Discontinued Chewy 2.0 Portable Electric Grinder

I bought one of these bad boys as well...
I must admit I never was a fan of electric grinders, until this one! Really does creep up on ya! Even a friend that came along for a session sometime ago was drawn to it when he saw and tried it.
Most portables I own benefit from that type of grind (main reason why I bought it) and its rather light too, nice pocketability, as other have mentioned.
Where it really shines IME is for travelling when you need discretion and don't have space/opportunity to use flat surfaces, etc, and it's a hassle to deposit ground herb on your hand before loading vape.
Apart from the noise and the fact that it sometimes has a hard time catching herb depending on how you pack it its a very practical grinder. Although the packing issue can be solved by pulling cart back and tamping herb down a bit.
Really looking for the new grind improvements! But it's a shame we can't get them nice carry bags here in Europe, considering the company is based in Eire! So @Splat do all the nice accessories only go to our wealthy American cousins :2c::2c::2c: & we only get the scraps here in the Olde Worlde?

Really happy with my purchase, even with the scraps!

Hi @Mr. Whitewall
We have plenty of the smell proof bags here in our office. You should be able to get them on our web site.

I’m such a slacker...still haven’t cleaned mine once and I’m using it nightly. Working fine, though...

I have had no issues with my Chewy 2. Still works amazingly well. The only"cleaning" my Chewy 2 needed is about 20-30 seconds with a brush to brush out the Chewy 2.

@Splat have the mini Chubes arrived? I am very interested in reviewing a Chube mini.

Well I've countered my first big issue. The cloth holding the trigger seemed to be glued together? Mine has stretched out and now can no longer fully cock back. Is there is simple fix or thing you can send users to fix this issue? Also considering a new material bonding method for the future?

Hi Splat,

I've been using my Chewy daily since mid December with the same battery and no cleaning (not so proud of that part!). And for me it is the perfect grind for the Flowerpot.

You know we are celebrating St Patrick's Day this month and I just wanted to ask you to consider offering a special discount in honor of St. Patrick! I would like to get another Chewy and a couple of smell proof bags.

Thanks for your consideration and wishing you a great St. Patrick's Day!

I keep saying I'm gonna clean this thing, but I still haven't. I'm starting to get bigger chunks through, so I know I'm into high abuse territory! I've probably got a thick glaze on all the blades by now. I don't care, though...I like that it just keeps on trucking. Nightly use in all my vapes for the last four months.

I just wanted to say I love my new chewy 2.0! I just wish there was a thumb nail indentation of sort on the top of the funnel so you could Open it without the grommet. The grind is great for all of my vapes so far too.

Glad you like Chewy and agree. It is definitly somthing we are looking into. My brother siad the same thing to me:doh:

Until Sunday, March 18, 2018.

Thanks Splat! My order has been placed.

Still using my Chewy and still loving it.

One thing I would suggest as a change or just as an option is the block not "locking" in place. I think Id prefer mine to just be spring loaded and I could pull it back, load my material and let go and it would compress the material. I only mention this because if this unit has one Achilles Heel its the trigger mechanism.

But.. if you dont own one of these, you are doing yourself a disservice. The grind isnt too fine and it isnt too course. Its about right for whatever you want to use it for.

A friend has the Atman, but it is not at all a fine grind... but the grind is even.
The Chewy 2 has a finer grind.
It is impossible to compare the two, as you must break up nugs for the mini hummer, but the Chewy 2 does not require that.
The mini hummer is like an everyday grinder, but with a motor on the top half.
The Chewy 2 has herb being forced up against a set of longitudinal blades, that do not "grind" like the atman, but rather they shave your weed.

Guess I'll have to try one myself then!

In anticipation of my 2nd Chewy and 2 smell proof bags arriving soon, I decided to finally clean my original Chewy after 3 months of much use and abuse (don't want to put a dirty Chewy in a clean bag! :ugh:). And I just happened to have some coconut oil to use, as suggested in the original instructions.

Wow, what a difference! I never noticed any kind of a performance issue due to a lack of cleaning, but now my Chewy purrs like a Irish kitten!

Thanks again Splatt for the St. Paddy's special, and for the super fast processing and shipping of my order!
Wishing you all the best on this St. Patrick's Day!
