I haven't heard of any being shipped since they said they were shipping. I'm #400 ish on the list to get one so if they were to start sending, people should be reviewing them now. It's too bad that they dont come onto this forum themselves and let us know what's happening.

AS 2017 COMES TO A CLOSE...
December 28, 2017

Happy Holidays to all our friends and loyal supporters. We hope 2017 was an amazing year for you all.

For many, including us here at Loto Labs, it’s been a rollercoaster ride, full of surprises and changes. We had to keep many of you waiting while we worked out a number of time-consuming issues in manufacturing, and we’re very sorry it’s taken so long. While nothing would have been nicer for us as a company than to have had the Lux ready the holidays, things just weren’t there yet.

Fortunately, we’ve tackled all manufacturing issues. The Lux’s mechanical redesign was well-worth it. The mouthpiece is vastly improved, as is the magnetic fitment. After tweaks to the metal body design, which were finalized and approved in early December, hundreds of units have now being poured and casted, in prep to arrive at their new homes in a few weeks.

Thankfully, we can end this year with the certainty of knowing the Loto Lux is mass manufacturable, and with a number of happy customers and supporters having already received their special units as we lead up to mass shipping.

Despite all the obstacles and headaches, the year is ending on a high note for our team. We’re humbled by the experiences of the past few months, but take solace in knowing that hundreds of customers, fans, and supporters will be starting 2018 with the incomparable Loto Lux in their arsenals.

We will have an epic update ready for you at the end of January. It’s all coming together…

For now, please enjoy your holiday and New Year’s celebrations, wherever you are. And, please be safe. We’ll be seeing you in 2018.

Peace, Love, and Vaping,

Loto Labs

So: All this time and all that money. And what they have learned is that they could make the thing.

Did I understood well, they are ready to ship hundreds(?) units in a few days....?
why nobody get an email of shipping address confirmation ....
and why there is still no review since they was supposed to ship some units to reviewers/retailers, I remenber somebody mentioned that @VapeFiend.com got one for testing/review (idk if that"s true) ....

It would be nice if some retailers come here to post if they have more informations cause I think some like Vapornation and others I don't remember invested money in this vaporizer since it was listed for a while in their store...

Just got this in my e-mail. Could it actually be happening? :ninja:

"Awesome news: Your Loto Lux is ready to ship!

That’s right. The special day is here—we’re officially, truly, actually SHIPPING! It’s been three and a half years since we concluded our crowdfunding campaign, and began developing the world’s first ever induction vaporizer. T'was a simpler time back then. "Breaking Bad" won another Emmy, CVS stopped selling cigarettes, and Taylor Swift released “Shake it Off," invading our ears and hearts with an ironically unshakeable mind virus. Little did we know Loto Labs would face a series of third-party engineering mishaps, bad-faith business dealings, funding crises, redesign delays, shipping-then-not-shipping, etc. etc. etc. But, despite it all, and against all the odds, we made it. And it’s awesome. We can’t thank you enough for sticking by us through it all.

Ok, enough with the mushy stuff. Let’s get through a few key points so we can get your Lux to you pronto:

1. We need to confirm your address before shipping: You are one of the first (of several hundred) early IndieGogo supporters due to receive a unit over the next few weeks. And, your reading this email means you will be getting your Loto Lux within just days. So, you're even more extra super special. We just need you to verify your shipping address first through Indiegogo. Here's how:

Step 1: Log in to your account on www.indiegogo.com
Step 2: Select your name in the top right, then Contributions
Step 3: Go to View Order Details
Step 4: Select Edit Shipping Address
Step 5: Confirm that you’ve checked your email here

After you've clicked “Submit,” you can proceed to relax, knowing the world’s first and only induction vaporizer will soon be in your hands and blowing thy mind.

