The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Hi guys. First Post.
A little late to the party but I finally decided to pull the trigger on my first vape. My budget was around 300 euros. After a comprehensive research online(much of it here on FC),I decided that the nearly 4 year old Mighty is still the best fit for me.
Found a decent deal on the S-B site. 263 euros excluding taxes ( free international shipping to India and 10% discount code)
But got slapped with 50% customs duty, ended up paying 393 euros total!! I have contacted UPS about this charge and asked for the customs receipt so i can dispute the charges with the customs department(?). Not sure whats the best way to go about this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Coming to the Mighty, its all that's advertised and more. I could not be happier with my purchase decision and a big thanks to the FC community for helping me with this. Pretty much everything's been covered here and nothing new for me to add here except the new mighty comes with "20% MORE BATTERY POWER" sticker. YAAY!!

Hey Guys,
So i went ahead and ordered the Storz&Bickel Mighty 2017 model from Amazon which i picked up at an amazing £190 - Valid S&B dealer with new years deal.
(unfortunately now over)

I had been doing alot of research the past few days and came to the obvious conclusion that the Mighty was indeed the only vape i needed.

I got maybe a little over excited..
And went ahead and ordered almost
Every spare part possible for the Mighty and then some extras too!

So i ended up ordering the following:

•Storz-Bickel.com

1x Mighty Wear and Tear Set

1x Filling Set For 40 Dosing Capsules

1x Capsule Caddy

1x Mighty Seal Ring Set

1x Mighty Screen Set

•NamasteVaporizers.co.uk

1x Grizzly Glass 14mm Bubbler
1x Grizzly Glass 14mm Adapter

•Puffitup.com

1x Mighty Vaporizer Stand
1x SLX 2.0 Large Black Grinder

So yea thats quite a nice bundle,im thinking about making a review and unboxing video on monday when i recieve all the items and uploading it to youtube, becaue i kind of would have liked to see more Mighty accessories reviews from people other than sponsered youtubers and the people selling the items themselves.

If you guys think that would be a good idea let me know!

Not me, we tried it at 180ºC because it was the temp in the box image.
What do you mean by your second paragraph? I noticed my CU and even the tranport box for the capsules gets bits of very fine grind, and sometimes when i finish and remove the CU the little net underside the CU gets almost covered by little bits.
Like this:

2nd Pragraph. Put a screen in the capsule to keep find grind in the capsule.

That hologram slider part comes off in seconds with little to no risk of breaking it once you have an understanding of its fitment.
Or if it does become an issue, you could leave it on and use the warm cotton mopping method I outlined without harming the hologram in place.
Or you could simply rub iso wipes around everywhere inside maybe warming it slightly first.

The bowl and a brush method was outlined in the owner manual where you put the disassembled CU parts in a bowl of iso and hit them all with the included brush.

Some people felt this was wasteful of iso and inconvenient and so contained the soaking and agitation inside a jar.
You could even have two jars, one for the initial wash and soaking, and a second one for final rinse. The thinking being that when the first jar becomes laden with oils it can be disposed or processed, and the second jar then used to replace the first, further saving iso as much as possible.
It sounded good to me!

I imagine the hologram might be OK in a dishwasher too, but maybe not.

Once you find your method and do it a few times it's like tying your shoelaces, and can be therapeutic and fun haha
And if it did go horribly wrong it's cheap to replace just the unit on top.

This is true.
The list of improvements needed for Mighty 2 would be a very small list!

Can I just add that I think people should be careful when trying this, make sure you have a spare lying around if you are going to try and remove the slider part.

I have been looking for a way to just let it all soak without that sticker coming off in the ISO, I just read this post, tried to remove mine and it snapped !
Granted I am a bit heavy handed at times but Its definitely not as straight forward as you make it sound. I think im going to just keep soaking half and cleaning the other half with Iso on a cotton bud.

:p

A Quick Question : I replaced the mouthpiece with a clear plastic one from PIU, It works but the fit is bad.The Mighty has been in use about 2 wks now My problem is I can't seem to snap the the original back on. It's new and feels like I'm gonna snap or crack something. I need some roadside help, Anyone ?

I heard the inward customs charges are also a big reason why foreign or high powered vehicles are rare in India?
Mighty recently retailed on SB site for around €350, so maybe you should just look at it as overpaying by, or securing it's safe passage to you for, only €43 extra.
And you can comfort yourself by feeling you have the best portable in your area/country, or at least what only the wealthiest people have!?
Is it worth the trouble to appeal the charges?

