Discontinued Haze Square

Just that dude
@Haze Vaporizers Should the parts be sanitary upon receiving them? Or should we clean before first use?

Hi Guys

We announced Square only on FC Forum, intended to do preorders from here first but it looks like our discussions here may be shared on other forums or sites by members/viewers since we received more than 3x of the anticipated preorders within the first 3 days. Although we planned on announcing it publicly through all of our channels weeks ago, we are still holding that announcement as of today due to this.

We received very limited inventory and we are shipping orders based on their order as they were received.

Please note that once you finish the checkout on the site, the site actually sends you a confirmation but we only receive that order into our actual inventory system once the credit card processor disburses the payment.

Some payments are delayed 3-7 business days depending on the type of card you used, depending on whether it is an international card or depending on if there were any discrepancy between the billing address you put on the site vs actual billing address that you have on file with your financial institution.

Some payments get flagged as possible fraud or failing billing address verification by the card services merchant processor and they place a hold for few days and release it to us after 3-7 days.

What this means is: Even if you think that you placed an order on say 22nd, we may not have seen it as an order before 29th etc.

This above process has nothing to do with our operation as these are regulated by the financial institutions.

I want every member to be confident that we do not favor one order over the other. We literally sort orders on our end based on their date (the date that it hit in our inventory system) and ship them one by one. There are many members on this forum that have helped us with their beta feedback and even their units are not shipped until April which we would have preferred them to be in the first batch.

The other subject that I want to point out is this: We received a portion of our full order and the other small portion is still in customs clearance as of today. It means that there will be more shipments later next week but as I said that it will not be enough to cover all preorders to date. All preorders are guaranteed to ship by April.

I am hoping that all customers who placed preorders will see the benefits of the incentives that we offered for these preorders and be patient with us. These incentives will discontinue by the end of March and we will be in full shipment mode after that.

Thank you again for your ongoing support and we are working as hard as we can to make everyone happy and meet expectations.

just got it! build quality looks phenomenal. cant comment on vapor quality as im having troubles with combusting on lowest of temperatures(even after setting custom temps).

I am so excited! I feel like a kid. I probably won't get mine for a while, maybe a week or more. I hope, I don't burst, before it gets here. Please, tell us everything and more when you lucky dogs get your Haze Square. Patiently waiting ( kind of ). Happy Valentines Day.

I started charging before anything else, then a read of the directions and a cleaning of metal parts with iso and silicone with warm water and gentle soap. I don't know how often we'll need to clean, but I think it will be fairly painless.

Out of the box, I think all the colors are set to white, or just all the led colors lit. I played with my first load like a total nube and thought I finished by combusting. I emptied and checked, but nope, just very close I think. That led to wanting the app to see what I was doing.....

I had some problems downloading the app on my desktop. It downloaded on my laptop fine, then it took me a bit to realize that the unit must be turned on to be recognized, I had a moment. Updating was fast and intuitive, finding colors wasn't too bad.

I had no idea where I was on the temps first bowl, but once in, I realized it was probably at 430F and I was honking on it pretty good towards the end when I thought I combusted. I can't wait to try some rosin in this tonight!

I'm not convinced my C is great for this, and I've not played with temps, packs, inhale speeds or anything, so all of this is truly just my impressions after using it as I would naturally without any guidance. I got very little vapor at lower temps. Taste was good, sometimes great, but even after some (I think, but won't swear to it) high temp burn offs, I still detected just the slightest taste. If I had to guess, it was the coil burning in.

If one thing did jump out at me, it was the mouth piece. Don't like it. It doesn't hold very tight, I'd call it loose. It both turns and pulls out very easily. I will say that it helps keep the vapor very cool, even at high temps.

The unit can get warm on the exterior, but was never uncomfortable. I will be glad when my silicone sleeve arrives, not because of heat, but because I can see this surface will chip and ding showing the silver below. I only say that because my unit had a few very small dings out of the box, most likely during assembly, and all at corners and/or edges.

If you have any questions, just let me know, I'll be playing with it all night as my evening's plans got postponed with sick children.

Below is a pic of the first three loads. The order is first on top, third on bottom. The first was the one I honked on it unknowlingly. The pic may be hard to tell, but there is no ash, but some very dark flecks with the rest being dark brown. The next two loads started at 370F and finished at 410F so I could compare it to a Mighty's ABV. Mostly consistent ABV and I'd say I loaded the bowls somewhere right around 75-85% full with no tamp or pack. To be very fair, I believe this crop was intended for oils, it had a lot of trichy leaves, but they tend to vap without getting dark, so the ABV may not be a good representation.

I can say that it at least hits pretty nice if not hard. I can also tell that if this becomes a daily driver, I'll be buying more than the one spare top with all the canisters and hope that @Ratchett or @Haze Vaporizers comes up with a nice lid for the whole thing. I don't think I'm going to want to repack this away from home, I'd much rather bring two spare trays that can be hot swapped if I'm in a group. And I think this vape may be good for that.

