V-One wax vape pen by Xvape

Volute of Vapor
Here a new wax pen from Xvape, the V-One, a donut atty with a all glass mp with a small sub-ohm battery(1500mah), nothing really new but it works well....really well!

Here a pic of it near of the Evolve:
9Eg5qsN.jpg

It comes with one atty (no replacement) and 1 glass mp, usb cord, dab tool, replacement o-rings and user guide.

Taste is very nice and seems to stay rather clean even after some use, hits are smooth with some thick clouds.

There is only one t° setting and there is some splashes if you load too much but except that it's a good vape pen!
Another pic of all differents colours!

Price is 49.99$, replacement attys are 18$ and replacement glass mp are 7$.

The battery capacity is 1500mah, the power can up to 40W, the heating element resistance is 0.6ohm to insure the quick heating, and can bear max to 60W power. (it's higher than most of the wax atomizer in the current market.(from the manufacturer)

Don't hesitate to ask me more!)

@PPN did they send you another new one, or is the version2 they sent you and me a while ago? Still never got to try mine (or my Evolves...), concentrates not my thing really

Yes it's another new V-One, the version they sent me a while ago was not working properly.

I like the Evolve but this one is a different beast, more comparable to the divine tribe donut atty....which one is the better....difficult to say but both offer very smooth hits but even if the Evolve taste great at the beginning, i noticed a taste degradation after some loads....i didn't experienced this issue with donut attys although...

I agree it is expensive if you compare to the Evolve, in another hand average wax pen price is a bit higher (Dabbler, DrDabber, Puffco,...). Replacements attys are expensive but maybe they last long...it would be nice if there is at least one replacement glass mp....

Xvape told me they are working on another version with a complete new design...

Can you actually put a decent load in it, unlike the DT or other donut attys, or are you finding this to be a LAYG device?

No, it's a LayG device and sorry for the late reply.

Although I need to update my review cause the only atty provided fails after 3 weeks of very light use, a shame for the price of the kit. It is still working but not enough hot to vaporize well(battery fully charged), the better i can get is some whispy hits and only if I load a very small dab. I must to add there is some leaks now but perhaps cause overload.

When it was working it was a very nice vape, taste was better than the Evolve and decent clouds too, although a 3 weeks longlife is too short imho.

so, 2 out of 2 units you have received have been bad?

I received the new version mentionned in my previous post.

I'll wait one week of use at least before to post my thoughts about the V-One 2.0...

But they replaced the donut atty with a dual quartz coil, there is now 2 attys in the package and the battery get 2 heating level.

The bubbler works well, no leaks and no water mouthfull.

More to come....

I bought this vape 3 months ago because I saw little about it and loved the ceramic disc / compact design of this.

My experience with the x-vape v-one was not a good one.

I bought the unit and 3 backup carts to go with it. I am familiar with the function of ceramic donut attys and for some reason this one would not produce good vapor , very whispy and harsh at best.

I also suspect but cant confirm that they use some sort of glue in the attys because they all off gas when dry burning new. Every time I tried to take a rip of it there was always a foreign / weird taste and for some reason the little rip I always got was super harsh and whispy.

I thought the battery might be bad so I tried it on a vv/ vw mod with no change in production or harshness.

The same experience happened with all the attys.

I may have had a dud , who knows , but in my experience this one was a waste of time and money.

I usually give these to friend if I don't personally enjoy them but this one just got thrown away.

It was my experience with the 2 previous versions using donut atty, I'll let you know about this new version using quartz coil....

what is the wire on the quartz coil? Ti or NiChrome?

Not totally sure but i think it is titanium, I remenber to read something like TiGa24.... but can't find where.

All my others past/present vape pens are Nichrome (Dabbler, Kiss, Evolve) and the wire in this one seems a bit darker to me.

For the moment I'm very pleased about taste and design, but since I got durability issue with my previous V-One (not the same version it was a donut atty) I prefer to wait a bit more before to post my full review...

Ok, I used it intensively until somedays ago and I would say I'm pleasantly surprised by this version (2.0).

Mains differences are the dual quartz coil ( previous was donut), 2 t° settings, green(500) and red(900) (it claimed to be TC unit....), a metal mp replaces the old glass one and there is a micro-bubbler (in the Henail from G9 style, comparison with this unit stop here cause they are very different), a replacement atty ( not like the previous version) and a stand to keep it upright while using the microbubbler.

