Best Diffusion with the least amount of water?

Hello FC!

In your personal experience or opinion, which perc or which particular piece offers the best diffusion with the least amount of water as possible.

Thanks!

I'm gonna say honeycomb perc. Maybe a single matrix, a stereo matrix is gonna need more water.

I have a few "Tornado" type pipes that have a small inner chamber with Turbine perc at the bottom. Glass-100 on Amazon sells these in several colors, 11" high with ice shelf. Sucking on these produces a miniature water and smoke tornado in the inner chamber, and diffuses the HELL out of anything caught in the maelstrom! These definitely diffuse nicely, with only a half cup of water or so.
Downside is that they require quite a bit more draw strength to get them going... so be sure you have strong lungs if you decide to go this route!

My 2nd and 3rd most "Diffuse-ey" pipes are a GoGo pipes fritted disk "Faded Turbine" bent neck, and a TAG triple netted disk that awes me every time I look at its God-like majesty! :)

Depends on what you are looking for in terms of "best"

total raw diffusion, the Roosters https://roosterapparatus.com i seriously doubt anything else really comes close. They are derived from scientific gas scrubber devices and for many therein lies the problem as they are notorious for flavor robbing.

IMO quality matrix percs like a Mobius are much better, yield huge stacks of bubbles and let you maintain decent flavors.

What about something like this.

Also, I love my syn reverse showerhead and they make some nice bubblers like that with a sidecar, but are kind of expensive for this thread.

^^ the style of perc pictured in this post works well with little water

I've heard that 'diffusion pump' perc is one of best for preserving flavor, and still cool vapor :

:ninja:

its definitely my overall fav for concentrates for sure. it travels a good distance through quite a bit of water but does not recondense at all with cranberry, retains great flavor and the draw is really smooth for sipping, I've never seen 1 on dhgate, i kinda dig this design over the Bates x Worm i have, may have to pick 1 up

@ensabbahnur Click on the picture, there is a link direct to Dhgates .. ;)

@FlyingLow Your comment seems like a bunch of sarcasm ?
I (and we all ?) take time to (try ?) to help peoples here..
As the vapor pass thru little to no water but is still cooled, I though it will interest the OP.
Nevermind.

no sarcasm, just seems counter to what was asked IMO. Not a shot at you.

pumps use about 4-5x more water than what you'd put in a D020 series or comparable bubs.

I still find the best to be minimalist. SB travel pieces with simple down stems are my preferred and use very little water

I am a fan of closely stacked honeycomb diffusers because it makes for minimal amounts of water in small package with acceptable amounts of diffusion. However it still has noticeable amounts of flavor loss and the unit I use is far from the biggest diffusion piece out there. The picture in the link isn't exactly like mine but close, mine is a high quality gas station model.

So what I have learned after a month is that single matrix percs, roosters - fritted discs offer the most amount of diffusion for the least amount of water. I also learned pumps need a lot more water!

Anybody have any recommendations for a fritted disc piece that would pair nicely with the EVO?

I think it really depends on the piece, some have to be filled up to function right. I like my tag showerhead froth diffuser 7" 18mm, there are 40 slits on the bottom so the water jus needs to cover 1-2 mm up

I like to use bongs dry. All the flavor plus cooling and you can monitor when to re up by density of vapor.:myday:

I wanna get a small recycler piece at some point. They're supposedly more flavorful somehow? Even though they provide more vapor-water contact...
But I'll probably just be using my diffuser downstem with a minimal amount of water on my simple 1ft beaker piece.

There is more smoke/water contact with recyclers?
I'm not sure I completely buy that...

Isn't the definition of a recycler a pipe that supplies water mixed with smoke from one passage, and returns mostly just the water (by gravity or centrifical force) through a seperate passage?
Seems like there might actually be LESS, not more water/smoke contact that way.
