CCA Liger banger V3.0

I have not that glorious funds to afford a full AH setup just to use the coil. I am not so sure the AH would work with a High5 box either, or I would get just the coil and shroud. It is with a standard High5 flat coil that I expanded to fit tight inside the heat shield. No K type thermo, but it boils water very well at 270.

Ya i can confirm that the AH coil does not work with a high5 enail

Where are you guys getting this "Liger Air" info?

Several people have talked to Josh or the CS guy and received this info. Multiple people too so it isn't just one or two. More like 5 or 6. But it's still limited and all talk with no photos or drawings.

As per @ensabbahnur post in the kubeone thread, august has updated the app (available on iOS currently).

You can now select the type of cool you're using as flat cool liger. My coil temp using the old app (which was locked to 25mm coil) was 585, and now using the liger flat coil option is 408.

I think most of the folks here are pretty aware of what they're doing but more a word of warning newer users, if you want to start experimenting with similar temps you've seen posted you can start out with the standard 25mm setting =)

Nope...but it all depends on your nail and what your trying to accomplish with your setup...

August is aware of the temperature issue with the new Liger profile. There was a small typo on the initial release. He has submitted a "correction update" to Apple that should be out later today (3/12/18).

With the new Augusthaus App update, you can now create your own "glob" profiles. On the chart page, tap the golden glob. Click the plus sign in the upper right hand corner. Name your profile and set your time and temp. For instance, you could drop and cap at a surface temp of 330F and start a glob profile to take the dish temp up to 440F for an up-temp dab to capture all the terpenes and cannabinoids on the ride up to bliss.

How long do you have to wait for the temp to return to dab again? The wait itself would kill me as I do 3-4 dabs in a row.

I like the idea of up temp but not the idea of waiting to dab. Sorta like torching and waiting for it to cool down. I hated that wait which lead me to enails.

Still waiting on the correction update to dial it in, but initial testing shows it cools back down in 3-4 minutes. Taking the concentrate through its temp spectrum requires taking several hits so I consider it a session and not just a dab. The nail temp is usually ready for the next session long before I am.

Currently, I'm just using the preprogrammed "Taste Tester" profile. While it shows a program of 580F for 5 secs, the set point on mine only jumps to around 400F which lasts for a couple of minutes before the set point drops back down. (further investigation shows the "5 secs" is how long it holds at the bump temp once its reached.) Currently, the set bump temp numbers don't match the profiles in function. There is close to a 180 degree difference on the cool side.

My dish temps have been running higher than the set point since the update so I start around 320F. The coil reads around 50 now at room temp where it used to read low 70s.

Alright! CCA finally shipped out my replacement bucket as of Today.

So that means, between opening my ticket and having the issue dealt with, took a grand total of 75 days! (Dec. 28, '17)

Just a heads up for anyone considering making a purchase from them in the future. No matter how polite you are with Customer Service, they will still neglect and forget about you over and over again. I wish I was exaggerating. My entire exchange with them highlights how poorly ran of a company this seems to be. It's a shame..

Really hoping this thing is up to snuff, but I can't see myself ordering from CCA again. Simply on principle.

Hope everyone here had a wildly different experience than me, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Still, looking forward to the corrected bucket & my new eNail :)

Bullshift,

just_the_flu

they say im crazy but i have a good time
.... really disappointed to see the current state of affairs in this thread... i busted out my liger after reading @Danksta 's post and forgot how enjoyable this is... it's well built, looks gorgeous and my carb caps make good seals (storm and hurricane), however i do prefer to use a quartz directional flow cap over cca caps, have yet to pick up a bubble cap...

...i got my liger v3 early, actually ordered a v2 but josh offered me the v3 +caps at the same price due to the v3's just being released...

...i hope the company get's back on their feet sooner than later, i did want to get a 30mm liger but opted for a SiC halo instead... however i prefer the bucket style of the liger over the nail style of the dnail...

