Just got my money back for my $100 no2 from amazon (that unit had the burning rubber smell as soon as I opened the top and sniffed where the material goes).

I will stay away from this vaporizer - unless I get a bunch of money for the 'real' version. It's a bit too expensive for me right now!

Used mine with a bubbler last night. everything went up in vapors.

I have had the Vapir NO2 for a year or so now. As far a portables go, it is my favorite...for the road and around the house. It is kind of like smoking a pipe, just weird shaped. I really like it. Odor when new like everyone complains about, but went away soon after.

Also have the MFLB which I like for when I am in public places. But it burns my lungs and throat after a while. Have a Purple Daze, very conservative and delivers big hits, Still a little harsh/hot for my throat.

Also have the Extreme bag/whip vaporizer and like it a lot. It is the most needy as far as keeping it clean goes. It actually was the first vape I bought several years ago.

Just bought the digital Volcano because I used it at a friends home over the holidays and liked how easy it was to use and how mild the vape was coming out of the bag. Too expensive in my view but no vendors will bargain with you on the price. At least Vapeworld.com throws in a very nice case and some extra bags if you ask them. (They are my regular vendor)

I have to say that I have used the Vapir NO2 more than all the others that I have. I really like it.
Especially when traveling by automobile. Its my fave. I have two of them. Bought another for an extra battery instead of buying an extra battery, just so I have a backup.

I've had the NO2 for two months now and have had no problems. No learning curve, no odor. Just load it and GO......

Well, I got the no2 yesterday. Did everything Vitolo said to do and since then everything has been kind of a blur. And then I fell asleep. Now I'm here on the computer and letting you guys in on what happened.

Lets recollect....

Randy (Puffitup) as great as usual. My no2 came in on time and well packed. Came with a car charger and extra mouth piece and screens as well. Great deal over all for what I paid.

So I unpacked the no2 and read over the instructions carefully. Then I went to charge the no2 and continued with my day. Came home later that evening and me and the wife was ready to try out the new toy.

So I did as Vitolo said and soaked the tube in warm water for a few minutes. While my no2 was charging, the top was off and it was beside the window sills.

So I get everything together and grinded up my herbs then dumped them on a little tray. Turned on the heating thingy on the no2 and set it to 360. Waited about 30 seconds for it to heat up while still plugged in. Opened the top and dumped a cupful of herbs. I already saw a lil stream of vape escaping while I was putting the top back on. Then me and my wife just took turns hitting it. After about two bowls we we're good. There was no odor or anything plasticy at all. Everything tasted just like it was suppose to, weedy vape. =)

We then had a good night hanging out with a few friends and turned in for the night early.

Over all, I think this is one of my favorite vapes. I've only tried a few, and before this I used to love my mflb. I even have the wpa and pa. But I think this is so much more easy and I don't have to worry about accidentally combusting. And it's quite tasty as well.

Just a quick question, how should I go about changing loads? Up to now, I've just been turning the unit off then dumping it out and brushing it with the thingy. Then power it up, let it reach temp and load a new one. Should I keep turning it on and off like this between bowls? Or do I just change bowls while it's still hot?

Sorry if I'm all over the place, no2 was used throughout this post. =)

Let the unit cool, dump herb ....
heat again and reload.
Sorry, but on that there isn't a shortcut...
The unit needs to be heated before weed is loaded.
I have seen many owners dump ABV and reload while hot with success...
I have not tried this technique.. I always follow instructions.... because I am overcautious.

You can leave unit on,remove top,dump abv out and put fresh herb in, no waiting or cooling needed.
And be careful with that brush dont use when hot.it will melt.
I use brush while unit is cold,a quick blow in the no2 after dumping load should be al that's needed to clean while hot.

Thanks for the info guys. Will probably do both ways till I feel comfortable with one method over the other. So I was wondering guys, whats some fun temps? And as for screens, should I be putting them all the way down to the bottom of the chamber or should I let it rest on on the top of the chamber where the screen fits into the recessed part?

And and.. is it normal for my unit to jump or fluctuate between 351 and 360 when I set it to 360? Like, I set it to 360 and it heats up to that. But when I'm looking at it, sometimes it says 351 for awhile then jumps up to 360. And it does this a lot. But only when I set it to 360 does this happen. If I do 375, it says 375 all the time.

i was unable to find a thread for this, and the N02 thread seemed like a reasonable place to mention it. whats the deal with this? its not on the vapir website at all but it looks nicer than all the ones that are

That model was very short lived.
Came out briefly last year-
It is no longer made..... the unit was not a success and Vapir no longer produces it.
The dealer is trying to unload his merchandise!