I own a pax2, but I've been using my Mighty for over a year because it's better.
I have Pax3 and I'm the same. I'll sell the Pax soon, but if I sold the Mighty I'd either get another Mighty, or a Mighty killer!

I'm terrible sorry, I remember writing that and I really wanted to make a video to explain it, even looked up photos to see if I could add arrows to them.
The reason I was confident to recommend it is that I've removed and fitted mine about 100 times with no problem.
Maybe my fitment tolerances are better for it or my technique suits the design well!
I tried to word it briefly, but I made sure to point out that understanding the assembly well will help. Maybe it's more about how you hold it, or how you move and control your finger movements when it's done.

I'm afraid to tell you force anything now! But there is an easy knack to this, maybe I should make a few videos sometime.
You basically hold the mouthpiece like a shovel, then you sort of dig the front in first, and then seat the rear down after.
That's kinda what I do, but I suck at putting it into words right now!

Also, are you sure the clear PIU mouthpiece is plastic or is it glass?

Thanks for catching that, it is glass not plastic. Let me see if I got it : holding it like a shovel meaning the mouthpiece is in "resting position" with the round part that swivels resting on the hole. Now I should dig the outer front part of the round swivel into the hole, work it , then push down on the part that actually swings out until it snaps it. Yay or Nay ?

I re assemble it in the "open" position, as in when you draw from it, open.
It's a matter of offering the mouthpiece post up to the opening at an attack of about 45 degrees, seating the front raised dimple part first, then wangling the opposite rear dimple in while the front one still remains inside the opening.
You'll be utilizing some flex in the tabs on the way in, but not enough to break them we hope!

Ok, It's the opposite position of what I thought you meant .Thanks for the clarification. The Mighty is downstairs, I'll try the replacement surgery tomorrow night.
" Thanks for your time Blackstone."

Hope I can put a few videos somewhere soon, it's easy when you see this stuff just once. Good luck and enjoy the standard mouthpiece if you can get it safely on again!

The scale included in the filling capsule system is a typical Chinese fabrication scale. This model is quite good. It's not overly miniaturized and feels pretty solid. Big screen, big buttons, absolutely no S&B logo anywhere on it but it's a good scale.
It's better than my 8€ touchscreen trash scale and evem has a transparent lid / cover. I don't know I was still somehow disappointed a little bit :D.
It's so light and does not quiet fit inside the rest of S&Bs typical quality products.

there are disassembly pictures and text in the handbook in the cleaning chapter (10 i believe)
It takes a bit of force (yes some have broken it, but it still works and goes in broken more easy )
i mostly start at an 90 degree angle and turn it back and foward between open position while gently pushing with the thumb on top of MP over the CU opening till it snapps (in ;) not off )

Came to read about grinders; fucked combustion
Anyone who has used the filling set, does the plunger make it easier to remove lids from capsules?

I just learned of the filling set a day or two ago. That thing looks so awesome. The huge S&B grinder... drool.

Think I may actually have the funds to secure one of those fantastic inventions.

I have the set and already used it 3 times :)
You will not be able to remove the lids with the plunger but it does help a lot with closing the caps ;).
~50 caps always take about 30 minutes (including the grinding process), at least if you are planning to put about .3 in every single one like I do, for which reason I have to use my grinder mostly 3 or 4 times. And yeah the giant grinder is really cool and grinds the herbs pretty fine.

works astonishing good, u can throw complete large buds into it and longer/larger stems are 'sorted' out automatical and get stuck between the cylinder and wanding . Actually it is still used from time to time, lives in a band room now...
Not recommended for micro dosers :2c:

no, don't think it would withstand that - it's called:
Rotary Drum Grater
but there are better ones out of metall that can do all with various drums
(damn, now i'm looking for one ).
The really nice thing is the leaver-suction on the base that secures it on the table really good - would be pretty nice for low dexterity ppl, place the dosing tray below it and just push the top and crank trough the material

The Filling Tool is a great ritual kind of thing & fun to use. But nothing is better than the dosing caps ,after minimal usage you develop a touch or technique in covering and removing the lids, all you'll need is 2 fingers & 1 fingernail. You will never regret using the capsules and how about a sqeaky clean bowl after every use ?