...i keep watching this thread for the day when things are getting shipped within reason (2-4 business days at most) and not having 'nipplegate' or the fear of them sending out 'seconds'.... or having to wait 75 days for your stuff....

...i should have got a 30mm when things were good... now i wait and watch for things to change back around... fingers crossed...

I will ask the " Did you stretch your coil " question, although I know you know that, and then add that I am using about 630 on a High 5 stretched and it is pretty hot. I assume you have no K type to measure your delta, so I would suggest finding out where it boils water to determine it and then go from there.

Liger Air up for preorder today along with a pretty good sale on inserts.

IOS correction update out for Augusthaus KubeOne app. Display temp is pretty close to actual dish temp now in the CCA710 Liger profile. (These temps are much lower than what you are used to seeing as the delta between the coil and dish are now taken into consideration.) As I use the Augusthaus custom coil, the new Liger profile works great for me. The Kubeone is as functional as any enail on the market with these latest updates. They used to be expensive but now go for $230 and come with a coil, banger and carb cap. (banger and carb cap not included with Liger custom coil).

There are now four preprogrammed "glob" modes. Each climbs to a different set point and holds that temp for five seconds until dropping back to your primary set point. While the profiles show temps ranging from 580 to 660 degrees, I have listed below the temps each actually target and achieve under the Liger profile.

"Taste Tester" climbs to 448F
"Just a drop" climbs to 462F
"Glob" climbs to 485F
"The Big One" climbs to 508F

You can program in your own glob profiles, but you need to add about 140 degrees to the temp you actually want the dish to achieve.

I've been setting the dish temp to around 330F, hitting a glob mode and sipping until I can take no more. The increased heat at the end is like downing a yard of beer. Those yard glasses have a big ball at the bottom that holds a deceptive amount of beer. What starts with sips of flavor ends in a blast of clouds when the heat kicks in.

LMAO... I know it but too stoned to remember for my buddy with the newvape. Thanks for reminding me. Ill call him and tell him to stretch it out.

I stretched my 20mm coil for my 20mm Liger and my deltas are 14F from with sapphire insert and 19F for obsidian. See pic below. This was done twice and both times stopped at these temps. Also, the number doesnt bounce around, it stays on 489 and 494. I had to do it twice to see if i was mistaken. I would assume the Sapphire would be a higher delta. I held the SS probe dead center of the insert as its hotter when i put the probe in the corner.

My starting temp is 508F and Obsidian is reading at 489

I also receive my Coojo cap for $45. But others are getting it cheaper so i guess you have to haggle his ass. He also forgot to ship my order when he said because he said he forgot. I do like it better on the Liger 30mm than the wierdeer cap only because the hole is tiny. Its much larger than wierdeer cap too. I cant even pour ISO in it to clean it at first. Had to submerge the fucker to clean in. It seals great and fits great. Has an ugly blue ink stain on top of mine so poor quality. Edit*** He said blue stain is the lip wrap. band of color draw onto the edge of tubing.***

So far, for each mess up, which is quite a few BUT they eventually corrected it and provide something extra. Dealing with replacement vapor buckets for the chipped intakes and nipplegate has taken a while but they will be sending me a Liger Air as a replacement V3 Liger. They offered me to send my back so they can re-machine the nipple off but this has a ugly chip and scratches on the intake.

And i am still waiting to here back on my 20mm vapor bucket replacement. They already sent me a replacement a month ago that was worse than the original. So bad it, insert at times would not go in or out. Never used the replacement once other than the interior since it didnt have a nipple on the bottom. I am hoping to get a replacement bucket before they are gone.

However, i still spend money with CCA as i do like their products. Just lower your expectations on how quick you will get your order and when it arrives, its like a surprise.

Cheapest Ive ever seen the inserts and Im all for re-inventing "the most successful banger system on the market" whatever that word vomit is supposed to mean but F allowing CCA to hold on to my money for me until they get around to sorting out their problems and meeting their own set commitments.
