Almost there...
I am going to buy a new bubbler as I posted before...
my choice is the bubbler from herborizer...

https://verdampftnochmal.de/products/en/Herborizer-Body-Bubbler_1

there are two options of this bubbler one is slightly taller (5cm (2 inches))
should I get the taller one or the smaller and why?

I would go with the taller one!
The Showerhead will be able to milk it up nicely!
I have the RooR version and it is 5 cm taller than the Herbo one and it is my favorite WT!

Also discovered a new to me technique! It has been discussed numerous times but i have never tried it...
Temp up to 650F.
Break off 2 small bits of herb, enough to fit nicely in an EQ basket and compress a bit.
First inhale is lighter and FULL flavored!! Amazing profiles!
I then mix up the chunks to expose the undersides and have another crazy flavor hit.
Then empty into my palm and crumble and reload.
3rd hit is where the milk is at as well as pretty great flavor, especially for a 3rd hit!
A stir and one more small hit and the result is perfect ABV!

Going to be sticking to this for a while! It is such a great experience!!

@Shooby,

Good for you! I've done the same thing, and discovered almost identical factors. Glass bowls are AWESOME for high-temp microdosing, as you stated... and I prefer the flavor ALWAYS over the stock Titanium bowl options. One thing though... I've found that using a small folded and pressed Degummed Hemp Fiber "screen" made by hand works FAR better than any glass screen option I've tried... it does not clog as fast, allows better vapor flow, and is easier to dump ABV with. I just empty the bowl, retrieve and shake off little hemp fiber mat, and put it back in the bowl. When roasting full nuggets, I usually go screenless... over a glass star bowl or single-small-center-hole bowl.

I have also found a few glass bowls with correct diameters locally and with internet pipe purchases, and I have not yet broken any of my bowls. I tend to handle them carefully and set the FP down gently onto them, knowing these bowls are (at least for now) a scarce resource.

The only reason the two bowl's handle broke was because the glass bowl stuck on the flowerpot and lifted out the rig and then dropped on glass. it did that twice and only twice and both times it wasnt at my place.

I found only one glass bowl w/o a glass screen that fit nicely below the FP but the bowl was a funnel shape and extremely small, i didnt even bother with it. Maybe if i get some degummed hemp fiber, i may get that bowl and give it a try.

I do have a questions about the degummed hemp fiber, what temps can they stand up to? Being its a fiber and we are using these enails at 700+ F, I would think they would just catch on fire or roast a bit.

Any updates from @NewVape420 or @NewVape710 regarding the glass bowl? I see some people have found other bowls that work but I'm looking for a permanent solution. Been holding off on buying the kit waiting for it.

Also have anyone else made progress on any inserts for the showerhead?

I went with a larger can for my Flowerpot rig. Actually the largest i can find which was the SOL sherlock holmes. Why? because it holds more vape for the killer rips.

@Shooby,

Degummed Hemp Fiber will over time brown, brittle, and eventually lose its integrity and disintegrate, but when fresh it handles any temp I've ever thrown at it without combustion or failure for multiple bowls... highest I've taken it is 808.

I do 777 hits all the time over DHF filters... I get at least 10 microdose bowl reloads before I start examining my DHF screens for weakness with the idea of replacing. The thinner I make the little screen mat, the quicker it needs replacement.

BTW, I am another true believer in larger pipe volume for SH use... my favorites have always been 20" tall tubes, or my big 5" diameter tabletop sphere rig that seems to hold almost as much vapor as a 20" tube! :D

For "mere mortal" desktop rigs, I'm really digging 75mm diameter fat cans these days.

New experimental results on glass bowls with ShowerHead! :)

I have managed to increase the number of commercially available glass bowls that will work with the ShowerHead, through a simple expedient:

Turn the ShowerHead upside down, placing the TOP of the ShowerHead over the rim of the glass bowl, and pull air through it in reverse. You need a bowl that is close to the top holed section diameter, but it does not need to be as exact a fit as it would need to be if you're using the bottom (normal) side of the SH.

I have several glass bowls that are the incorrect diameter for the proper end of the ShowerHead, but when flipped upside down and applied correctly to the bowl edge to seal it flat and avoid leakage, the ShowerHead works with them just fine. Make sure all the SH holes are inside the bowl rim, and top of SH is FLAT over the bowl rim to avoid unneeded air leaks! :)

i'm betting some of you already have a glass bowl that will work with the ShowerHead, and you didn't even know it! Happy budget all-glass SH vaping, folks! :D

@Chicken #420 mahalo for the info on the glass carb. Never thought of that.