Tonight will be some Rosin and maybe connected to water, as well as other possible requests as long as I can stay upright :freak:

*** Edit***
Ok, I've had a chance to run a nice Amnesia that was at 59% rh thru it and have a different perspective. This thing does hit hard, and it does produce vapor!

I was a little more thought out this time and loaded again, and payed attention. Freshly ground and as follows:

1 - 1 gram very light tamp, went native mouthpiece, started at 360F for about 5 tasty hits, then stepped every two to three hits at 380F, 400F and 415F. There may have been a little more left but felt I'd gotten my money's worth. The taste never went bad, just away. The vapor temp was anywhere from cool to only warm, even at 415, I didn't mind it. I don't have much of a problem with heat though, so take that with a grain of salt. After the first two bowls I check the Abv and it was mostly even, med to chocolate brown.

2 - 1.5 gram, very light tamp, first half thru a whip and small pancake bubbler, the second half thru a SONG and the same glass. Same temp stepping as above for science's sake. Taking firm, fairly fast pulls the whole time, it never white-walled, but did produce a lot of vapor. It works great with water and was easy both ways. Abv was a little more even and on the darker side. I may have been pulling a bit harder with the water or it may have been the larger load. i'm interested to hear what others find as well.

3 - 2 grams very light tamp, still working on it and having a hard time typing. I will say that it strips and delivers, my face is cold and my ears are ringing lol. I'm going to slow sip this one at 360 for a while and read. I'll never get to the rosin tonight, so that will have to wait.

I'm sure I'm just scratching the surface of this thing, but I can tell it's a keeper. A few more rounds of testing and dialing her in should be a lot of fun. What's even more interesting is thinking about how these guys keep hitting the details and making improvements. If they treat this like they did the Dual, we're going to be very happy.

A couple of general thoughts...... I know there was early talk about the lack of a screen. In a very short time, working this has felt natural, I like it simple like this. It actually works better for my usage style. When using my Mighty, I step thru temps very similar to how I did tonight and this was much easier! I wonder if they'd consider adding an option in the Pro app to change the color of the led ring when it hits temperature to your temp setting? I'm guessing in a few days it will be second nature to make note of what temp on set on when i turn it off. Sort of like making a mental note with your battery and your Mi so you don't have to guess when you grab later. But until then, and because on a night like tonight, I'll never remember, I think it changing to your temp color would eliminate me having to bump it up and down to see where I'm at lol.

I received mine today as well, and it has the same flaw in the body. I’m not ocd, but it did bother me a little.

Unfortunately, I’m on a vaping hiatus due to illness, so I haven’t had the chance to explore performance yet.

I agree with @MonkeyTime that this was much smaller than I imagined, though the width is bigger than imagined. For it's size, it's pretty dense. I just cleaned all the parts, so while waiting for them to dry, this will be on the product itself. My background is in manufacturing, so I may be a bit more rough with my opinions.

Whomever they picked to make this device didn't do the worst job I've ever seen, but they weren't that good. I'll start off with the mouth piece, since it disappointed me the most. One side has scratches of some sort that goes from the little knob to the tip. So, i just feel roughness on half of my lips, smooth the other half.

The rest are pretty cosmetic and hopefully don't mess with function.

This one seems to have the button misaligned with the body. I used a jewelers loupe to verify. I don't think Haze would've designed it with such a big tolerance.

The large silicone piece seem to be really tight with the body. It took a few minutes to pick it off, struggling. So yeah, seems mostly cosmetic issues expect for the mouth piece. I may have to try sanding it or something.

Seems I should've checked the app before, seeing as its only for Windows 10 and not 7. So, can't even download the file.

Just for clarity- with your load sizes, you mean 0.1 grams, 0.15, 0.2? Right?

Surely not 1 gram, 1.5, 2 gram chambers?

Sweet starting out looking like everyone who has their device so far has some manufacturing flaws. For a $200 vape this should not be acceptable. @Haze Vaporizers care to comment?
Yes and taking notes. This was the purpose of preorders from our perspective and this is the reason that we launched it here on FC before anywherelse. We know that this community is mostly enthusiasts and their feedback simply help us perfect the product.

Opening up, I found some sort of liquid around the center on each side.

Anyone knows why I can't see @Zondo photos?

It's because his link urls are private google user content. Pics need to be uploaded to a public photo sharing site like imgur for the rest of us to view.

One of the preorder incentives is that we are giving FREE upgrade to any new version. We call the batch 1,2 3 etc. Every customer who have been in batch 1, who already received their units for example, will be able to upgrade at no cost to new units as they are released. So noone who already invested into this product will be left behind when we make improvements based on feedback.

On the other hand, you can always PM me if you changed your mind and we can cancel your preorder and provide 100% refund immediately. There are several members here on the forum who reached out to us for any possible extra units and we promised them to get units to them if there are cancellations. So please let me know.
