@JCat Bro you are on a roll! WOW! Thanks so much for the video nice work!!!

Two big advantages that I perceive over the SV4 with your SV3/SVE hack!

1. Ability to see temp right at the bowl vs the coil/block for the sv4. Going to be some trial and error with the sv4 I assume.

2. You have a perfectly working functional stand! SV4 doesn't.

Keep up the awesome work buddy!
For #1, might want to get one of these: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B071V7T6TZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XODIAbYSW2W5M

(Thanks @stickstones )

For #2, are you sure Ed isn’t including some sort of stand?

Anyways ... I’m really happy with it!

@JCat this is an awsome business situation for Ed- he launches the greatest new version, you are his only competitor, (who I could actually see chalking up just as much business, maybe more?)

So there could be an increased demand for SV3's, sales of electric may slow as demand for the "Jcat SV3.5", and hence, the SV3 soar. Either way, Ed wins. I bet he would be quite happy to just build SV3's for you to Macgyver while he gives his feet a little rest.

I reckon you will soon be able to charge an extra fee to dismantle SV4's on request to turn them into the (apparently better) 3.5! ;)

Great mod, @JCat !

Much more interesting than a Sv4 for me cause

1) cheaper than the Sv4 (I hope so at least! :myday:) especially if you already have a Sv3, coil, controller)

2) more versatile cause you can use the Sv3 as it is as a portable or with some short screwing as a desk top device with your mod.

3) Don't worry about a defective (integrated) coil. Changed in a minute if you have a replacement coil at home.

Interested in hearing your price.

I’m thinking $40 USD for the first 4 pre-orders which will allow me to buy materials and tooling. That will give me enough for a few more prototypes as well to get my process down.

The plates may need to be tweaked slightly based on each different coil as well (for example someone was asking me about a hex nail which is a 30mm OD coil vs 26mm of the high5 one I’m using.)

I’m thinking probably $60 after ore-order if I decide to keep making them.

Really nice work @JCat

And nice progress so far looks like you really improved really quickly

You just got me to pre order that thing even before I have my sv3:clap:

My technique for ground bud is suck bud into the bowl like a straw. Then I insert and cook it to about 370f. I use my Dremel butane torch to heat it near top of the heater with the tip of the flame. I get one awesome cloud and between one to three smaller ones.

Edit. Oh and I use my scs grinder, I just did a bowl of blue City diesel. Took me six minutes from start to finish including clean up and packing everything away.

Clean up ; packing things away? You need to come over here. My wife would love you. LOL
I've been heating to about the same temp. ,but I have my bowl barely in and then heat it
up. I push the bowl all the way in then take a hit. I vary my hits in this manner from almost
total convection to fully immersed conduction according to the herb and my state of mind.

My S3 has been acting odd for the past few months and i never paid much attention to it.
I have a few other vapes to choose from, so i put the S3 in the drawer and forgot about it!

Now that i have some time i decided to look into further as it is such a great vape!
The issues were:
Display would go blank during heat up and not turn on unless i pressed the button
Display would go blank while heating and turn on again at a lower temp then jump up and be way over temp
Display would show a normal heating up temp and then drop, jump etc so you never knew what was going on!

I changed the battery a few times with partial success.
I changed all the silicone tubes and cleaned the sensor and re-positioned it with partial success.
I checked the connections and they seemed good, had to be them though!
A gentle wiggle and the one side just slipped right out, the other side was tight and perfect.
Whip out the soldering iron and solder the connections and we are back in business!!

Temp readout is rock solid and the first hit reminded me why i love this vape!
Another very unique vape signature!
Time to get to know this beast again!

Sounds nice that you figured it out by your self:clap: nice that you can fix some things by u're selfe at this vape and sounds like another proude owner more that would recommend it

It's worth fixing for perfect ABV all the time! This nugs milked up my WT with more than I could handle! Perfectly roasted from outside to inside and just crumbles when you touch it.

I have to review the 04 BMW X3 for use as a supreme v3 accessory

I give it 1/5 for usability
It provides a relatively comfortable place to vape aside from the heater Burns

Would vape in again but a lot more carefully.

Would not recommend to a stranger

What should we see? Somebody who is vaping in a BMW? Less interesting.
Seeing how the burnings - btw what burnings, can't see any - happened? Much more interesting! ;)
Honestly my S3 would be the last device I use in public regarding safety of handling and stealthiness.
But world is full of danger freaks.

I'm doing the vaping on my private property.

I'm not a danger freak and I was only driving the BMW for the day yesterday. The 2012 Camry is a far superior sv3 accessory.

One of 5 Burns I received in that man roasting car!

Edit: actually one of six. I forgot the oldest one. It's not the worst one either, the worst was from my torch.

This should make yesterday's photo clearer. That was before this after.

Edit: I should note 3 of 4 Burns suffered yesterday were on this arm. The other one was from reaching over to put my j hook into the sunglasses/water tool holding compartment.

Oh and only one of them kind of hurt really. Most were just itchy and sore.

By the grace of God I have not set myself, or my house on fire yet, and with the Supreme's heat block and the Errlectric's herbnail I have been real careful not to burn myself. If you move slow enough, sort of like scuba diving, you can feel the radiating heat as a warning. I'm too clumsy to use the Supreme in a car..... ah what am I doing officer? I'm ah welding this block to my console.
No way, the Supreme stays on the porch.
Before I bought these vapes I promised myself to be fucking careful! No reaching over hot devices.
I have much better- safer- vapes for outside use. MFLB :myday:
