@Dudeson 1882 - We don't currently stock any UK models, we plan to do so in the winter. Updated pricing will be made available upon release but I don't expect there will be much of a price difference from the 120V model. If you subscribe to our website, you will get up to date information including release dates and special deals.

Thank you Oracle I will sign up later & be following this thread with interest.

Here are some pictures of my Oracle with commentary.
The good with the bad, I am very picky.

:) The power cord is the same that a computer/monitor uses.
:) The air filter has easy access and is mounted in a better location than Volcano.
:( The connecting piece to the bowl was mounted crooked.
:( The temperature dial is kind of loose and wiggles around when I turn it.

:) Easy to take apart.
:) Inner components are rather tidy.
:( The inner silicon tube is pinched up against jaggedly cut metal.
:( I have no idea how to clean out herbs from inside the heating unit.

:) About as tall, but not as wide as the Volcano.
:) Aesthetically much nicer looking and more concealable than the Volcano.
:( Collects fingerprint smudges quite a bit more easily than the Volcano.
:( Bowl is not as rugged, being glass.

Is that a production unit or a beta unit. Reason why I'm askin' is it looks like something that was made in my high school metal shop.

May be a great vape, but the external build quality leaves a lot to be desired.

I sincerely hope this is an early unit that dime is showing. There are some serious fit and finish issues that shouldn't be in a $450 vaporizer.

Right Engy, those are the sort of things I was talking about a couple pages back in this thread.

If you look at my serial number, it would appear I have the 37th unit in production. Very early.

I think they should definitely switch the housing to a brushed-metal, it would look better and wouldnt get smudges and prints so easily. and i definitely wouldnt be tolerating crooked mounts and hot glued components in a vape of this price either.

although im definitely very interested in trying one out. for the sake of trying an IR vape.

I have been reachng out to them for over a month but there haven't been any available. Hopefully soon.

VAPOLITICS!
Though I admit some improvements have to be done in production (and I stated some in my review), we also have to remember air path is glass isolated: from the foam air filter to the bowl chamber... 100% sealed (best example: if you clear the b balloon through the whip, when it's vacuum empty,, you will not pull a sip of extra air (comming from the guts of the machine for example)...so though I agree with some statements, I do not think this affect at all healthiness of the airpath... but I might be wrong!

Hey, which IR emitter are you using in The Oracle?

Its a 400W Short-Wave Infrared Emitter

We used to have an aluminum brushed metal housing, but it wasn't as strong as the stainless steel version.

Dime's unit was very early in the production line and we have made a few modifications from that time:
-The glass mounting procedure has been streamlined so all the joints are perfectly straight.
-The power dial is now bolted to the case
-The section where the hose touches the metal is now laser cut and perfectly smooth

We continue to stand behind our products and will honor all warranties.

I have a unit reserved for you, unfortunately one of our components (the air pump) was delayed due to the Tsunami in Japan back in May. The moment your unit is ready I will ship it express at no charge.

Does the 400W Short-Wave Infrared Emitter look anything like what is shown below?

:peace:

In terms of the composition yes, although the shape of ours is customized to suit the design of the chamber. The model shown in the picture is a twin tube design and more suited for 2D heating.

I see. So, basically it's a halogen design but we could agree that the lamp's custom specifications make it particularily well suited for this Infra-Red application.

Any word on when units are going to ship to USA? I've been waiting for stock to show up at VaporNation for 3 weeks and my lungs are getting pretty angry at me for not having a replacement for my dead vaporizer yet. :(

Hey Ganjananda,

We just sent a new batch of units to VaporNation last week so they should have your's ready. I can certainly understand how annoying it is to have to go back to smoking after owning a vape.

Send me a pm and let me know if they fill your order, otherwise I will ship you an Oracle directly to avoid any more angry lungs. :p

Any chance we could see some pictures of the internals? I'd like to see how they differ from the ones posted previously, because if they look anything like those...deal breaker.

I have been meaning to put up an internal image for a while, thanks for reminding me.

Picture quality isn't the greatest but the following upgrades have been made:
-Power knob upgraded to a sturdier case-mount version.
-Hose contact point is now a smooth laser cut section.
-Glass joint in chamber now leveled with improved process.

All in all the unit still performs as great as previous ones but with a few sturdier modifications.

Sweeet! Thanks for the info. I have no doubt VN is on top of their stuff--I was more worried there might be long-term stock issues. Can't wait to get it!

looks much better, very tempted to shoot you an email to see what pricing is available to an FC member like myself. Would love to try the Oracle and share my experience with the community, but the unit it still far out of my price range at this time. There is a lot in the design i really like.
