@beyond6strings you may need to adjust the 8mm bore.

Try the tip in the fresh cut end as any flame polish can deform the tube.

I used rolled up sandpaper to get a good fit on some 10mm tube I have.

Beginning of last year I bought 12mm tube and had it forwarded to get some work done before I received it.

I've seen one tube and heard nothing else back so I've given up.

I also used a gas powered soldering iron to flame polish the tube ends.

If you get it just right you can see the cut edge go liquid enough to take the sharp edges off but not so soft that it goes out of shape.

@beyond6strings cutting is a different matter. You need to try and get one continuous line to snap it cleanly.
1mm wall was a pain your 2mm may be easier.

I cut any glass on my wood lathe with diamond files now, much easier and a good cut everytime.

Hello everyone....Namaste from India !

I am a Dynavap and generally a vaping newbie. After reading heaps of online stuff and especially this website and this thread, I took the plunge and ordered my first vaporizer - the Vapcap M.

I only have access to good quality Charas, the traditional hash from northern India. No flowers sadly.

I have only had my Vapcap for less than 24 hours - but I think I may be getting the hang of it and it might just work with our Charas from India. I am very happy to report that after fiddling around with it sinze yesterday, I am finally sitting here on my couch and feeling nicely medicated right now.

I am sure it will only get better once I get the hang of it a bit more. And also once I receive the torch lighter that I ordered online . Till now I have been heating it using a zippo lighter and a candle.

Cheers have a nice sunday you all!

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Well the 7 fins are listed as OUT OF STOCK. Ti MP still available. Does that mean no more 7 fins? Are all the orders in production now?

Hello everyone....Namaste from India !
Hello @NayiZindagi and welcome to the forum. Glad you found us. Since you don't have access to flowers and using an M, there is enough info here that might help you get the most out of your Charas.
Some use things like hemp fibre etc.

I think the M might be the best choice of vapcaps as well. Conduction may be desirable? Glad you getting along well with your vape as well.

Are any of you concerned that you may be inhaling hexavalent chromium by using a stainless steel piece with a torch? Are you supposed to soak/clean the 'M' before use? I have heard that SS especially likes to hold onto oils from manufacturing that if you don't clean could end up being inhaled. Personally, I like being able to use a new device without having to clean it before using it. Also, I believe that after use I would become paranoid that I inhaled some metal compound, so I am not sure that this would be the best device for me. I am completely intrigued, though, I cannot afford the TI model. Cheers!

@NayiZindagi be nice too see pictures of beautiful India, with your M.

Enjoy your M with the charas, and welcome to the VapCap magical mystery tour!

Thank you very much stark, I will be posting a picture soon. About the charas, well...how can I describe my feeling...but let me tell you this...I have been smoking Charas for many many years now, and today for the first time I truly experienced its real taste....really quite an experience so far. I hope that after some more experience after using it will help me to get more out of the M in terms of the high and other benefits of vaping as well.

Thank you mate!

It's exactly the opposite here. Life can be cruel! ;)
Namaste & welcome to the Vapcap and forum, you will LOVE both!

Yes can be cruel indeed, you have no idea how badly I want to smoke some "exotic" strain from the west :)
I guess I will be spending some more time here now :)

Hello @NayiZindagi and welcome to the forum.

Thanks man, yes I have also used the hemp fiber ..to prevent the device from getting dirty quickly and pack the charas into the chamber as well.

Our rules do not allow the discussion of materials safety in a device thread. You can start a thread on the general topic of the safety of using a torch with stainless steel, but it can't be model-specific. Thanks for your cooperation.

Any vaporizer should be cleaned before using just as any new dish or cookware should be cleaned before using. A Vapvap may have residual oils on it from the milling process and these should be removed.

It is very easy to run a Q-tip through the condenser and swab out the tip with a bit of ISO or dissolved PBW then fixed with water and dried before using. Easy peasy and you've got yourself a clean vape.

Scored an old smooth-body omni from a fellow member the other day. It's only been a few sessions but I think I'm in love

The clouds this thing puts out are fkn ridiculous, especially for such a small device. I've gotta experiment some more but heating the base of the cap with a single flame torch like I've been doing is highly effective. I've got no complaints on flavor. There were a few times I thought I combusted, but herb was fine when I checked it. Looked through the old pocket microscope and saw plenty of trichome stalks, so I hit it again and got another massive cloud. This thing definitely lives up to the hype and I'm very pleased to own one.

I know this has probably been covered multiple times, but what's the technique when utilizing the omni MP? Do you adjust it and hit with the carb open or shut? I've tried it a bit with the carb closed and that felt like I was getting the right resistance, but want to double check with the veteran cap heads.

The way I use my Omni is generally to leave the carb open and adjust the airflow until it's right where I want it. I test the adjustment by tapping my finger on the carb hole and seeing how much the draw resistance changes.

The idea is to dilute the vapour to a more comfortable level for me, and also cool it down so it doesn't burn my lips.
