I have that option but it was already activated. I've tried mid, top, on and off in various combinations but there is no logo showing up.

Do I flash the logo the same way I flash the firmware?

Also I have another question: when you turn on your tubo evic with 5 clicks what coil resistance is the menu showing? Right after boot it always shows Coil 0.220 - when I press the fire button it changes to my set value 0.209. Is this normal?

the resistance beeing a bit different when inserting a battery is normal and switch to the known resistance upon a fire press.

Hey guys really interested in this but was wondering if anyone could put up some videos of the Dual using both batteries and comparing the two? I plan on ordering once FJ is back in the shop but I dont know if I should wait for the Dual or just go ahead and get the original. Any information would be helpful on the dual because there doesn't seem to be much about it because its so new!

The only noticable difference should be battery life. I don't mind swapping singular 18650s (and dual batts will need to be matched pairs) but you will need to swap a lot if using cruise often

A size comparison. It also comes with a single battery section you can swap over, which then makes it an identical size to the og.

Apart from battery life - The max wattage is set to 120w instead of 70w, so it can theoretically handle bigger draws. The most I've managed is about 110w peak ( :freak: ) but generally 70w is enough unless you've got olympic lungs.

Edit. But, to clarify, I haven't seen a particular difference in cloudage between the OG and dual. Bigger draws won't always equate to proportionally bigger clouds I guess. But this is where I'm on shaky ground!

Interesting, that helped a lot! Have you noticed that the bowls are heating up quicker because of the higher wattage?

Has anyone figured out an average amount of sessions you get with the dual opposed to the OG?

I was also kinda nervous about the battery sliding in and out all of the time as i dont want it to get loose at all, everyone with the OG said they loved the magnetic battery doors but i haven't heard much about the ones for the Dual, anyone have any ideas on it??

The bowl heats quickly regardless which unit you use, no discernible difference for me.

I love the hatch at the top on my dual for the two battery option... but don't like the way you swap the battery compartments/swap a single cell (and I do swap 'em often), but swapping cells in the og is a breeze.

So I'd say if you will be working with single/unmatched cells mainly, go with the og. If not then maybe consider the dual :hmm:

oops. its not the first unit the logo is missing...
more or less yes. there is a button "LOGO" within the normal joyetech updater. the logo is included inside the updater zip file on the firmware tab on lamart.ch

Thanks but the joyetech updater isn't working with my device/computer. Any possibility with the NToolbox?
Otherwise I'll have to find another pc to try it with hoping my evic will be recognized.

oh yeah right.
you need to do it with the nfirmwareeditor.exe (also included in the nfetools package). go to the tools tab and select firmware update. you should see a button LOGO right away.
still weird that ntoolsbox can update but not the joyetech updater. are you sure you use the one for the evic vtwo mini? there is a specific updater for every joyetech model, they are not interchangeable.

I'm using the joyetechupdater from your website called "tubo-joyetechupdater.zip" and inside is the "UpdateFirmware-windows.exe". Is it the wrong one? Was the only one I found beside the Ntoolsbox.

Well inside the Ntoolbox I can't find any option for "logo", just tried it and the only the I can chose is "Firmware Update" -> new windows opens -> "Update from file" - here I'm allow to just chose *.bin files.

the one provided by me is the right one for the tubo evic. dual needs another one, will update the page when i have time, for now all are running the latest firmware anyways.

there used to be other exe files in the folder besides the ntoolbox.exe, the one you are looking for is nfirmwareeditor.exe

so... where can i get a fitting capsule that stays closed?

the "bowl" screen & bent cover method tends to fall off too easily and many times when carrying the Tubo the material is scattered away and wasted.

never wanted to beat that one ;)
@rozroz
Do you mean the basket screen is falling out?
There were instructions long ago how to make them hold. You basically just squish it together a bit because pushing it's depth smaller makes it wider.
That way you can either close the stem containing material or make a double basket screen capsule that also stays put.

thanks, but i already tried squishing in any way possible and it's just unreliable.
i need a sealed dedicated capsule.. are there any?

Not that I know of.
Except funkys experiment with the mighty capsules.
As far as I know he's still working on getting fitting stems produced for those.
But maybe someone else has used a closed capsule with their tubo.

but aren't these too deep? i mean.. all i need for micro dosing is the lid size itself ;)
half this size would be more than enough for me.

Agreed that is their problem, too far from heater and in general I find can screens rob heat so I also just fill baskets close to the heater (custom shallow rimmed rbtscreens) but @muunch created what you describe using two of the rimmed basket screens together and crushing one of them. It would be nice if VXL made some small ELBs even half the size wouldn't it?

Do these work well? Do you have any pictures? Im really interested in seeing the capsule system that works the best for the Tubo. xD

They do work, just load a lot and/or turn up the temps. With cruise its good and can get avb black even, but taste suffers. I think if you google they should come up for the Evo, and they do fit in the bent stem and ddave stems
