@cannabis.pro I received my mi yesterday :). The only complaint I have is the screens do not fit the long stem... and the short stem that came with it is deformed at the top of mouth piece.

I bought the power adapter from Alan yesterday when I went to his house. It's def a game changer for the mi. I messsd around with interested last night and managed to get massive clouds every time I hit the button. Didn't have to charge up a battery :) burned through some small micro doses, the unit did get pretty hot at the end of my session though. if anyone hates the battery aspect then they should consider grabbing this for their mi. I'll post a video on how its works and all that :)

Screens can be folded and expanded if they are the rimmed screens.

As far as the short stem sounds like it got a little too much heat during the polishing. Would you like me to send you a replacement? Please PM me your order # and I'll send one off.

Yah 420 EDC is having a sale. Check site for dates. I think its 10% site wide though he may or may not have Milaana units at that time. There had been a big resurgence of interest in this excellent unit. Shop early!!!
edit: Boy am I slow! by the time I answered @420EDC was ALL over it anyway there you go!

HI guys,

Brand new Mi received few days go. I'm looking for instructions on how to properly hit it. How long should I preheat? How to properly draw? Should I grind coarse or fine? How do you guys keep the material in the stem? I'm hoping to not have to reload or remove stem if possible while I'm on the go.

Welcome to the forum!!! There are a few techniques, but this is what I do! Make sure your battery is fully charged!!! Course grind with fairly dry, but not crumbly material. You can use moister but will get less vapor. Suck the tube, like a straw, full of material and lightly tamp with finger. insert tube in Milaana on a level angle-how you would hit it. This will help to keep packed till hitting it. Once vaped a bit it should stay put! Preheat about 5 seconds then slowly start drawing. Draw for about 5 more seconds or until you feel the vapor on the throat. You can then ride the button 2 seconds on 1 off till you get a good hit. I like to rotate the tube 1/4 turn between hits to get even vaporization. Experiment! Thats half the fun with an unregulated on demand vape!!! Others feel free to chime in with tips/tricks that you use!!!

Oh yeah, once you take a hit the material is seated in the stem securely. I'll often take a little hit inverted with it before I head out so its all packed up tight and ready to go! The draw is a slow steady puff like pull that you can increase in speed as you hold the trigger, then draw faster to clear after you let go. Medium fine grind gives best results in my experience, especially if you want to try not stirring, but anything works really. Preheat shouldn't be more than a few seconds before you start inhaling if even, I don't usually preheat unless battery is getting low or I just want to get last hits from a shallow bowl.

If you want the V3 cooling piece You can still use the DDave mod! Get the one for Tubo, its the same piece! Make sure to ask for extra screens too. You get, like, 10 with the deal! Its the same V3 cooling piece. The fit is not great at first. It will fit wobbly in the Milaana but you can make a simple shim out of a penny size piece of aluminum can. Works great!! Seals great! No worries! No wobble! The shim just stays in the female joint! I made my own top hat screens by rolling the edge of the DDave screens over the end of the V3 and then trimming the excess. Great micro dose set up!

Lots of new people... very cool. Same basic questions arise. Most have never really played with unregulated, on demand, blah, blah, blah...

The idea is to cook the herb with this boat load of heat that you need to regulate with the button AND your breath. Breath control is key. Just pressing the button doesn't do much if you don't pull the heat into the load. So, you need to coordinate breath and button, many ways to do that, but all must result in heat HOVERING in load to allow cooking, not burning.

What also effects result is herb quality, grind, tamp, screen distance, cleanliness, and probably a few more I'm not thinking of, but those are the basics...

That's a really big point that took me some time to learn. When you let the button go it usually still gets slightly warmer or maybe it's that the vapor at that temp starts reaching your mouth/lungs, not 100% sure why. But it's definitely true!

Personally I count Mississipis: 1 mississipi, 2 mississipi, ... With this easy techniche and asking people to control they draw (easier with the hemp disc mod I have to help with sorenes that also restricts drawing slightly) even people that never used vapes gets amazed by the flavour and clouds they can get from the Mi.

Is there a bit of a starting guide for usage. Like do all of you guys tend to hold the button for a certain amount before you draw? And then continuing drawing for a specified amount after button release? I know that precise usage takes time but wondering if there is a general guideline to get started?

Let go of the EXACT time notion... forget time. Go by FEEL. If the battery is low, it will take a bit longer to generate the same heat. Hit the button, pull slowly, feel the vapor hit your lips, mouth, throat, release when it starts to get thick / hot / dry / whatever limits you. When you release, experiment with pulling a little longer. No set time, it will stop producing vapor, and you'll know it's time to stop, or hit the button again. It's a back and forth, on button and breath, in a limitless variety that suits you.

I don't preheat. I just take it nice and easy with the draw to start and as I pulse the trigger, I increase the speed slightly, release trigger and continue to draw. I also try to breath in fresh air behind the vapor to increase absorption before exhaling. Sometimes I forget about the fresh air.

I would say learn the short stem before you move to the long. Keep batteries fresh too.
