Cannabis Hardware (formerly NewVape) FlowerPot Twax Vaporizer

I personally have no reference if the air being brought up the groove is affecting its performance. I can only compare it to other vaporizers i have used...

I find the ease of use, and extracting hand torn pieces from a nug efficiently... to fit my needs. I am sensitive to things... and so far haven't felt any negative effects. I try and stay away from silicone, plastics, and now stainless steel (nickel allergy) in vaporizers.

I do wish newvape offered an XLR coil, or an adapter for theirs. I saw another manufacturer with newvapes plug mentioning they'll be selling an adapter... but havent seen it for sale.

Not stoked to hear about the air leak.
Is anyone here still choosing to use the old bowls over the new ones? Or are they better in every way aside from the leak.

Its like watching a person trying to hit a bowl without covering the carb and wondering why its not working. You should NOT have any air leaks in your rig system.

The only reason i want to get this bowl is so i can use the dam double weave screens but fuck no if there is air leaks. Hope Newvape resolves this some how.

Yup. My stuff stays clean. I appreciate my glass and my American Ti. I want things to continue looking as nice as possible. I'll probably even buy a few more coil covers just so that I can keep everything looking almost new.

To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with the new bowl. It's definitely not worth the extra 10 bucks over the previous design to those who don't have severe sticking issues. Until the order of o-rings (thanks @steama) arrived I'm using hemp wick to plug it. Will also probably buy some from the site @Baron23 unless I can find further information about the orings I already purchased. Would prefer something actually rated for high temps. Don't see any reason for alarm otherwise I wouldn't have purchased them, though.

I know it's not an intended design, but what I really want is for the top half to be removable so that bowls can easily be transferred for us heavy hitters and people who enjoy switching glass often. Would absolutely love to just have a bunch of stems and just be able to move the top half from piece to piece. I understand this may not be possible while sealing the way I want and I can live with that if I didn't have to use an oring to seal it up. I still want to be able to somewhat easily remove it from the stem even if I have to wait a few to let it cool down.

To me, it seems like an easy fix. No need to actually change the bowl just the joint piece. Unless it's an issue of heat transfer making it stick again, I don't really see the need for the gap as the design is meant have both pieces together.

Don't get me wrong, I love the design, but I'm not going to buy more like initially planned until I don't have to use orings to seal it up.

Big fan of the double weave filter and really the only reason I'm continuing to use the new bowl over the previous ones.

New Vape just needs to send 5 high-temp o-rings with each adjustabowl sold. Once this o-ring solution has been tested and guaranteed to fit --- problem solved 100%.

:myday:

The adjustabowls are going to be perfect. This is just a little speed bump. Honestly, if I were ordering another bowl it would be an adjustabowl no doubt about it.

Only meant to be helpful! I agree, I think in time the adjustabowl will be perfect. Maybe not exactly as I want, but without the current function loss in comparison to the previous design without the use of external materials. It's not like I'm hurting... I have 6 bowls now haha.

It amazes me that there was no mention of leaks or diluted vapor during the alpha release. I've circled around and spoken with multiple adjusta-bowl customers each confirming the benefits of non sticking far outweigh any con. There is clearance around the moveable posts and bowl. Any leaking around those areas would only result in an internal leak. Please study the photo below. There's also clearance between the coil nut and bowls .01" in fact. No complaints of diluted vapor there. There's absolutely no way to prove or disprove any vapor is being diluted. That's a crazy unverified claim. Please consider that there are people here who thrive on drama, and love to show off their smarts at the expense of others. I've offered to completely refund people that are not 100% satisfied with any newVape part. Instead they must get more satisfaction of dragging me thru the f-ing mud.

I've been using the original bowl I got in Sept, the female 14/18. Using it on two glass rigs (grass and concentrate specific!) that have 14mm male joints. This has worked great so far, slides on smooth, comes off no problem. If my rigs gets a little dirty and sticky because I've been lazy, then the bowl might get stuck if I leave it on after a session. But some added warmth helps unstick that.

What piece do you use that's male jointed for flowers @PandaLee ?

Can confirm female bowls are reliably awesome. If it gets stuck bc of resin on the male joint, leave the head on for 5seconds to get the resin loose enough and twist it off.

I haven't broken a handle using the female bowl either! :nope:

The OG female bowls are starting to sound real good at the moment lol

This is not a drama or attack my friend this is a mechanical problem. There is a leak and it is noticeable just like a straw that has a hole in it changes how the straw works. This is what is happening to the adjustabowl.

This is not an attack on @NewVape710 or the Flower Pot or the adjustabowl. Many FP enthusiasts have confirmed and noticed the leak and many of them also feel the leaks negatively impact performance.

I can tell you are exasperated over things like this especially with your question "why wasn't this found in the alpha testing?" I for one was shocked when you abruptly shutdown the alpha to go full production. I thought wow, that was pretty damn fast. It is too bad no person ever said anything about an air leak?

