Thanks for the Glass stem link. Let me try to repay the favor.

SV3 Battery change
Good stuff, thanks man. Mine was just in there tight. I loosened it up a little, then squeezed and pulled again. I will pick up a spare battery so I’ll have one ready. Just like having an extra can of propane.

Well, well....scored a V3 from the classifieds today.....can't wait to give it a shot. Torches ready, butane stocked.
Congrats on the purchase! This vape is smoothly powerful. Make sure to try with and without water filtration. The difference is amazing, I like to go back and forth. :leaf:

The SV3 was my wholetime fellow from Xmas to NYE. Unfortunately I broke my j-hook.
I love it's performance very much but still have probs with the taste. All the time it has a metallic/mineralic off-taste I don't like. Perhaps bc I've cleaned the whole setup with PBW first with a lot of rinses but maybe some remains in the heating block?
And it's a one-hitter IMO. There is a big decrease flavourwise up from the 2nd draw. But never going higher than 170°C (pre-heated w/o bowl)

That would be my guess..

Are you grinding? If you aren't, you're probably not hitting it fast enough so more conduction is taking place? Then again, I can only tolerate rosin with the j-hook.... flowers are still too harsh for me without water filtration as silky smooth as the sv3 is...so perhaps you are more sensitive to the flavours than I am with water (slightly masking tastes)

But I do completely agree, it's a one hitter indeed!

Using small nugs and break them apart after the first draw for saving flavour. But existing conduction is a reason for decrease of flavour for sure.
It surprisingly tastes good and smooth with the j-hook. Nearly better than with a wt IMO. More detailed flavourwise but so with pronounced off-flavours too.

BTW I got some round leather ribbons. Will make a nice handle in a paracord style for the f****** sharp edged Supreme handle with. Smaller leather ribbons to pimp my FP parts too.

PBW is a powerful cleaner. I'd almost guarantee this is why your getting an odd taste.

For any newbies, this vape is pretty maintenance free. No need to really clean anything before use, and I've never felt the need to clean the heat exchanger...ever. And I'm OCD af!

Hey guys I picked one of these up secondhand but just went to use it and realized I had no screen piece, I think I threw it out by accident

What can I do to use it, or is it possible to order a new screen part? It doesn't look like I can order on the Supreme website.

I keep hearing how strong this thing is and I'm pumped to try it.

TYVM!

@VCBud I saw a picture you posted & I think you have the @mestizo Ti WPA (not the stock stem). @duff !

If you need a stock stem, you can contact Ed here
http://www.supremev.com/about-us.html

Some of us here use Vapolution 2.0 large glass stems w/ our Supremes. They're out of stock & kinda rare now though.

Some of us also like to use small Underdog screens instead of the stock screen, which helps use ground bud more easily & more efficiently (the Supreme is designed for nugs but can be used w/ ground bud).

Hell, some of us even use a Vapocane 14mm M-F adapter & screens & use the Supreme full on heat outside the load convection style. Add a concentrate pad to the adapter & your doing Supreme double deckers. @biohacker & @JCat have been experimenting w/ cotton/hemp fiber dabs to great success as well. This vape can be versatile if you want it to be. Or, you can just grip it & rip the motherfuker!

And it absolutely rips at low temps! Big cloudz & super tasty w/ nugz.
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/supreme-vaporizer.317/page-163#post-1199336

One area this vape doesn't excel in is temp stabilization. A lot of us around here are waiting for an Electric Supreme which should fix this problem.

Have fun...and if you want to get seriously fucked up...pack the stem w/ airflow in mind and...

...nug plug, super fine grind (or kief), big chunk of concentrate of top of that w/ a nug plug on top (so the concentrate doesn't go splattering up in the heating block). Insert the stem & heat up from room temperature to the high 300°F's. Tell me if that doesn't put you on your ass! CONCENTRATE SANDWICHES IN THE SUPREME ARE THE ABSOLUTE SHIT!!! MORE than hangs w/ my FP ShowerHead in the potency department!

Good luck!

@Morty

Thank you!!

Very helpful tips and much appreciated.

I did pick up an Underdog also a few months ago so that's perfect, I'll use a screen from that one.

Putting an un-ground nug in did the job without a screen!

And now I see what you're all saying, the potency is bonkers, I can count the number of vapes that hit me this hard on one hand.

The time it takes to heat up with the torch is the only bummer, but the performance is certainly on point.

I did a kief sandwich too, insane, except I had to tap out after two of those :rip:

Thanks again Morty, and thanks @duff for selling me your baby!

Hey Bud, welcome to the cult bro! But I have to wonder, i'd really love to know what other vapes hit you as hard.... I mean I have a feeling of a couple on that list, but i'm just wondering in case I haven't tried some of them. I'm quite confident that none of those would hit as hard if unground? Wait until you try ground once you rig up a screen... just try shoving a mesh screen in that bowl. I use a S&B brush with the stock bowl but yours is aftermarket and slightly narrower so you'll have to try a pokey tool of some sort. Don't overload so you don't impede airflow too much.... .05-.1g.

