Nice job on the stems. I recall being asked about making something for the capsules once, but never got any to try. Do you leave the flower unground so that small particles from ground flower don't pass through? Maybe just a course grind? I do like how wooden stems tend to stay in the glass joint better than a glass stem. Getting a glass liner in the wood can be a challenge since the glass tubing can vary in diameter.
i did it first!lol
there is an internal screen in the stems themselves as well, they can also be used without the capsule.
did grind the flowers, some fine particles come through, the holes are rather big on the capsules. should be good with a medium to coarse grind even without the screen in the stem.
given my limited experience (4stems) i had no problem with the glass insert until now. i use the highest quality boro silicate glass tubes for my stuff, schott duran. i think one of the key features is that they are tight within specs! i havent had my stems long enough tho to see whats happening after some time.

yes wooden stems fit the glass joints very snug, also if they dont, not all is lost in an instant.
now, we only need them bent wooden stems... @Alan are you a wood bender?:)

today at the lasercutter, it had to be done:

Hey all. New to this thread. Finally pulling the trigger and ordering me a Tubo!

Quick question on the whips. Does anyone know the main difference between the "hand wrapped whip" at $21 vs the "pet braided" at $11? I'm guessing just the outer wrap, but if one is easier to clean than the other, that may help me make a choice. (Also trying to save a buck here or there as my cart keeps $growing$ with add ons.)

Thanks @sickmanfraud and @Lookatmeglow for trading pm's. I'll post my unit when I get it. Take care!

Really really love that wooden stem @funkyjunky

Definitely interested if you manage to make more branded ones that will accept the ELB tops :)

Anyway, I am curious if anyone here is using a padded+zipper case for their tubo? I've neglected one til now and think I'd really like to get one that can fit my dual+a stem(and hopefully a jyarz chico/satchmo... if it could fit maybe 1 of each and a vapcap+torch lighter... I'd be in heaven but maybe I'm getting carried away here...)

I think a Switch/camera case would be maybe good? If I can find one that's tall/wide enough to fit our little bulky boi in there but I need to look, figured I'd ping here before I get lost looking...

Cheers

The yarn wrapped whip is very nice. I am hard on such items so mine is no longer too much to look at.

The Pet braided is a plain whip with a different kind of covering. Both the pet braided and yarn covered are fixed lengths. I also asked @funkyjunky about more options regarding length. I found the Yarn covered whip to be too short for my preferences.

The vape ships from Switzerland. Battery life is very variable. The type of battery is first variable. How you use the vape is another variable.

Get yourself at least 2 batteries and more may be better.

Thx a lot for the fast reply. Since i got myself an Arizer Air, i go plenty of 18650 2500mAh 20A so that wont be a problem. Switcherland is cool cause i live in Greece, so shipping wont take long. At least not like some banggood craps i bought since December 19, 2017 and the status is still "to be delivered".:rofl::rofl:

Great review to a superb device!
One question after seeing that video: How do I get the tubo logo onto my screen? I downloaded it along with the firmware and tubo software (though my tubo is only recognized by the NFirmwareEditor) but no idea how to get it into the tubo.

the tubo works great for concentrates...you'll need a medium to hold the oil/wax.

for that I prefer unrefined hemp fiber but, you can also use steel mesh or herb sandwiches.
