Man Cave

I was sitting in my room other day and I thought its probably my ideal mancave. I have my vape, tv, computer, xbox, my guitar equipment, and my stereos all in one room. In fact people often make fun of the fact that I really only stay in one room of my house all day. So what's your ideal mancave that you'd love to have or that you already have? Women are welcome to answer too.

The best area to live in my house is in the basement. We have a legit pool table 9ft, a ping pong table, a full bar, old school coffee shop tabletop arcade game with 39 games on it (pacman, mappy, centipede, donkey kong, etc.), the PD of course, 64 inch pioneer elite flatscreen HD plasma tv, stereo system wirelessly linked to my itunes folder, basketball hoop right outside, I have a fun "man-cave". Need a trampoline then could really have some fun. Wii and computer also are in the room. And I have a dual top-loader for NES and SNES games, no more messing with my janky systems to get them to work.

Well we had a man cave added on for my husband.... It's a nice man-cave from what I've heard LOL! I try not to go in there, NEVER use that bathroom LOL! Video games, big tv, recliners... yeah whatever, there's no vape in there!

My son has his cave too! It's nice having the man caves, keeps the rest of the house free for ME

lmao, you sound just like me, minus the xbox. In my man cave i have my 60" 3D DLP and my quad core gtx260 gaming rig thats hooked up to it, my 500w stereo, 2 really comfortable chairs (one a high backed office chair and one a light but comfortable leather recliner), 2 guitars (ESP MH-400NT, BC Rich Virgin plat pro), mini fridge, and electric tea kettle.

it's a great setup, it's like watching movies/playing games in a movie theater. sometimes me and my friend pull up tabs for a song in GuitarPro and mute everything but the drums and then hit play and play along with it. Having it auto-scroll through the tabs full screen on the 60" is perfect. It's like playing REAL guitar hero or guitar karaoke maybe. good fun.

my g/f complains i spend most of my off time in one room too, that i dont spend time in the living room she decorated and stuff like that. but there's only a 32" tv in there, and it has BASIC CABLE! that's right, about 12 channels in STANDARD DEF!

I feel for you steiner, maybe to make her feel better you can let her "decorate" the room you spend time in so it doesn't seem like you are neglecting her or her work haha.

I did forget to mention the comfort, I have a massage chair in the basement, very awesome. It is an old school one but hey it works and is nice, plus it was free from my uncle. And for the moment in the basement, I have a couch, it was a free couch from craigslist that I bought to keep in the bed of my truck so I could always have a place to sit and chill . Unfortunately, it is raining way too frequently to keep in there at the moment, so it is sitting in the basement, I am excited to get it back in my truck.

To smogtown, I am currently working to acquire the hot tub time machine that is featured in the upcoming movie The Hot Tub Time Machine, but until then, I just have to suffer.

To wowthisisrandom, I wish I possessed some musical talent, I would love to be able to play guitar or something, I am just retarded when it comes to learning music. I tried taking up guitar several times, it's not for lack of practice, I spent about 2 months with an hour + per day but it just didn't work out, needless to say, my friends enjoy my dad's acoustic guitar (an Ovation, i believe, nothing special), and an old school electric with a decent amp.

my man cave is my whole apartment. i live with my girlfriend, and if i ever want to play video games or watch sports, i tell her to go do something else. and when my friends come over, i usually tell her to leave. but if she still wants to hang around me and my friends, i tell her she can, but she has to wear an apron LOL

just so you know that im not a complete asshole, she gets hers too, nonstop marathons of desperate housewives/lost/greys anatomy while i go in the bedroom and jerk off/read/listen to music

Yea the other shoe, I love playing the guitar. I have to say nothing motivates me to play like a good bowl. I've been playing around 2 hours a day for like 2+ years now and still enjoying it. I'm in a comunity jazz band that plays at local venues also, that's really fun.

And I can read good I kno what ur talking about, sometimes when you're trying to do something manly it takes away from the experience when a g/f or something is there. That's mostly what I mean when I say "mancave", a place where you can get away from girls to do manly stuff.
