Any 20mm coil works if you buy one from where you got your controller.

Not sure if this is where to ask, but does anyone have any good recommendations for a bong they LOVE to use with the flowerpot? Thanks
It may work with the Enail but some will not work well with the FP, Not all coils are made the same unfortunately and fitment may not be great. Some companies hand make them and the actual coil will not wrap the flowerpot post tightly enough to spread the heat evenly. I learned this 1st hand.

other than NV, is there a confirmed list of coils that 100% work. Or perhaps share what brands do not? Speaking strictly of fitment, and not connection.

Unfortunately there is no list but i can confirm that the one sold by NewVape fits well and the one i had purchased off ebay after trying several that did not fit my hex Nail works perfectly. This is the name of it and it uses the Dnail style connector but looks to be sold out on ebay : Aiicioo 120v 100w Enail Coil Heater 20mm 5 Pin XLR Male Plug with K Thermocouple , I just don't want anyone to buy a coil and than find out there Fp is not hitting well bc the coil is not hugging the post properly. I believe we had a few of those issues in the beginning of the thread. If others can maybe chime in on what they use maybe we can come up some sort of master list to help everyone.

* here is one i found for sale but location is in China and i had ordered mine from a U.S. seller : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Enail-Coil...266295&hash=item3f94eadbc1:g:hFgAAOSwk1JWb3pg

What a fucking day. The wife is heading out of town and the starter is shot! Spent the first three hours troubleshooting then wedged like a sardine underneath a 1 1/2 ton van on the gravel in single digit temps replacing the starter. I take cannabis for lower back pain and damn if my upper back is twisted up now too. SH coming to the rescue when I am fresh out of rosin, 720F on SH uncapped, 0.28gr strawnana magic flowers. Still in some pain but waaay better now. I could have easily went for any of my devices but the SH's extraction excellence made it a no brainer. Now it's time to make some rosin, gonna need double deckers to relieve some of this pain.

Hello
Regarding glass what do you use?
After reading a big part of this topic i understood that little waterpipe with few percs worked better...(in term of favor specially). Am i wrong?
Would à bigger bang (with recycler maybe) would allow To draw bigger hits? Would be less harsh on throat?
What glass do you recommand?

As for the nv pid I read that some of you have theirs disfunctionnal... after what time? Ars their pid heavy?

thanks @Justpassedu, info like that is gold. Must be some confirmed reports of the ultra popular auberins 20mm barrel fitting well?
Np bio, i really wish i had more info for everyone. I remember a few complaining of fitment using the auberins coil, don't wanna call anyone out bc i can't think back to who it exactly was. I know my 1st coil i got with my hex nail that came with it did not fit to well, i had spread the coil out and it was just dipping to much temp wise when i hit it. A master list would be great.

@psychonaut ouch sorry man, the fp should clear up all that pain and make it a better day.

@corwin33 how much are you looking to spend on glass ? do you want Chinese or American ? It is really personal preference as to what types of diffusion most like. A small piece most would use for dabbing wouldn't work to well with the fp , it really shines with a medium to large glass piece. Personally i like to switch my glass up and use a few different styles depending on my mood. Less water usually attributes to more flavor but that doesn't mean a piece has to be small.

I think i've read two accounts of the NV PID going belly up, which is pretty impressive compared to the number of owners that have had zero issues. Still, IMO the Auberins RDK controllers are the way to go, IF the coils fit nice (without having to use pliars and tweak). Just the dial itself makes it worth it.

The NV isn't heavy at all. It's just a China Vapecode controller AFAIK.

Thanks for your response. At first i planned to go with the auberins but i fear that the coil wont fit perfectly...and i think nv nail is not compatible with auber pid without resoldering the cable... so i think im going with nv pid and nail.

@Justpassedu
Thank you to
For me chinese glass as if i buy the fp i won't have much more money...
I would buy two pieces for my Fp.
One medium one big maybe?
What do you suggest? I m à total noob concerning glass... (except making à bong like i was 14 :ko: )

Thanks for your responses

just_the_flu

they say im crazy but i have a good time
Must be some confirmed reports of the ultra popular auberins 20mm barrel fitting well?

... Out of two 20mm auber coils I have both fit and work well. I've had two auber coils and had zero issues, never have had to adjust any coil yet *knock on wood* ... My 16mm auber one also did the job...

...tbh I prefer the auber coil over others for the fp/sh because of the 45° bend... I don't use a coil handle as I have not found the need as the end/nut part?? (Where clevlar meets) of the coil does not get hot...

EDIT: Coil handle not cover

{10} This is Hector. Hector is beast. He fell once and I almost lost him. But it made him stronger. I'm not surprised that NewVape's newly approved glass piece is very similar. I highly recommend a steam roller type rig for the FP.

Burn update: Ugly ass scars for the rest of my life. It was a 2nd degree burn. sooooo yeah.

@corwin33 I've read every post in this thread, not to say I recall every single one, but my NV PID failure is the first I recall followed by one other (sorry I do not recall who, have a fucking sinus infection and one week on t-break). I do not think these two failures are at all indicative of a trend.

