I think the new version has taken over to some extent. FWIW I like this smaller, less convenient version better........I'm busy enjoying mine and suspect so are many others. Great unit for what it is IMO.

I like step four, that is the second LED on high? Be sure to explore stirring and 'letting it heat soak before the hit' (especially on a partly used load)
BTW, get some wire type pipe cleaners, best thing going for cleaning the tube:

I find the kind with fiber are handy when deposits are tough. Dipping them in ISO helps a lot sometimes. You can also fold them over and scrub stuff that way.

Funny, but I use those same cleaners, OF. Watch out, those little nylon bristles can puncture skin.
I dip half of it in ISO, remove the excess liquid and push from the MP forward towards the bowl. Then a little back and forth. I also use a small SS screen instead of the fragile things that came with the unit. And I rarely take out my Q and it's a pretty darn awesome vaporizer with my DD adapter.
I have noticed the battery seems to be feeling two years old, but still holds a charge....just a little less than when new.
I usually use number five, six or seven.

Yep, don't pinch it..... They need to be tough, they've got a tough job to do.
Best way I know to do it is to bend the last 1/4 inch or so up at maybe 30 or 45 degrees (I put another bend in the far end so I know which way it's pointing. This makes it easy to thread the end up through the hole in the bowl. Then saturate the free end with ISO, grab the tip in the bowl with long nose pliers or a hemostat and pull it through. I let it sit a minute or two to soften anything in the tube then follow up with a dry non fiber one or two to finish.
Great tools for lots of stuff if you have them handy.

This is my .02. Ive been "using" researching, reading, activley buying dry herbal vapes over the last 4 years.
I dont have a post count to brag about.... This little unit, for the price, durability and feature set - Im shocked its not more popular. My local shops rarely know of this handheld.

Anyone with the summit + how long does the battery last from a full charge worst case scenario like running on full temps. And how long does it take to charge full from wall and usb?
Can you use all heat settings from the coldest to the hottest? What is the boost function?
How does the vapor feel on the throat on highest temperature?
And finally can this be used with a water pipe?

How does the Summit Plus perform with small amounts of ground bud, say 0.02-0.04? The one thing Im starting to dislike about electronic dry herb vapes is the total lack of performance if you use less than 0.1.

If you use the screen trick or pack tight and dry I find you can get something at all temps
Vapour at the hottest is not that bad, very doable
If you search the thread someone made a water adapter
Charge seems to be 2 hours maybe less, might be faster in wall, I go from pc

My Vapium Summit+ arrived today. After flicking through the instructions it told me to plug it in for 3 hours to let it charge before use. I plugged it in and straight away it vibrated and flashed blue. It vibrates about once every 2/3 seconds whenever I plug and will not stop. It is not charged enough to use and will not let me adjust temperature or anything on it. If I hold down the go button it turns red then off then turns itself back on two seconds later and keeps vibrating. Surely it’s not supposed to vibrate the whole time it’s charging? I looked through the manual for information but was unable to find anything. I contacted Vapium via email but have not recieved a reply and the website and contact number do not work??? The store I brought it from (AustralianVaporizers) is on Christmas holiday until the 29th. Can someone please help me I have no idea what I’m doing and cannot find any information on this

Bummer. No, that sure shouldn't be happening.
I'm thinking it's because the battery is so discharged (perhaps from long storage?) that the processor can't run properly (can't 'boot up')?
When you power up (normally, 'on battery') you should get a brief flash of one to four lights indicating charge. Do you get that? If not........
I assume you've tried plugging the charger in at that point (without success)?
Returns are such a hassle, there even more so I bet. Before I did I'd try to charge it as best I could. I I could get it to do so without constant buzzing attacks all the better, but failing that I'd still try to let it fo for half an hour or so, then try again. It should still be trying to charge....hopefully.
Good luck with it. Fighting a vape is a poor substitute for enjoying it.

That sucks. Check w/Vapium as to whether or not it's real - the serial is on the bottom. If it is real Vapium is very responsive honoring their warranty. The only vape they have in stock is the Strain Hunter edition looking at the website. I am on the fence as to whether or not I should replace my Gen II with a Plus as it's not as tough as Vapium says it was back in the day. It's been treated fairly well and kept indoors and is on it's third mouthpiece, the lid has been super glued twice, the polycarb around the oven had to be super glued and the rubber loop that holds the lid cord is hanging by a thread.