Pro:
- Taste (better than the Evolve in my opinion), especially on green t° setup, clouds are big enough for me.
- you can load a large amount as a very small one with both great success
- no leaks
-no splashes
- Very smooth on green a bit harsher on red
- very small with the metal mp
- building quality is better than Evolve
- it comes with a replacement atty (not the previous donut version)
- micro-bubbler works well enough
- I like the magnetic dabber (there is a magnet on the bubbler lid to attach the dabber, nice idea!)

Cons:

- mp or micro-bubbler attachments are somewhat tight on the unit, not a real issue if you keep it clean but stay easily stucked while o-ring are gunked, I took off the upper one while using the metal mp (it makes reload easier)
- loading is difficult if you keep the micro-bubbler on the unit, i prefer to take it off before to reload.
- Stand base is a bit large and unit don't fit tight enough in, also it still work as a stand
- button is sometime misfiring, not a lot and if you don't press it tight it can moves from a setting to another, it's better to press it tight to be sure it will works well.

Here a pic of the V-One2.0 with metal mp near of the Evolve (sorry about the bad quality):

And another with the micro-bubbler:
rWtkmYi.jpg

I definitly recommand this vape as a nice on the go wax option, maybe not the best but a quality unit.
Don't hesitate to ask me more (I will go back with a definitive answer about the wire...)

Thanks for looking

Thanks for the writeup @PPN
I was looking forward your thoughts, and you didn't disappoint :)

Do you think your MK1 was faulty, or just a bad design?

I like the look of this device, and like that two temp's are available, but would prefer an atomizer where my oil doesn't touch the wire of the heater.
Does the donut work in the MK2?
And if you still have the MK1 does the MK1 glass tip fit on the MK2? (I just prefer the look).

Many thanks if you can answer either of my questions

If the MK3 has more temp's available, and a fully ceramic or quartz glass atomizer I think it would be my perfect device, so fingers crossed for that.

About the MK1 (I suppose you are speaking about the V-one first version), I don't know exactly but I received 2 units and both failed after some use, both got a donut atty....

The donut will work in the 2.0 and the glass mp will fit it too (I already tried...)

Yesz a quartz donut atty would be amazing!

Can I say I'm using the V-One intensively on the top of my mods, I think the quartz dual coil is better than the Evolve one and the donut is similar. My first reviews was not good cause the battery they provided was not strong enough, the V-One 2.0 battery fixed this issue. Although since i get 2 different mods I use this atty more than my Evolve's ones, the quartz dual rod at 10-11w and the donut at 12-15w.
After lot of uses they are still tasting very nice after a good cleaning. I like how stealth it is with the metal mp and how easy it is to reload. it was working with all subohms battery i used and even on my Thermovape 6V and 30W mechanical mod without breaking anything (using the pulse method anyway).

I hope I didn't carry too much negativity about this product in my first reviews cause i changed my mind and they make it a lot more reliable, I think you can find the top part of the V-One only for sale at a decent price, replacement attys are a bit more expensive than the Evolve plus attys but they last longer imo...

Hello! Bought a V1 of VMAX few days ago. I prefered it on v2 because of ceramic heating element...
My first use was not a good experience due to strong plastic smell and taste from ceramic heating element...
Before using it i preheated several times and after leaving element became cold again i used ISO to clean it properly. Still a heavy plastic smell and taste.
what else can i do?

Ask for a replacement... I didn't experienced a so terrible smell or taste while new but somebody else posted something similar to you. I still use occasionally my V-One's but the donuts attys are only used with a mod cause they don't produce a lot of vapor with the provided battery. It's a shame they don't sell the donut atty in the 2.0 package cause it works better with the V2 battery.
Maybe (that's only a possibility) you overheated the unit with your pre-heat..., it's designed to draw fresh air in the atty while heating, so maybe you overheated the insulator (which can be affected by too much heat)... idk...

I waited until now to reply because seller sent me a replacement coil. I mounted it but not still use this new second coil, received today, because of what you said about too much pre heating. I only tried to install it and to give him a few brief ignitions (2 or 3 sec each) and unfortunately I still not feel secure using it, still smell weird and I fear to inhale something unhealthy. How can do burnoff without any risk to overheating? So ...also this one semmes smells of burnt plastic, although very very much less of the first heating element, which is unusable. I do not understand what can be, like said coil is in ceramic. It may be that battery is defective and over heat coil in some way?

I found on the web other people with this issue on other xmax models, just post one of these:

Some guys mentioned the ceramic cup would be glued on the base, if it's the case this is the cause of your issues. Maybe you are a lot more sensitive to this odors.... if it's the case try to get a better quality vape pen (Linx Zero, w9 stuff), I'll not recommand you the Yocan line since it's pretty similar to V-One , although they listened better at their customers and I think their actual generation of attys is free of any glue.
