I was the same way! I got over it once I coughed my balls out. It hasn’t struck me as odd since, now it’s just watching the milk pour out the perc! Pretty cool, cooler than bubbles if you ask me..

same here....good point invertedisdead ...about the lack of feedback without the water. It really makes it so weird and hard to sense what your getting as you draw. It should not be so odd and make the experience so different ....but it totally does. It is also smoother with the water on my old ass pipes.

I guess that life long technique of using water from day one for me has ingrained the feel and experience as a norm after 37 years.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh just got my first few 1 hitters down after setting up my glass bowl flowerpot again.....damn I love the ease and full control of the NewVape.....I feel spoiled having one. :ko:

Woahhh!! You've been water tooling weed literally since I was born?!!! :rofl:Well I will be 38 in a few weeks so maybe I just beat you haha.
I guess that makes me feel better in a strange way about being such a "cainer" since my teenage years.

I did yesterday and today try my first ever (deliberate) dry bubbler hits. I tried a glass vape in FC 186 dry yesterday, and today a log vape in dry FC UFO. The log vape has a little too much draw restriction for me through water. Going dry made an improvement here.

I do far prefer the ease of the inhalation without water. So easy to suck it all through. Not convinced it will become the norm yet, Im sure my lungs will ask me for hydration if I tried to make it regular.

Just a quick update on my return for service.....wow they got it monday and shipped it back same day!

Thanks for the awesome service NewVape....you guys rock
I too received a very quick turn around on the bad controller, they shipped the replacement the same day they received the defective one. Exceptional, better than my new purchase. Respect! -YaMon

@Vitolo dropping upper tech knowledge, thank you  I feel like a bit of a FP wuss at the moment. I've been hitting off the Halo and no flowers. I absolutely love the fact that the WA head is such a powerful heater, I have done a range of mini dabs to real globs and it just blasts through. I may have to put my slim base up on the classifieds soon, its collecting dust.

Almost there...
I have been using an Errlectric bent stand almost exactly the same as the one New Vape offered, just a lot sturdier. The way the head hangs over it has never looked very attractive to me.

The hunt for a unique stand has been long and many have come and gone...
Finally i have found a suitable stand that not only looks good but it works amazingly well and it fits perfectly! It's around 50+ years old and only cost me $10!

May i present...
The antique glass door handle with brass accent ring with a steel post inside the brass.

The very first FP hit I took was through a dry bubbler. I was so confused at first. I was surprised by how absolutely smooth and flavourful it was! I've got a little Gorrila Glue 4 running through it and it was so wow. My friend who tried it last night, and I quote, described it as "the end of the weed toy road". Granted, I much enjoyed the watery hits later!

I'm fond of anhydrous glass and sometimes find just a tiny bit of water in a piece (less than needed for function) is enough extra moisture while not robbing flavor.

I have tried my best to find this out but can't find my answer.
I own a flowerpot shower head and love it but want a wraparound also, will the showercap fit the wraparound or would a generic cap from a Chinese enail do the job.

Any help much appreciated

The showercap is universal with all of the FP heaters however, it doesn't seem to get pointed out often enough that the d-nail WA setup does not pair well with the showercap. It works, but it likes to slide around upon the halo. If you were to go the route of the halo WA setup, be sure to get the d-nail universal carb cap for fitment like glove.

@psychonaut woah you just tripped me out brother... was just about to post inquiring about if the d-nail universal cap would fit the WA d-nail halo! Come to post and see your post!! PM me if you're interested in dumping your slim base, I was contemplating it but looks so complicated compared to a WA setup and at least there is the versatility of flower. I was checking out at dnail's website and came across the carb add-on option, but didn't want to buy if if there was a compatibility issue, and just go with a showercap. Also debating that sapphire insert for only $40.

Yep fits like a glove, the halo sits about 3-4mm above the WA head and the carb cap really just rests atop the halo so it has a natural fit with no issues with the NV FP parts. SC works, I don't want to discount that, but with the d-nail cap you get a true seal with the dish and better performance.

I love the look of that...but it seems to be wildly unstable...is it?

Now why would i use something unstable to hold a 630F item?? LMAO!!

The Showerhead rests on top perfectly, no tipping at all just as i mentioned in the first post.
It is more stable then the bent stand i was using and that New Vape has discontinued.
The top part is flat and that is what the Sh sits on, much like the New Vape post for the SH.

*looks* unstable. Is it so heavy that its a weeble wobble? If its jostled, or the cord moved inadvertently, it stays upright?

If so, I'm headed to restoration hardware!

It weighs around 1 pound... Solid glass, steel core with brass trim.
I can shake the cord and it moves a bit but does not fall off.
I have to yank on the cord really hard for it to almost come off.
The glass base is 2 inches in diameter.

I picked this one up from a headshop for 10 bux + tax and it works pretty darned well. I kind of like how it lets the curve of the Auber coil handle do a lot of the work. If you need a solution, I'unno. It's cheap if you can get it without shipping.

:cheers:Good to see you back man, as a community we have been wondering with a little concern how you are, hoping things were okay. I tried stalking you lol (well, I kept a watch on your activity and saw you visited in Feb, so I assumed we might see you back again soon.)

Im sure we are all looking forward to any contributions and insights you have to offer on FP. Nice new bubbler. This thread will welcome a fresh injection of ideas and experiences from your side of the court when you are ready.:)