So please Edwyn, do not attack your customers who are pointing out valid concerns. We love and care about your company and your product. Otherwise why give a shit and post anything about the flower pot at all.

I'm not very eloquent when it comes to speaking to others. So thank you for posting this. Had no intention of attacking Edwyn or NV. Love the products but I can always see room for improvement as with most things.

I noticed the difference in vapor on my first bowl. It's pretty much non-existent (if it is there at all, too many inconsistencies like bowl depth, load, draw speed) after installing the hempwick in the bottom to plug up the hole.

i dont know what the common practice is, but i personally leave the showerhead on the bowl and let it all heat soak...

People may not be getting vapor production they're used to creating because it might take a little more time with the new bowls added mass.

I dont know, but i wasnt complaining... just responding to what users were posting.

A couple months ago I searched long and hard across the Las Vegas valley for good glass that didn't break the bank. Most places were overpriced, by a lot, and I was hesitant to buy online without seeing how big they really were. I was afraid I'd end up with an expensive micro-rig...which are cool, but I was looking for a mid-sized oil rig and a bigger glass piece for flower.

I ended up find a smoke shop near my work, where the glass looked good and the guy would work real deals. I bought two pieces, both with 14mm male joints, from this shop, made by a company called Aqua Glass Works. They have worked very well. I had a hard time finding them online initially, but I did find their instagram page today: https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/aquaglassworks/

New products often have issues emerge with increased users. That is what is happening here. This is normal for any new product and it is nearly impossible to catch every problem.

No biggie. Say how you feel and what you think in an unvarnished way. Being honest is all anyone can do.

New stand has landed and it fits in perfectly. I love it, it is nice and heavy.

Oh boy.. Didn't even realize the grinder fit there. Stand just got even better. Thanks for sharing. :D

Think I found what I want to use to hold my ground material. Probably will add 2 to my next order assuming I don't find something else I'd like better. Only real requirements are being somewhat sealed, small, and easy to use with the loading tool.

Yikes! How frustrating but...If air is going to take the path of least resistance, why would it be going down the adjustment channel? For that to be the path of least resistance, that would indicate that the bowl screen is clogged, or too much herb(dare I say) was loaded into the bowl? I've got zero issues on my PanHead setup. I dump a fat scoop in there, RIP & RAGE it until its spent. The result is thus:

Slim-pickens_riding-the-bomb_enh-lores.jpg

I've checked my setup and there's just no leaking going on thankfully - thick juicy vapors! Even when I ran out of ISO last week and my double weave screen turned into a gooey puck, the air wasn't going down the adjustment channel at all, it became super hard to pull, evidence of a good seal? I'm not saying this isn't happening to you two (obviously), but could it have been a one-off or due to glass anomalies?
For those who may not be old enough (or just f*cking old like me) to remember, the posted image is Slim Pickens riding the a-bomb down in Dr. Strangelove. Great film.

For steama its his handle. Dont know if baron has a handle as well but i do notice a slight lift off the joint without one, but i manually keep it up right when i use it. Maybe just a longer stem could prevent this...

@NewVape710 - wow, Edwyn, I personally think this was a very ill advise post.

First, there is absolutely a way to prove or disprove an air leak. Whose kidding who here? It may be an unverified claim to you, but to some of the owners of your devices, including me, its absolutely verified both by subjective experience of the vapor density and simply doing a objective leak test with the inlet sealed (oh, and comparing that in the same piece to a leak test with the OG SH).

I don't know who else you have specifically offered a refund to in posts, but I know you did it to me twice and I'm not sure why (because I don't think I have been overly critical or critical with out foundation in fact). But you also said in both instance that I can return "unused" product. Makes perfect sense...but how the heck would I know if I like the product before using it?

I personally, now and in the post where I reviewed my first sessions with the Pan Head, said explicitly I have no interest in returning them, I never asked you for a cent, but I certainly noted my experiences to my fellow board members (and this is a board primarily for its members to exchange info, right).

I don't know who you think is dragging you "thru the f-ing mud" but suspect its @steama and I and I reject that characterization vigorously. Your response was, to me, highly and unnecessarily defensive. If you think this is unreasonable bashing and unfair reporting, I personally suggest you consider rethinking being in a retail business....and perhaps participating on open forums. Was it criticism in the sense of trying to provide "analysis and judgment of the merits and faults" which is part of the definition of that word...yes, and I though in my initial Pan Head post I went to some lengths to make it clear that this what I strive for and I still find that approach to be reasonable and fair.

Wow, you didn't seem to mind the page after page of compliments but a few take exception to one aspect and suddenly we are "are people here who thrive on drama, and love to show off their smarts at the expense of others". That's complete and utter baloney.

How's this...I think you owe us an apology.

You are right...just a break then. Thanks

Seemed like a lot of frustration, like they were having a bad day and then just lashed out. I type out a bunch of stuff like that too when frustrated, all this fire and about to leave a comment, but I've learned to delete it before posting! Just writing it out (typing away) generally helps get it off your chest, but emotional tirades never look good publicly.