Just bought a NO2 today

Have used it once already, definitely an upgrade over my magic flight. I LOVE the fact that i dont have to shake, dont have to change batteries, and get evenly vaped herb.

My friend working at a headshop let me open up a box before i bought it, smelt fine. I only noticed the plasticy/machine smell when i dry hit the NO2 before heating it up, and before putting herbs in.

Pretty happy so far, gonna try to make a McDonalds or Big Gulp outer "sheath/skin" to put in it, for extra stealthy vaping

Im still reading through the thread, but real quick (if anyone doesnt remind repeating to help me save some time):

- Whats the deal with charging the battery on its own (without it being in unit), i found a charger that plugs into the battery slot. Is this detrimental or bad? i havent seen this mentioned yet.

- Any tips or techniques that you really love or work well for you?

Have been using the iolite/mflb for 2 years. Got me a new NO2 today after considering TV, Solo. Been getting harsh too warm vape with IO/MFLB. Felt among the choices, the NO2 had the best temp control & least user technique dependency. Thanks Vitolo for influencing my decison.

1. Got it from a authorized headshop for 179.99. Did all the startup procesure per instrauctions on the thread ... warm water soak & open top battery charge etc. before I fired it up. Still a plasticy smell/taste after three sessions.. Hope this will start going down, else may have to invoke warranty? Anything else to try here if this smell/taste persists.

2. Cant figure out the backlight on the display .. backlight came on for a while and as the temp was going up, it just went off so could not see the display numbers in the dark. Can someone please explain how the backlight works, when does it come on/off?

3. Hit the red on/off button twice by mistake while holding the unit. Is there a way to lock temp +/-, heat on/off so they dont change by mistake in the middle of vaping.

The NO2 was my main go to before the omicron. It's still up there. I use the Q at night.

If the back light goes off just hit any temp button and the light will come back on.
goes off to save batty power I guessed.
the temp stays at what you set it. So if you hit the red button or the unit shuts down in 20 minutes just turn it back on and it will go to your last set temp.
if you hold the red button for 2-3 seconds it changes between
faranheight and celsius.

Also, I find myself sometime sucking really fast to get a big hit? I suck as fast as i can, and i can feel the mouthpiece getting hotter, and i exhale a huge cloud. I thought it was supposed to be slower=bigger clouds?

That is if there is a red hot heat source in front of the herb, like an SSV/DBV setup....
the NO2 has herb in a tiny oven... so you draw air through the heated chamber/oven... more air= more flow...
diff system..... Iolite is similar in that respect

i just want to point out again that the NO2 rules really hard and is a completely ideal vape IMO if you treat it right. i clean it out after every time i use it (i'm not going to lie though - i have knowingly reheated many bowls without emptying first, although i can say with confidence that it's much nicer if you wait for it to heat up first and then put in your weed. like it's really worth it.) also i'm a clumsy fool, so i can also say that when i was choosing between an arizer and this... i would have broken the arizer like five times already

since the entire vape is made of plastic, are the plastics made to withstand high temps without off gasing?

and i see there is some sort of o ring in between the bowl and mouthpiece connector, is this rubber or plastic? and is it safe to be exposed to such high temps?

The temps coming out seem very high, the mouthpiece gets very hot during use. I have a feeling this thing is not safe, and that they dont use safe materials for this product.

what is the bowl made of? looks like brass to me. i wonder what quality metals this uses as well? and if the heating element is near any wiring or other stuff inside the unit that we dont want to get hot and inhale?

I was planning on buying this but after seeing your post I've changed my mind until I find out the answers to your questions, can anyone point me in the direction of a health conscious vaporizer? I've recently read a bit on BPA (used in plastics) that's used in a lot of food packaging being real bad in low amounts, inhalation of that stuff would be pretty nasty, plus inhalation of any plastic obviously.

Welcome FC norcal....with that being said please read the forums previous conversations as the parts in the No2 have been discussed. IMO amongst many forum members think the No2 is a great unit. In fact its Vapir product which has been around forever. I enjoy other vapes but the No2 is always a good fail proof easy to use hard hitter each and every time. Vapir had somewhat of a bad rap back in day with some poor designs but they redeemed themselves with the No2.

I think you will find the answers you seek.
The Pain clinic I attend's Doctor recommends the unit highly as being what she feels is safe vapor.
In the event that the words of other vaporists do not alter your concerns, the best advice about this or any product is, if you are concerned enough to doubt the safety of it, just don't use it!
My NO2 is a year old, and gets used daily, and still functions like it did on the first day.
