So today I bought a new PSU for my custom PC...and its faulty fghudgfdsgvfds so gotta waste time going back the store..

I grab my vapcap and realize just how hassle free the thing is and calms me down. Being a techy.. I happen to value a lot more the simplicity and reliability of this beauty.

The parts are modular and meant to be interchangeable. While I have not had an issue with pieces not fitting, I have encountered tight bodies that I remedied by running a rolled up piece of sandpaper through a few times.

I'm sorry to hear that you have a tight stash.

You read correctly. The stashes are meant to accommodate a 14mm VonG. I have three Dynashashes. My VonGs fit perfectly into two of them, the Wenge and Burl. But my Paduak stash was too tight for the VonG that I bought specifically for it. I was devastated initially. George offered to fix it but I ended up doing it myself by slowly passing a 14mm drill bit through it and that removal of a tiny bit of material fixed it. It was very easy to do and I didn't have to mail it back to them.

It was part of my plan once I got comfortable changing out tips. :brow: Plus I have a glass socket that is great for this type of setup. Less fuss and mess and a few other reasons. Some FCers knew I'd have my bean on it beforehand. :science:

2 'M's with back up screens and rings and extras, then Ti's next sale. And finding glass that seems to work.:sherlock: Haven't even got into the area of wood or dynastashes yet. @pxl_jockey you might want to do the math beforehand, if you plan on getting stems and the now justified tips and caps. It may or may not be economical, necessarily.:shrug: You might want to say spend $20 more and get full vaporizer. Which had the stem and the rings to keep it in place. Some buyers ended up shorting themselves in buying from the parts section and not looking at the price equivalent in the make your own VC section. As one example. :bang:

Oh who am I kidding, Your mind is already made up. :D See you at the next sale. :cheers:

The Omni XL is the only XL DV i have (besides the sandblasted M i added a spinning mouthpiece to)..Before that the blackwood omni-vong was my go to.

my first thought when seeing the omni Xl:

i use it everyday. the length is magically better given the small increase...i wish all my DV's were XL's

would sell and upgrade to only XL models..but there is some sentimental value there.

Last night I had the chance to get some very clear crumble and I found some organic cotton at home. It turned out to be a great experience. I had never had the chance to try the crumble (only dark wax) and I liked it better (particularly -but not only- flavour-wise). The cotton allowed me to try the OmniVap XL with only concentrates (no flower) and it was damn great! I don't think I need the DHF at all: cotton is cheaper, easier to get and equally well-working. I did a first bowl with a tiny bit. It was nice (and long-lasting; I usually get 4 -actually, 3 to 5- heat cycles of an herb bowl; whereas I got close to 10 with the crumble). But then I decided to test the full potency of the Omni and re-loaded it with a 4x or 5x more crumble than in the first bowl. I heated it consistently in the lower part of the cap and went a second or so over the second click. Then, I hit it consistently at 60% open or so until I heard the cool-down click. WOW. I couldn't barely breath (my lungs were wide open) and I of course could not keep on with the session for a while. I had to wait for like 30 minutes to calm down and finish the load. That was f***ing insane. I'll be doing that again soon; although I prefer the flower during the day (flavour is better and impairment is lower).

I had the opposite experience, I handled an M for the first time after owning an Omni for one year and it really felt heavy and unrefined.

Back to report that I have successfully restored my VC. I cleaned everything with q tips and iso. The q tips I used fit perfectly through the condenser where most of the muck was. The wood still smelled like smoke so I wiped it with iso q tips. I then washed everything. The smell is now gone. I recently received an M and switched out the used tip for the new tip. The o rings were tricky but I ended up getting it. Here it is:

While I was focused on my VC I started thinking about parts I had that I might be able to use with it. A while back I bought a Bob Marley branded smoking pipe. It has a detachable wooden stem. Just for fun I tried it on for size on the VC tip. It’s a perfect fit. The stem interior has a gasket just like the VC tips and they fit together super snug. The only thing you have to do is drill a carb hole, which I haven’t done so I haven’t actually used this setup. Here’s a pic:

The imprint on the stem is an M for Marley. Just a coincidence it’s also the tip I borrowed from my M VapCap.

Well I got my m starter kit. The m is awesome, I'm gonna do the phat piggies diamond file thing for airflow as I like a bit more than it offers as standard. I'm regretting not getting a fancier wood for the stash tho. The cedar feels pretty cheap and Stinks of cedar (doh!). Also anyone got a good hack for stopping my m rattling around in the stash? I'd contact George and consider swapping t out but I'm in the uk and already got STUNG! On import taxes.

I went with these below in my Dynastash in both the vapcap side and the torch side.
Also read that a piece of foam ear plugs like Hearos work well and easier to find then the quick release hub springs.