2. Loto Lux will debut as a concentrate-only vaporizer: After much deliberation and research, we decided to introduce the Lux as a concentrate-only vaporizer, as opposed to an All-in-One vape. This means Dry Herb and E-liquid will not be supported for new customers. Our rationale is simple: Loto Lux’s current performance with concentrates is most outstanding, unbeatable, and undeniable, and it makes good sense to lead with our best foot forward. Plus, we’re excited to support the booming growth of concentrates by providing the best way to use them. Capsules and support for other materials may or may not be added over the course of the year depending on how things develop, but we want to be clear at this (new) onset: concentrates is where the Lux is meant to shine and where we are directing our focus as a company. What does this mean for you? Well, because you indicated your preference for concentrates in early support, not much, except that you will be getting three concentrates capsules instead of one. So, that’s pretty cool.

3. You're getting a free battery charger: More winning! Because you believed in us and stood by us through thick and thin, we're thrilled to be sending you a free battery charger with your unit! All future purchases of the Loto Lux will not come with a battery charger—they need to be sold separately. We may never be able to fully demonstrate just how much we appreciate you and your support, but hopefully this is an okay start.

Okay, that’s all we got. We are so happy this day is finally here and to even be sending this email. Your early support of our company has meant the world to us and we hope you absolutely love your Loto Lux. If you do, please do not hesitate to refer a friend or family member, and we’ll give them a special 15% discount off their purchase if made within the next 60 days. Just use coupon code: GLORIAESTEFAN. This coupon code is just for your friends and family, because if they’re okay with you, then they’re A-okay with us. *wink*

Peace, Love, and SHIPPING!"

The new units will at least come with charging cords or some charging option, no? "We really appreciate your support so we're going to include tires with the car. All future car purchases will not come with tires."
I remember being interested in this one way back when it was a flower unit and had a different form factor.
Good luck and congratulations on the unit @t-dub . Hope it's a winner, and like many of us, I'm looking forward to your review of the ever-illusive Evoke.

Be honest t-dub: do you feel extra super special?
No, I don't, however I feel good that they are actually shipping something, I just hope it works. When I logged into indiegogo I found out another campaign I donated to at about the same time has finally thrown in the towel and said they will be delivering nothing . . . :(

Wow, I have no dog in this fight but do drop in from time to time to catch on this continuing saga...its so bad and awful its actually been interesting...kind of like watching a slow mo car crash.

'trates only now. It has always been my position that boiling off volitile concentrates really isn't much of a tech challenge (we used to do it WAY back in the day with hot butter knives and a drinking straw) but properly vaping flower indeed is so. So they spent three years making a concentrate pen...a big FAT concentrate pen?

It is fascinating to watch this ongoing story.....in a sick sort of way

Induction. The difference with this vape tech is supposed to be induction, which is supposed to heat up really fast.

It does sound like there might possibly maybe but not very likely be dry herb "support" at some point in time in the future if that helps any.

I agree with t-dub though, its crazy this amounted to anything, they never had anything more than a concept when their indiegogo launched; they never had a working model.

their demo videos just showed how induction works, and showed in theory how it could hit controlled temps for e-liquid and herb. Whats odd is that they never started with a desktop model. Never build a mod or cart for e-cigs either. Their videos contained nothing more than science experiments, and what was shown was in a much more desktop than portable environment.

IMO they tried to build it a portable vape out of a desktop concept and bit off way more than they could chew in doing so. Not only did they have to now make that convection coil technology into a vape, but they had to make it draw so little power that a battery could last in there, and invent and shrink a control board that ran bluetooth and set desired temps.

Is there even a Bluetooth app anymore? That was actually a bold move at the time. 2013! I remember other vapes didnt have it, and the thought of it was actually ridiculous. But it was so ridiculous because of the aforementioned fortitude to create an portable induction vape that did e-liquid, herb and concentrates. They were also going to be the ones to introduction bluetooth too? yeah right.

I'm actually thinking this is an analog vape now. Like a big mod, with one 18650 battery, locked to one temp, with maybe a boost mode. No indication of any app in sight for this thing on the website.
