My thoughts exactly... it's a BEAST! :D

Oh yeah... here is the previously promised "Flower Beast" and glass bowl ShowerHead action shot! :)

Temp at 777, Material 0.007g sprinkled on Degummed Hemp Fiber "Mat" screen, DHF trap in bowl body...
FULL EXSANGUINATION BWAHAHAHAAAA! :D

(I left the thin tale-end of the vapor, for photo. During draw, it completely whitewalls!)

Did you pick the glass bowl up off dhgate as well? If so do you have a link?

Loving my shower head.
@NewVape420 is there a quartz shower head coming out?

Sadly no. There are two ways you could make this, either via 'machineable' quartz(it exists, but for our application we are asking far too much) or form the hot quartz in a mold - which is even more impractical and to pull it off with the precision required for the SH, would require an investment of at least a zillion dollars. Glass is insanely difficult to maintain tolerances on, and we are all about perfect tolerances here.

The Elev8'r (looks to be a killer vape) is a good example of why it would be so difficult to make a SH out of quartz. They are using a torch to heat a mass of glass to heat the air, similar to what a quartz SH could do. The differences between machining metals and blowing/forming glass to replicate that machining precision are just enormous.

EDIT: We've gone the coil route as we feel the torches as a heat source are just too crackhead looking for the general public. On a more personal note about torches, not relevant at all but...I used to work at a vape company on the Front Range, and during one 10am break, we were crowded into my assistant's car hitting the Essential Vape, and when done, the torch was turned off and we went inside. Except, the torch only looked like it was off. There was an invisible microflame that went unnoticed - car caught on fire. I gave up torches that day, only because quality Blazer torches didn't exist then, sadly!

All this high temp talk, I experimented with it last night and this morning. With rosin and flower on my regular WA SiC top.

First I turned to 636 and dabbed rosin for a couple flavorful hits. Then swabbed the top clean, turned the heat up to 770, and prepared and loaded my flower. Added some rosin on top too. Did this for about 4 sessions last night and one session this morning. Different bowl sizes, different draw techniques.

It was pretty cool, instead of what seemed like 5-10 good draws I would take in the mid-600s, here at 770 I could manage it to get one HUGE, thick clouded first hit, then mix the bowl, get one more good hit and it would be done ... so that's a nice alternative because I felt flower took too long before, just kept going and going! Also at this temp I got my first burnt tastes on the FP when I screwed up (leaving the carb cap on and/or drawing really slow it seemed to cook it hot!).

Damn these uptemp dabs are probably the best I've gotten off the showerhead, set the PID to 700F, when it gets to temp, turn the power off, prepare your dab and when it reaches about 600 or so, turn the power on, apply your dab, and cap. Gets you those low temp flavors but actually gets you a rip too so you're not mopping up all the decarbed THC.

I might try starting even lower like 550-575 next and see how that goes. Good luck, pioneers!

How do you know it's at 600 if you turned the PID off once it got to 700?

740F is where I’ve been for over a month now, at this temp I can one hit extract to a nice dark brown, or I can throw the cap on top and get it black with a bit thicker vapor as well. No combustion events yet either way.

Convection Dabs on top of some nug, along with the cap, blow me away at this temp. I much prefer it to directly dabbing on the Ti - wonderful experience!

What’s the difference from doing a 600 deg. dab. And letting it drop from 700 to 600 and then dab. Is it the same properties as torching over the temp and then letting it drop.

You want to hit it at 600, but have the PID set to 700 or higher so it keeps climbing as you dab, this works the opposite of a torched dab as it gets hotter instead of cooling down.

If you have the Newvape controller you can do these uptemp dabs without having to change the temperature between dabs, just use the power button on the front of the PID: set it to 700, turn it off, and when the coil temp drops to 550 or 600 turn it back on, then apply your dab.

The UpTemp Procedure utilizes the consistent heating rates of different materials to gradually and evenly vaporize all compounds contained in your essential oils in order of vaporization point leaving no residual oil behind to be wasted.

Dumb question. But I have a Showerhead and am loving it but a while ago I read that someone tried to just dab alone with no weed in the bowl. And it sparked up in flames. I could be remembering it wrong but I think it said that. Just want to make sure that won’t happen for some reason. Now that I’m writing this I realize this is even more dumb.

If your dab busts into flame you have really shitty wax or your controller is set to max temp and even then idk.

Sparked up in flames, like shot flames up? I've dabbed as high as 720F off the SH using dispensary wax or home pressed rosin and it always behaves as I would expect, it just melts and starts putting out a shit ton of vapor.

I honestly have no clue what I was thinking. I also think I remember someone saying the only combusted because of a dirty screen in the bowl. But I’m dabbing on cbd Isolate so I feel like it is even less of a chance of it blowing up.

With CBD isolate it is so pure you would literally need to have your nail so hot that it ignites the oil. I don't believe our enail controllers have that much power. You're safe