Spent last two weeks searching LHS and finally last night came across a glass carb that worked under the shower head. It is some kind of cheap DHgate one so no way to share info on who made it. LHS couldn’t tell me how they even got it.

Anyway it is a 18mm carb with two black marbles on the sides to act as handles. ShowerHead fits nicely on top and can’t wiggle off. It also has a full glass screen in it.

Came home and tried her out at 777. Glass carb, showerhead, Presidential OG, and a Grav sidecar bubbler. Results were:

Then tried 707.
And same thing. This time took SH off in between draws and slowed down. Still:
tUXckvy.gif

Tried 607
And worked better but still has to baby sit it by taking off SH and checking between draws.

Seems glass carb places bowl to close to SH thus causing combustion.

Loaned out SH today so testing on pause. Back to GS til next weekend.

I’m running the WA right now. I originally thought I needed to run the WA about 100 (730)deg higher then I was the SH(630). However I was totally mistaken. I can now run the SiC WA right around 650 which means Twax hits are a delight. Super tasty and never ending smooth clean tasting vapor.

Then I see some of you all doing high temp flower extractions so I say fuck it. And turn my controller to 900 and take a unreal hit. These high temp hits can make you rethink the entire concentrate thing. At least at home anyway. I can’t believe just how versatile this vaporizer is.
Also I can’t believe how well evenly everything gets extracted with both WA and the SH.

IMO these high temp flower hits are quite a bit stronger than extracts. I was dabbing some greasy rosin yesterday dipped in 99.9% THC-A isolate at my buddies and couldn't wait to go home and rip some flower through my Showerhead.

I don’t doubt that at all. I like to really fill my bowl when I do these high temp hits. And the sheer volume of vapor is totally mind blowing. Thick vapor. To be perfectly honest I didn’t think it would be possible to get a convection style vaporizer to have this dense of vapor. Even the lower hits have way more vapor then I’m used to seeing with a convection vaporizer through glass.

Im like you @HD Springer as i like to pack the shit out of my bowls but i dont press down any more. The amount of vape you get is unreal and overwhelming with a full packed bowl at these high temps. Even in the smaller glass bowls, ill pack them full even though the sides of the bowl stay green. I stopped stirring the bowl afterwards as it just doesnt taste as good. I know im being wasteful but i do save the ABV for edibles. So im not being completely wasteful.

Hi,
I’m coming from reddit because I do not find much info on the flowerpot there. I have been reading a lot on here for a while and have finally decided to make an account after constantly waiting all weekend for my order status to change.

I purchased the Flowerpot Showerhead kit with some extra ss screen. And a double weave as well. I am coming from a couple different vapes. I started with a dynavap M and went to a SBJ. Loved both. Ended up trading them for a mystic vape newest gen. Hated it. Traded that for a E-Nano/Orbiter combo which I loved. Treated myself to a solo2 as a Christmas gift. Ended up selling both to get the Showerhead kit. I hope I’m headed in the right direction. Any tips for when I get it will be great.
Thank you

@Ryanraptor2011 Well you found this place and the FP so I'd say you're headed in the right direction.

Set the device to between 550-750F and see where you like it. Carb cap is neat at lower temps and also at high temps *once* you learn how this vape performs for you. Try different glass pieces. Try smaller loads and larger loads. The list goes on and on.

JJ420

chillin on the couch, sippin off a 22 ounce.
Daily update (for science... of course):

smaller than usual load size ~ I'd say around 20% full

662 on the display, no cap used

Think I found my new sweet spot! Gives me just enough for a second pull after stirring with no nastiness for the second one. 700+ and it's one and done I've found, which isn't bad though I think this temp strikes a nice balance.

Hmm ive been using the OGFP center post and coil nut as a cap/finger carb on the Shower head and i feel liike i have better control of the air flow.

Yeah I use the cap at temps below 600. I slightly hover the cap, like say 2mm above the showerhead, just enough to restrict the airflow. I hold it like that for about four seconds, then I lift the cap off and pull a little harder all the way until the end.

No cap at low temps (like 550 in my case) and it ain't happening too good. You've gotta start manipulating things going low like that.

Still, the roasting has always been 100% even and thorough. Cap or no cap.

I like the form factor of these bubblers! Personaly i would go with the smaller one as i like smaller pieces (i use the honey myself for the FP)

If i am right, these bubblers are the older Herborizer bubblers, there is a new and even smaller one which is also available as a bundle with the Herborizer TI - perhaps you want to have a look at this one also.
I would carefully check which diffuser these have, not so easy to see at the pictures - i have in my mind that these could have less holes than the newer ones...

