CD - I know you've said the compound you're using to secure the metal bowl to the glass stems is safe, but this does have me a bit concerned. I'd feel much better about ordering one of these (or probably two) if I knew what it was. I understand your desire to hold onto a trade secret, but the bowl does get very hot. Is there anything else you can tell us about it?

I can understand this, as inhaling a substance's fumes is different than ingesting it.

Clear Dome, you do amazing work. Tried a couple emails but i know you have been all kinds of busy. No problem. But can i get on the waiting list for a couple of glass PD tubes? Also, would love a bubbler when you have completed them.

Time is not an issue. Just would love a confirmation, getting anxious checking your page every few days, and just don't want to miss my chance on these. I can see why so many want them.

Im not at liberty to divulge the compound info,BUT,I CAN SAY that it is guaranteed 100% safe & non-toxic. Its used by other vape companies in MANY different components and Ive personally used it myself for YEARS with no ill-effects.

If CD,would like to give you the name & brand,thats on him....Im just trying to reassure you guys that he did & would NOT use a toxic/unsafe compound to make these stems.

If he is using the compound I believe he is using (from the looks of it) I do not believe that it will be a problem with any health conscious person.
If it is what I think it is, I use the stuff alot and it looks similar to the stuff on the stem, the operating temp of the PD goes no where near its upper limit of the heat constraints of the compound.
However it is Clear Domes choice to let us know what the compound is, I can only make a guess (and will keep that guess to myself).

all i got to say is, Clear Dome is very much into healthy stuff, and would never want to use anything that had any possibility of having something harmful in it.
I think Clear Dome may be more anal in regards to working with healthy materials than some readers here on FC (which is a good thing for those of us who want his Work)

I think instead of asking what compound he is using... should ask what its operating temps are, and if it is food safe/regulated... those are all you really need to know...

Got my stem today. And holy crap this thing is big!!! It does a super nice job of cooling the hit down because of this. I've only had One stem so far though. Bho is just waaaaay mre fun for me right now and I just made a bunch. Ill post more when I know what the hell is goin on

As for the compound , well I dont want to name the brand of the compound I use for the simple reason that I will be copy for sure but I have made my homework and ask the companie before I list and even use the first stem what I was planning to do with it (use it in a vaporizer ) I told them that the compound should be really close to the heat source , they told me that there is absolutly no toxin release by the compound under 600f as there is no solvent use in there compound and they also told me that it can be wash/soak in pure alchool with no problent as this compound can be dissolve once it dry . keep in mind that I have been looking for the ''perfect compound'' for like a yeah now and this is it .

the pd water stem are comming soon like really soon I have a made a video of my pal using one yesterday , I should post it online to

Wow Clear_Dome, that is fuckin' awesome in action. Is there a reason though why your buddy didn't lift off the stem to clear what seems to be a little bit more vapor in the stem? Shipping to Australia took exactly 2 weeks.
I got 1 straight and 1 with a bend 2/3's of the way up the tube.
Packaging was awsome. I laughed when it arrived, i wondered wether i'd ordered a DVD player or something. As mentioned earlier these things are huge!
They feel real solid in the hand and i'm not at all concerned about breakage. I'm really impressed with the quality. The artwork is quite nice. I chose blue for both of them. The small knobs at the mouth piece end stop the straight stem from rolling off the table which is very useful.

As far as usage goes i think it's a whole new experience. The extra internal diameter of the stem appears to make for an easier pull which is often a problem especially when i over grind! The extra length in the tubing means there is no real heat felt on my lips or in my mouth which is also a plus.

The only downside for me is i'm a lttle paranoid about cracking my teeth on the glass. I've already bumped them a few times so i might try a little silicone sleeving round the end.

All in all, these stems are great. The purchasing process was no problems at all. CD kept me updated on what was going on throughout.

Hey CD I tried to email you and send messages to your account through ETSY about 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if you can put me down on the list for a bubbler. I'm also interested in the clear dome piece with the slight bend in it soo you dont have to tilt the PD unit as well. Please let me know what I can do to get one of these pieces. In regards to the compound you use, would it be possible for you to share the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) or it's equivalent for this product? It's(the compounds) contents or make up perhaps? Preferably with information from a verifiable 3rd party source other than the compounds manufacturer.

I ask this as you state that the manufacturer has told you that no toxins can be 'released' below 600f. Does that mean there are toxins and they can be released above 600f? If so, it should probably be stated as so, even if the temps are too low for anything to be released.

I am certainly not trying to put you 'on the spot', but as others have stated this forum's purpose is for information sharing, as to allow us all to make the most informed decisions about the products we use. For this concept to truly work we must apply it to every product discussed or offered on this site.

Just remember folks,this is the resin & hardener in LIQUID FORM! Once mixed together it makes a totally different compound that is ROCK SOLID.

I dont know if you have been following along or not in the other thread CD, but I know that in the past you had stated that you would *not* be producing these stems/bubblers for those who use the MZ/AZ because of the concerns of brass. In the past few days, progress has been made to your initial concerns that initially steered your clear of supporting these users - with this new information (and tests) in hand, do you plan to support the AZ/MZ users now?

I know that I would LOVE one or two of these new glass stems for my Zap.
