Hiya, I also have the problem where even at the highest temperature the material isn't getting hot enough. It used to be fine.
I've tried replacing the bulb but it made no difference. Maybe I nudged the sensor accidentally; is it possible to recalibrate at home?
Other than that I'm going to try a Viton o-ring as mentioned by @Ozyzj to get a better seal.
Failing that I'll try and raise the screen. Seen a few options for this, from bread/dough to multiple screens; any new ideas?

I'd love to get it operating well again, it's a quite magical device.

There is also the "recreational herb chamber" which I believe raises the load nearer the heater, IIRC?
Look it up and see anyway, and good luck getting it to work better for you.

Yeah there is that option if other efforts don't work. Got a feeling the sweet spot maybe somewhere inbetween both versions. Thanks man

I saw Ed's interesting bowl mod in the past. Is there a notable increase of performance aside the versatility of wt you can use it with?
I think it's possible to use the bowl w/o the stem?

Perhaps I would give my old Aromed a new try with it if so. It was my first vape even with awesome taste but never satisfying cloud production. But now it's collecting dust and it's just exhibited in my oriental vape salon as an ancient strange looking museal artefact of vape history.

Exactly the same for me. Too much hard work for the extraction. I was getting dizzy from all the inhales!
I'll probably go for Ed's enhancement but it is half the price of an ELEV8R which I also like the idea of.

I've been curious about Ed's adapter since it got released, but I just can't tell how it works. The photos don't show how it works. Anyone know of a video or better images for this product ? I have never had any issues with my Aromed over the last four years but if it could possibly work better then I would be interested.

So here's an update:
@Ed's TnT tells me that there is an upgraded version of his Aromed stem available. It's not on the website yet (though his original version is).
He says , "Yes sir I have an upgraded version much better than the one listed, website is changing so haven't posted it just yet."
:)

Ok, and what does it make "much better than the listed one"? ;)

This happened to my Aromed too. I already knew Frank, as I used to live in Heidelberg, Germany where the company is based, so he agreed to take a look at it for me.

Once recalibrated, my unit once again performed the way it should, giving nice vapor from around 180°C upwards.

I'm not saying this is definitely the issue here, but it is worth asking.

The Aromed was my daily driver for around 14 years, during which time I broke a LOT of the glass pieces. I have since sold it, as I was totally blown away by the performance of the EVO.

Not really, @Ed's TnT, there a lot of modifications were called. Anyhow, we'll see it ;)

BTW I've found the Starlight Kit for Aromed 4.0, a new mod by MyVapeLab who produced the old Aromed mod sold by Ed. But that isn't the new mod you were talking about, Ed? Bad pic btw.

Honestly , unless there is a stem which allows adjustability in the distance from the heat source, I don't see much benefit. The recreational unit which is shorter and closer to the heat will most likely be the solution and improvement most of us are looking for. Unfortunately , my glass pieces have been fused together for years. I've given up trying to separate them since they work fine. If I decide to buy a new stem, I would also have to purchase a new water base. I'm still searching for an ideal spacer to raise the screen. Pizza dough never sounded like a permanent fix...

So, yeah, I just fixed my Aromed low temp problem in case you're interested how.

There is a tiny sensor next to the bulb fitting, beneath the screw-in bulb cover.
This is very easy to accidentally nudge out of position when removing/replacing the bulb cover. I just tried pushing it back away from the bulb and it made the Aromed like new again.
I think the sensor had been moved too near to the bulb accidentally, providing inflated temperature estimates.

So it was likely a calibration issue as we had suspected, thanks for that @sweetherb :)

And oh man how I missed this, its power had been so muted I'd forgotten the magic. Really wonderful.

But what are details of that solution?

1,2 posts later solution of @Aimless Ryan is posted with vid, so far as I @Ed's TnT understood is this base of the new Aromed mod?

Would like ro reactivate my Aromed so much in case of increased performance. Halogene really is such a nice heating source. So I'm already happy with the performance of my Venus Apollo.
But ever disliking the swan-neck solution. Such a hassle with it in the og setup. "Fortunately" I broke one of my bowl's stem and shortened it to the tapper. Much better use with "regular" bubblers