On another note - tried 777° yesterday, it works, has good fx but the AVB is too dark for my liking. Yesterdays sweetspot was at 685° for me. What a great vape!

I noticed the flower strain will also determine your ABV color. I always have many strains on hand, like 5 or 6 at all times and im way too lazy to grab my controller to change temps so i keep my showerhead at 743F of late. Plus, my pid controllers are hidden under the coffee table. Instead of changing temps, i just buy another controller. But i do notice that each strain's ABV is a different color. I have Banana Fig that i can hit once, stir and cap and do it again and the ABV is just dark brown after three hits.. But the Natural Born Killer and Alien OG, both are nearly black or black after one hit. All at the same temp of 743F. The Alien OG actually combusted 3 times for me last night. It was due to the nugs being older. Basically powder after grinding.

This is the first time combusting since i set my pid controller to these high temps of 743F. I cleaned my SOL rig a lot last night! 5 times.

I can still get greens at those temps, even with a very fine grind. It extracts so fast at higher temps it only takes a few seconds to finish the bowl. The useful temp range of this vape is so wide, even at 500F I find it satisfying.

Using original showerhead only (no glass) I have vaped herb with impunity, without combusting once...... up to 750º.
I can't see going higher, as I finish the bowl in a hit.
I experimented with wax a couple of times, but see no reason to play further with twaxing.
I am happy with vaping weed with this device, and am pleased to use the VB2 and various pens (and DBV wax rig for lower temperature dabs similar to Flower Pot for waxes)
The Flower Pot is one of the best flower consumption devices I have come across.
I will be proud passing my unit to a low income patient in need, along wityh a great bubbler.
I will be receiving another Flower Pot, and I look forward to playing swith it more when it is all set up@! ( I like the PID.Controlller but have placed an add in the classified.)

Welcome , you made a great choice imo. This will hopefully end your want to ever buy a desktop again as it has ended mine & i find myself only really checking out the portable market from time to time as i just love gadgets. I'd say when you actually get the unit in your hands , setup is a breeze , it may look complicated but that can be said for almost any vape and it will all come to you when you sit down with it. Definitely watch a few youtube videos to get affiliated with how it all works . I like to tell people to start at 700F and work there way down in temp , some like a higher temp or lower, different grinds , dryness or wetness of your flower , type of material you are using all play a role in what temp you may like and how to use it but its really as easy as packing a bowl and just hitting it , than you can fine tune to your needs and what you like best. Just be careful not to touch the hot head with your hands and enjoy. Come back if you have any questions at all and best of luck.

@Ryanraptor2011 I have to agree with @Justpassedu . Its the end game for desktop vapes for now. Nearly complete control with this thing. Like recently at high temps with a packed bowl, the FP hits almost harder than any vape device.

I thought i read somewhere on Newvape.com that they recommend you to start low and go up? I agree with @Justpassedu and personally think you should start at like 800F and uncapped and work down in 20F intervals.

Since, i forgot who started this 777F a few weeks back, (Sorry for the lack of love) I havent used my ti showercap much. Prior, i only used the FPs with showercap. Thank you for talking about it over and over to get me to do it. I love it!

I only use this vape for one hitters, but my buddy only hits it filled completely to the top and always gets that. I think his grinder is too coarse for that big of a load.

Dear @Vitolo A common issue with that bowl for sure. I think @Baron23 has cracked this nut best: rather than fighting the heat-expansion, he uses a cloud-buddy type claisen adapter and removes the whole she-bang to dump the bowl. Seems very safe and easy solution, I know there are pictures but can't find one now, of course! Maybe ask him? That is all I've got Sir. The best solutions I have are almost always belong to someone else, I just try to remember them!
@Vitolo - actually, I use the Cloud Buddy with my Enano and gong bow. I found it just put the whole FP up too high for my preference.

I have the same solid, one piece male bowl as you and my sticks all of the time. But I like this bowl best as its a bit more shallow then the Pan/Shovel Head variety.

What I use is just a drop down...plain, cheap, drop down and then use the drop down as a cool handle to empty the bowl. Works a treat and once it cools off the FP always come free without issue.

I like using a drop down in most cases to keep the heat and reclaim off of the water piece.

As far as sourcing a drop down, there are a bunch of places to get them:

https://www.google.com/search?q=18mm+drop+down&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1

Hope this is slightly helpful.
