I started at 170C and tried varying temps up to 230C. It seems the hotter I got the stronger the hit, but the more harsh it was. Still never hit like my water pipe does however.
It's actually a vape pen that uses disposable cartridges. It's a cheap $10 pen I got from a local vape shop, it holds a charge for weeks and hits much better than the pen I got from the dispensary.
It ranged from a tan to a dark brown depending on the temp I used. Idiot me didn't know to save it for the first few months... D'oh!

Ah, a concentrate pen is not going to give me the comparison I was seeking. I was hoping you could take some of the same batch of herbs and try vaping it in another model vaporizer and see how the quality of the session and ABV afterwards compares to your modded EQ.

Yep, that's exactly what I was doing. After all the reading I did I was under the impression that vaping hit harder than combustion. It seems I'm not making any major mistakes I just had unreasonable expectations.
Yeah, my lungs can't handle combustion for long so I much prefer the vape. I really thought the EQ was going to floor me compared to combustion so stopped using it thinking I was doing something wrong. Shoulda checked in here long ago...

I think you'll get the best results if you leave the EQ and the adapter of choice heating all day long, but without herb loaded. The EQ doesn't mind staying powered on for days or weeks at a time, I know I've left mine on over a great many weekends without any issues since 2012.
Maybe my pot isn't good lol cause I saw your pic your using 0.025 and I'm using a wholebcap
A lot depends on your tolerance too. I more regularly microdose so I need less in a cap.

No problem my friend. Let's get this dialed in for you! We start out by isolating the variables and you know me by now, I love asking questions.
- How do you get on with any other edibles? If you have used them, what dosage were they?
- When you're doing the decarb, are you starting out with a cold EQ and adapter, loading it, plugging the adapter, then powering on your EQ and setting the timer for 1 hour?
- Is the EQ left undisturbed during the decarb process until the adapter is cool enough to touch?
- (Sorry, I have to ask this) Are you using the fan at all during the process?

The hardest hitting combination for standard to heavier dose vapers would be The Original DDave Adapter and the 18mm Wand with Basket screen from V2. With V2, you can grind your herb finer than with the V3 pieces and thereby extract more goodies more quickly. The basketless stems are great for flavor skimming - just ensure to grind your herb medium to avoid grinding smaller than the filter holes in the glass. Elbow packing is always an option with the basket screens, but you will find it all but unnecessary using the 18mm Wand and DDave Adapter, as the act of drawing will lift the herbs from the screen up towards the basket... (call it Auto-Packing, if you will)....
The 14mm setup allows for micro-dosing vapers to enjoy the same powerful extractions and cloud production as their 18mm counterparts, but with less herb. Don't take this as you'll get way more medicated using far less herb in the 14mm pieces, that's not how it works. It only allows for great extractions from a fraction of the amount of herb that the 18mm setup uses. (The best way to understand this is to try to vape .005g out of the 18mm setup. It would be pretty disappointing. Much better extraction from the 14mm pieces would occur.)
Concentration Chamber is the place where you'd mix herbs and concentrates for really long flavorful sessions. It is true, the dosing chamber is smaller, but this is more to accommodate the medicine size needed when concentrates are involved.
Your best bet, if you are looking for the best extraction with the fewest hits from your vaporizer would be the 18mm V2 kit.

Sup everyone, reporting back! I found a solution in case anyone is in my boat and cant fit the newer elbow baloon pieces into the 14mm DDave Mod. Very simple, works well!(Ignore the DIY baloon bag fix
Also, I encoutered a little nuince, Its not really a problem, but maybe someone found this aswell. My whips often tend to knick in a way that will limit air flow to almost none. I wonder why this never happened to me with stock whips, since they are practicly the same. Im taking about this:
As I said, its really not that bad. But If theres a way to avoid having to fix it with both hands or when passing it around in a group, I wouldnt mind that. Anyone encountered this?