Lightweight! ;)

You gotta try a nice rosin dab at 375!

Thanx!

Actually, with unground bud, you're right it's the strongest.

I've been testing the Glass Symphony a lot lately too, and that one leaped into the top tier also in terms of potency, but using ground bud with that one.

FlowerPot and Sublimator are pretty much the other ones at the top of my list, as far as single hardest-hitting units go, but ground bud with those too.

What I noticed with the Supreme, even with just the few hits I took so far, is that I don't feel a lot of the heat in my throat, so I was able to take a really huge, long draw without discomfort.

This vape needs to be expanded upon!

Glad to hear your enjoying the Supreme so far @VCBud! :tup:I think that's one of the things that takes people aback when they use it the 1st few times...just how damn smooth the vapor is. Especially for such a heavy hitter. I think part of it's due to the distance the air is being channeled through the heating element. This is from Ed on the old Supreme website:

"Typical vaporizers channel air through a distance of 2 INCHES through their heating element (using poor heat conductive materials and nothing to agitate the air). Remember that "air" is a perfect insulator and that many trillions of air molecules pass the heating element in a matter of seconds. The Supreme Vaporizer channels air 1.5 FEET through the heating element, not 2 inches. It is designed to be the best possible heat conductor (un-like ceramic or glass).

The heating element is designed to contain massive amounts of heat (that’s why so much fire power is needed to start this vaporizer). These two properties, combined with 89 heat transferring structures (highly heat conductive used to agitate/mix the air) can be found in our heating element. They consistently heat ALL air molecules to the same temperature as the heating element.

Most vaporizers have about 2 square inches of usable heat exchanging surface area to conduct heat onto the herbal chamber (that's nothing). We have 28 square inches of usable surface area inside our patented heating element using all the methods described in the above paragraphs. The heating element efficiency, in regards to surface area, is comparable to the amount of grip a large tire would have on the ground compared to the grip a thin tire would have on the ground (more surface area = more contact = more power exchange)".

http://supremevaporizer.com/HeatingElement.html

Some here enjoy the smoothness so much, we use it straight up w/ a J-hook sometimes. No water conditioning. I like using it w/ a Vapolution 2.0 All-In-Wonder Bowl for even smoother dry high temp hits. Super potent too!

I hope you keep enjoying & getting faded w/ your Supreme! It's certainly not for everyone, but that's what makes it kinda fun too. And lastly, speaking of getting 3 sheets to the wind faded, I saw you added a ShowerHead to your OG 16mm WA. If your ever feel like you need that extra kick...try this. It works quite well!

So happy to hear this, as my GS arrives next week! Respect to your other choices... thanks for chiming back, although I swear I was going to see the Plenty on the list!

Amazing what can happen when you don't grind! And this beast can belt out those clouds at LOW temps to boot.

This vape needs to be expanded upon!

The wheels are in motion! (apparently)

Hey @VCBud ! What took you so long to get a Supreme?

I know!

@biohacker , I see you're selling some V3s, are you getting ready for the enail version or just minimizing how many of these you have at home?

Yep! :brow:

Still can't get over how wicked the concentrate hits are.... now i'm dipping my rosin in CBD isolate crystals and it's just :mmmm:

I got a new case for my S3! Works great - with torch, replacement parts, bowls, J-Hook and JyArz.
Pics will follow.

Any chance of a pic with your sv3 and stuff in it..? can get the exact same one from amazon uk so think I'm going to grab one

Looks great and seems easily big enough. How's the depth of the case compared to the width of the digital temp display on the supreme?? TIA

Hogni

Honi soit qui mal y pense
W/o both sides filled the case can be closed w/o any pressure to the S3. So you have to take care how you fill it. In the region of the temp display I put some smaller parts to the other side. Then there is a little pressure but w/o any dangers when you zip the case.

I've took the pics but can't currentely transfer them to my notebook.

EDIT: I've finally found the right cable. Here we go....

Both sides filled and closed:

PBW doesn’t play nice with aluminum, I wouldn’t use it to clean a SV3. Causes pitting and removes the protective oxidation layer on the metal. A quick google search pulls up many horror stories and reasons not to use PBW specifically with aluminum - stick with alcohol for this vape.

The tight maze that the incoming air must navigate, and the heat retention of aluminum make for
effortless extraction at any reasonable temp.
In comparison, my Errlectric herb nail has a very short almost nonexistent heating area hence
the high temps needed. 600-820F for the herb nail; 300-400f for the Supreme. I only have the celsius readout
on my Supreme which is 150-180c. for my needs.

herb nail is also measuring temp at the coil whereas temp of bowl is very much what you are reading with the supreme
