Ive been using my glass bowl a bit differently ( and also shamelessly with a titanium screen, it was closer to me then my stash of hemp fibre at the time ) the bowl I have is just slightly larger then the sleeve of the SH so I cant fit it overtop (inverted style or regular). But the sleeve of the adjusta bowl fits right in, nice and snug.

That is the bowl I use, just get a bigger screen and form it into a cup/cone.....and use that! Did you try the glass bowl only with the screen?

Bowl buddies! :rockon: So far I've only tried it with the screen. The screen seated well after a few loads were ran through, but I combusted with it last night and had to clean. Fetching some hemp fibre now! or maybe i'll try some coarse grind and no screen first.

I think this glass bowl thing is so kick-ass, glad Steven was so willing to jump on this request so quickly. I see this as the best solution going forward, rather than an official NV glass bowl really. Several members have confirmed that @NewVape420 is 100% correct in his assessment of weight, glass and danger. So this way NewVape has zero liability when the glass breaks and shit goes flying. You guys are adults, on paper anyway, so you take the responsibility for the mod and (in theory) pay attention. You got a steady supply of replacement and Steven has a steady supply of bowl sales! Win-win-win! And NewVape can focus on their next big thing, after all they work in metal. Heavy Metal. :rockon: There's no real incentive to be glass middle-men, I mean the margins are lean. So let them do like they do and keep making cool precision-milled vape gear?! I dunno, just my thoughts.

I also think it might be really helpful if one of you macho men pulled out your callipers and documented the diameter of the pertinent bits for all to see. For those that maybe haven't bought callipers yet...:rolleyes: God I want to join this party of experimental madness! Y'all make it seem like a blast. This thread is going to need a Best-of before long, lol! Y'all have got to get @Chicken #420's :2c: and I wish @steama will say something about the shape too. He's got too much knowledge to remain silent, dang it. Unless I missed it, because I'm high. On cannabis & life. Mainly cannabis though. :nod:

What about the ID?

I am guessing the guys using glass bowls are sliding the coil nut over the bowl? I have been putting off buying in to the FP for quite awhile now which seems to have paid off since the WA has come out. Now if I dont need a bowl and can use a glass bowl I already have laying around, I could get on the FP WA D-Nail SiC wagon for only $80 before coupon or sale...I will probably still wait for a sale but this would be good to know.

Using it upside-down and all that with random bowls seems cool but I see no reason to stray from my current setup/usage pattern. However, a plug-n-play glass bowl I am definitely interested in...

The one I and @LabPong use the SH covers really nice. There is no need to use the SH upside down with the glass bowl I use but it's possible and does add a nice twist to the ritual.

I've gone back to using it right side up and fill the bowl a little more than half way for a full extraction one hitter.

Time to get a bowl man! :evil:

Just the glass screen. A particle here and there doesn't bother me.

EDIT: Speaking of particles, ever since I got the FP I've kept the reclaim from the rigs from the ISO cleaning. After a few months I've built up a nice little stash of reclaim dabs. I've been dabbing the past couple nights and it's pretty potent. Taste is a bit meh though.

I'll go ahead and "weigh in" on the whole glass bowl thing.
I rarely touch my Titanium bowls any more, I just find glass so much tastier! :)

I do not use metal or glass screens. I tell everyone who will listen that DEGUMMED HEMP FIBER makes the best screen in the world, bar NONE. Period. End of story... no need to look further. I press a little "mat" of hemp fiber by hand, and place it over the bowl hole or star screen, keeps the herb from falling through and tastes... well... like the herb you are vaping. :)

I personally like the tall cylinderical "pinched" bowls with star screen and the two little glass ears... they are the perfect diameter for the FlowerPot, they have the internal section below the bowl that you can tuck a little wad of hemp fiber in for a particle trap, and they are widely available and cheap. Perfect size for small nug roasting, or "milli-doses" (10-20mG) full extraction 777 hits. The two little glass "ears" can get in the way and keep the ShowerHead from fully "seating" if they are made too high on the bowl, but I just chop mine off with a Dremel tool, seperation disk, and propane torch (to smooth and clean up) afterwards.

So all you old-timers (not age-related!) with every kind of NV bowl and experience with tweaking/hacking the FP+SH every which way, here's my most humble question:
If today, a complete stranger with only access to flowers came up and asked your opinion on which NV bowls to buy, how would you answer?
A) the NV 14/18 female bowl & 6 Steven's glassies
B) Pan OR Shovel & 6 Steven's glassies
C) WA w/SiC* & 6 Steven's glassies
D) Other (please explain)

*included bc some members prefer it to SH, prefer the restriction. And that might be me?

WITHOUT A DOUBT, I would personally recommend D... Other.

Having tried every bowl that NV sells except the Shovel-Head, I can say without doubt that the thing to do is buy a ShowerHead, and whatever Titanium NewVape male or female bowl fits your glass piece. I would then hunt down a few workable Glass slides at local head shops or Ebay, along with some degummed hemp fiber, and happily ignore and neglect the Ti bowl until all the glass ones break.

I do not personally care for the higher draw restriction of the SiC WrapAround head, as I don't dab much concentrate any more. Too busy dabbing flowers with the ShowerHead these days! :D

You wanted honesty... there it is. :)

I'd take them all A, B, C & D. Glass is nice , i'm always game for a glass bowl for that pure flavor experience. I also like my Ti versions for travel or group settings as i know myself or someone will break a glass bowl . I have not tried my Fp yet with a good fitting glass bowl only a poor substitute i had around. By the way the Pan & Shovel are the same just have a different look. I think the perfect glass bowl for me would be large enough so i can watch my flowers roasting away while hitting it.

@Chicken #420 That's why the fact Stevenlmz79 is making a custom FC-BOWL (whatever dimensions y'all decide) is so freakin exciting for a dude like me. No LHS for me, literally an hour away, and sourcing on ebay is hit or miss, at least when I looked. Knowing that whenever I join this little cult you guys got going, I can get 5 or 6 at-a-time and when I'm down to 2, I can easily & reliably get more? That will be HUGE for me, personally. I'm talking really HUGE, like a really bigly wall. :\

But knowing myself, I will have to try my chosen 18mm NV bowl as well. I'll be re-reading this thread and trying this/that/other thing out before settling down into anything like a routine. Not that I've given any thought or spent time day-dreaming about the FPSH but with all the recent 777 hub-bub along with this glass bowl sensation all the kids are grooving to, that's my first stop. For sure. Then everything else!

@Justpassedu :tup: Thanks for your thoughts! I know it's down to looks, just don't know my choice yet, that's why I used the "OR". I wasn't asking for everyone's input on that, sorry it wasn't more clear. I try, but its just that lately I've been going through this phase and every time I look in a mirror, I look like :freak:.

Variety is the spice of life at the end of the day. I'm sure my Ti bowl will get used still. That's one of the main appeals of this vape IMO. There is so much you can do. There is ZERO reason why you should be forced to have the same ritual day after day. This vape allows you to switch it up constantly. I don't see myself ever getting bored with this vape.

Agree w/everything and it's like getting a new vape again every time i use different glass or get a new piece.
