making such statements. But this is my review, assumptions and all.

I honestly cant understand how it is necessary or justified to add terps without telling the consumer, honesty is the best policy and always has been. I will not be using any terps sprayed buds or kief and I don't advise others to either.

All in all, (Tangerine products aside), the size of all the buds from both vendors was good, no dust or shit looking buds; the general appearance, smell and taste, was as you would hope; I'm impressed; my friends are impressed; everyone said they noticed the relaxing effects; I'm able to vape tha 'erb without getting out my mind.

Following are images of buds for reference (please note I have used parts of all the buds in the images so they are less impressive than when first purchased)