Fun and frustrating figuring out this magical device. Fun because clearly there's a learning curve and I'm up for the challenge. Frustrating because now I'm having to actually research butane torches. Pretty disappointed in the two I've used so far - not their function but their reliability. Nothing more frustrating than a lighter that sputters out about 7-10 seconds into the initial heat cycle then just dies for long periods. But then again, maybe $10-15 lighters aren't meant to run for the 10+ seconds 3-4 times in a couple of minutes. Upping my lighter game this week and sticking with a single and dual flame torches.

Buy one of these,you won't be sorry.
It has a nice wide Brushing fire(soft fire) and it won't sputter at all.

The only downside is that it is a little to big to carry around.

I've had an M since July and recently picked up an omni xl during the recent sale. I was hooked on the omni after the first load. Yesterday I decided to try the ti tip on my M and found the results to be underwelming. My expectation was that I would get similar performance from the 'TiM' as long as I used very little carb because I like my omni almost fully closed, but instead of the effortless clouds I get with the omni, all I got was thin vapor and the tip seemed to cool down much quicker. I'm now convinced there is additional magic happening with the omni condensor and the ti tip together and that all future DV purchases will need to be omni's. I'm going to try the 'TiM' with the condensor burried a little deeper in the stem, simulating a more closed omni positioning and see if that produces expected results. Anyone else have this same experience?

@JetHead I got a 2 pack of Vertigo triple flame (triangle pattern) lighters on Amazon in July. They have been super reliable and trouble free if I purge them about every 5 fills or so. I've used singles, doubles, my stove, a plumbing touch, my dab torch, a bic, a candle and probably serveral other heat sources but I continue to go back to these triples. I heat the first time with the vapcap right up the middle of the triangle (perpendicular to the base) and for the remaining heat cycles I turn the vapcap slightly to align with an edge (basically using just two flames).

Early DynaStashes were not drilled out as much as later ones and may not fit newer Vongs. Mine doesn't, but my Nonavong is my home VC so it isn't an issue for me. As long as my Woody, which I bought at the same time, fits in it I'm good.

My VCs by weight:

M 19.55 g
Ti OmniXL 14.49 g
Nonavong 10.35 g
OG 9.63 g
and
Ti Blackwood Woody-S 8.87 g

The M is significantly more that double the weight of the Woody or OG

Is your flame too high? Or perhaps you have an air bubble inline. Troubleshoot here... You might drain them and try to refill them.

Pretty happy with my 2 Scorch Torches off Amazon.

Hello,

I received my M Starter Pack yesterday and I gotta say: DynaVap is the TRUTH.

This thing works wonders. I started as a vape head. I've used the Arizer Solo, original DaVinci, the flashlight looking vape, MFLB, Pax, and now this.

This ranks as great as my MFLB.

I've been combusting the past year. The M reminded me how disgusting smoking is and this little tool was exactly what I needed to quit. I especially like that I no longer need to rely on batteries.


DynaVap, you rock.

Yeah I ordered a couple of these the other day after my last triple disappeared into the ether. I think I may have one of those dimensional doors around here, like that early twilight zone episode. Anyway, those triples in a triangle configuration are my favorite out and about torches for my VCs. And they are reasonable at Amazon...

I have had many fewer torch problems after I started using quality butane and regularly burping my torches. Any air inside will cause instability in the flame so burping it out helps a lot. There are a couple torch specific threads that link to some very good lighter maintenance descriptions on sites. Obviously Cigar aficionados and their sites are the best source of torch knowledge. The link in the post 2 up is a good one.

Sometimes a complete purge and refill is the only way to get the torch to behave, especially if it has bad butane loaded.

Thanks for all the information on this page and the "Best Of.." and now I've found the "Whats your favorite torch..." thread. For such a simple looking vape, this is turning into one helluva an odyssey. I'm hopeful that I'm going to enjoy the ride as much as the destination. Patience is my middle name.

Thanks dude. What do you mean "lighter side"? I don't fancy the foam earplugs, I'll see about the springs. Does it pop out like a dugout? Thad be awesome.

Also this has probably been mentioned before but any hacks for the other side, where you keep your herb in the stash? A silicone/metal/glass insert would be nice eh? Stop your wook getting all smelly.

Big love vm people this vape really is gonna be the most popular portable ever.

I recommended one to a friend in a small village in Portugal and now half the village have them. All trying to quit the baccy and doing well so I hear.

These look like knockoffs of the Zico lighters that I LOVE the feel of. These seem to have an air vent at "the nostril of the trunk", which should make for slightly different behavior.
How are they? Are they as large as the Zicos? I can carry the Zicos in my pocket but they are really more of a table lighter.