I work in IT and if you want something to work 100% of the time you need redundancy. I love my FlowerPot so much I do not want any failures, I posted about this before my PID failed. We know coils have a lifespan, they do not last forever! Glass pieces break! and yes a PID may fail. But the bowl is fucking titanium, the only weak link with the bowl is the screens which I also have spares for... it's up to you how redundant you want your kit to be. My guess is the coil and glass are the most likely to fail/break, but I am not satisfied covering just those two.. but I may be nutz, so be it. Respect! =YaMon

Yw man better be to safe and NV I am sure would take care of any issue if one ever arose with your enail. @just_the_flu says they had no issues so you may be good , I just personally can’t guarantee fitment and waned yo unto be safe . You may be fine also going with the auber, it’s a nice enail. I’m just letting you know what I have come across . On the plus side I heard this was a nice piece : https://www.newvape.com/12-5-stereo-matrix-rig

That aiciioo one is the one i have in 16 mm and works good..i know it works with my controller which was bought used on here so unfortunately i dont know which pin alignment works..i know the aforementioned aiicioo works but is currently sold out..and the other ones on ebay seem to have the opposite pin alignment..dhgate has one that is the right match but when i went to order it my bank froze my card and issued a fraud alert and it was a mess..so of course rhe fiancee who hates weed and vaping with a passion but god bless her soul..so now im just like fuck it im gonna get a setup i know works..ive heard good things about the rdk 200 or id go with newvape directly..so many dang choices..

I would be very surprised if this has not been discussed before. If so, sorry to bore you.

When I take a flower pot hit I begin nice and slow until the vapor just begins to flow and then I speed up my draw to achieve my goal that I will call 'the vapor bloom' the point when everything rapidly milks out.
I was just wondering if others have noticed this vapor bloom or milk explosion, whatever a person wants to call it we all know what it is when it happens. When I hear a person speak of the flower pot not having a powerful enough hit (yes, I have heard this before) I have my doubts they have experienced what I am talking about. For me the vapor couldn't get any thickerer that I would possibly desire any more. Besides, after a couple hits like that most enthusiasts would be 'well done', as always, provided the herb was good.

:myday:

I do notice that ramp, and once it ramps up it hits pretty hard and fast! I have a very low tolerance, so if I’ve got a decent sized load and I don’t lift the showerhead soon after the vapor gets dense it can really take me out.

If the load is small and the temp is high though (666 and maybe even lower) it ramps up and then when the extraction is pretty complete it suddenly clears without lifting the showerhead. I know you know that, but other new users may not. ;)

If I’m at a lower temp (usually 555 right now) I generally keep a steady slow-medium speed, or maybe start out very slow, and at high temps I start slow-medium and ramp up to fast with the vapor production. Of course capping for the first few seconds also gets it going faster, but I’ve only tried that around 600 and below. I remember people saying they’d combusted with the cap at high temps.

Considering that I often get more than I can comfortably take in a full draw though, maybe I’d be better off with a medium or medium-fast speed most of the time.

The “vapor bloom” is real though, and it hits hard!

Oh, and I think that at least at lower temps speed and maybe other factors are important here, because I’ve been watching a new user with it lately and I rarely if ever see her get to that density. Maybe just because her draw is shorter and it doesn’t start as slow?

As a complet fraggin noob to this, yall can expect a lot of questions from me when i get my kit in. First time glass owner/user...first time enail owner so i know this is probably not something for a complete beginner but i trust that you guys will help me get thru so that i can get the vapor that i truly desire and need in my life!!!

There’s a lot you can try to get exactly the results you want, but getting started is pretty simple, and as long as you respect the “HOT” stand and the showerhead, basic usage is pretty easy even for someone who has never used any kind of vaporizer before.

You’ll be fine!

In my experience the most simple perc I have (4 columns of 3 large-ish round holes, 1 column on each side of the downstem) with a fairly small amount of water gives the most flavor for me. Of course still less than using it dry though.

The huge things with several percs and and a lot of water - the kind of setup that looks like a Rube Goldberg Device - are the most fun to watch, but they’re probably not going to let much of the flavor through.

On the plus side I heard this was a nice piece : https://www.newvape.com/12-5-stereo-matrix-rig

This is a good example that looks and feels nice but robs a lot more flavor, especially from micro-doses.

I still use it pretty often and I like it in most ways, but I tried a new strain through it last night and then finished a bowl that had been half used and sitting in my lowest diffusion piece for more than a day and I still got a lot more flavor from the small and simple perc.

I’m not trying to dissuade anyone from buying the stereo matrix, I think it’s great in most ways, but if you like the flavor of what you’re vaporizing I’d recommend having at least one simpler option, especially if you do a lot of micro-dosing. :)

Ty for the insight. In theory usually any piece that requires more water will bring out less flavor. I personally do not own this one but have heard a few like it so figured i'd recommend it. However i have noticed i do not really like using glass 2 small with the Fp, so a medium to large piece is usually what i will grab when using the Fp. Maybe you can help the guy that was asking and link a few you may like as i don't purchase much china glass anymore. I can recommend another which is this one i had purchased from this exact seller over 1yr ago and it was great and can be used as a smaller piece or connected to make it even bigger , I have since gifted it to a buddy but it was a nice 1 : https://www.dhgate.com/wholesale/se...eQuery=&seotype=&thirdattr=&_flush=-858467719

My personal favorite for the flowerpot is the Herborizer XL large bubbler, or if I had one, the RooR vapor XL bubbler (they look almost the same, the Roor is somewhat taller and more expensive).

Low diffusion, very long vapor path, very little actual water required.

The only gotchas are that Herborizer is no longer making the XL large bubbler themselves, but verdampftnochmal still sells them, and that due to its design I wouldn't suggest it for people with problems keeping glass unbroken (the mouthpiece is very long and can be a bit of a hazard in public areas, let's put it that way).

Not cheap, but IMO worth every cent.

lazylathe

Almost there...
@RalphsBlend

Another major difference is the perc.
The Herbo has 4 large holes while the RooR has about 14 small holes.
I would think the RooR would have less chug to it.

And yes, the SH fills the RooR with dense vapor and micro loads!
Needs frequent cleaning but it only takes a few minutes!

I think Op was looking for something inexpensive that is why i had recommended it but if op wants to go up in price i got a few i love also.