I just got the vapium summit plus for an awsome boxing day aka black friday deal for 120 canadian. Anyways I like the fact that it fits nicely in your coat pocket. I did try it outside with -20 with the windchill for a long walk.
My concern is the following. The battery is not replacable. I tried emailing support to see if there is an option when the battery goes dry after a few years.
My other problem is the draw compared to my arizer air. I feel I have to put forth more lung effort to take a good draw compared to my arizer. Although I do cough less with the vaipium set on the 3rd highest temperature.
1. Just curious have you guys thought out what you are going to do when the battery looses its pizazz in a couple of years.
2. How to you pack your vapium? I just find my draws require a lot of effort. Maybe I am packing it wrong. Is there any techniques out there. I was thinking of placing a metal screen before packing to allow a bit of airflow as we are drawing from a small hole correct?

It could lie flat enough to cut off most of the tiny holes in the plate. I found bowing it up a bit (bent in my finger tips) so it can't lie flat made the draw easier by a lot.

I really hope they come with a kit to replace the batteries. How long have you had yours before you started to see it loosing its power? And it looks complicated to replace the batteries . From the picture do you need to lift that circuitry first and than the batteries are there? I guess I can go to an electronic store after its starts dying on me and if it cost me more than 50 bucks will not bother replacing.
I dont think vapium will replace the batteries if it is compicated like the picture is showing. I feel they will come up with a replacable battery in their next edition as with most vaporizers unless super cheap come with a replaceable battery option.
Such a shame this is the coolest looking portable vape out there. Not to mention it looks like it can handle all weather. Have not tried it in rain conditions or snow. I have tried it in -20 tempurature and was working well.
Will try to bend the screen a bit. But have you tried putting another third party screen on there to create a thin screen layer. Will try next time I use it.

There are a load of answers back in the thread. I've not used the stock screen since the tab broke off the first two screens. What is still amazing about the Summit is it can work with so little material. I usually only use .05 to .1 and never use a screen on top, just needs stirring from time to time. I use #6 & 7.
My battery is dying too...
OF hasn't taken apart a Plus model like he did his original, so who knows what is in there now.

I would not expect a kit, soldering is required and there's a good chance of amateurs goofing it up. You take out the screws you see and the top board unplugs. IIRC the cell (again, not a battery technically) is soldered to the bottom side. A simple job with modest skills once you have the part (hard, but not impossible to find).
I have two, the OG and the upgraded version. Neither is showing any kind of decay as yet. Since I use my 'Gadget' to stop charging a bit early I expect 600 or more cycles on the original parts.
Like any on demand portable it's a power hog. It has an excellent 'battery meter' but recharges are needed every bowl or two (maybe 3 with the new, larger version).
So, it didn't happen "in their next edition" but I guess another version could happen. The did upgrade the 'battery' capacity a fair bit (large complaint) making it a bit bigger. And added a pick to stir it with and changed the MP enough so the old parts no longer work......
I did experiment with SS mesh screens. I did best with fine, the SS vapor tube inside can foul with ABV if the mesh is too big. I went back to the flat plates with tiny holes after I figured out why it didn't draw well. BTW, that plate can foul quickly if your herb isn't well cured. Be ready to torch it clean (pull it out, hold it by the edge with an old roach clip or something and torch it with a torch type lighter until it glows. Seriously. SS, it'll take it fine and the fouling burns off and the ash can be brushed away. Real pipe cleaners ('fuzzy wire') dipped in ISO does a great job on that tube. Put a small bend in one end, run it up from the MP end and 'fish out' the hole in the bottom of the bowl before pulling it through.
Neat design in many ways, like the magnets that hold the cover on (with lanyard so it can't get lost) are sensed so it knows when the cover is off and will shut down heating after like 20 seconds. It was recommended by Randy at PIU (one of the true Heroes of the trade) to our very own Sinclue for occasional hits walking his dog. He (Sinclue) in turn recommended it to me.......even though I don't have a dog to walk........
I liked my OG enough to buy the upgrade. Although I use the OG more I think.
Lots of great info in these 20 pages. You can skim the lot (and learn a LOT) in a couple of hours?

Look at this video summit plus looks like it has a replacable batter. Watch the middle of the video. But still looks gruesome to replace. But I guess if its after 2 year warrenty Its better to try than throwing in the garbage.
Just surprised that such a small thing could have added more customers to purchase their product because they know its something they can use long term.
