I use my M daily and once I found my mojo would not want to be without it, but I've found that I need full range of carburation, from completely closed to full open during use. I've been seriously considering an Omni purchase (really TI Woody XLS vs Omni XL), but I can't help but wonder if I'm not going to be happy with a single carb setting. I know that a few [a lot!] of you have both standard and Omni models can anyone help push me over the Omni cliff?

The thing I really like the Omni for is using through water tools. Set it and forget is easy when you are using a bubbler. My Omni is a Nonavong model and I love it. But when I switch to a regular body I open up the carb so I can modulate myself. On a water tool it can be harder to locate and operate the carb.

So my SBM and M arrived today.

Laid my M on the table, and it rolled off. The M itself is fine, but...

The cap disappeared. I'm not kidding. I've been searching for the past 40 minutes and it's not anywhere in my room. Makes no sense.

Lucky for me I still have the SBM to use, but it sucks anyways. Fuck.
I lost a cap at a party a while back, searched for it and everything and then found it on the floor at the bank...the next day (I was wearing different clothes too)

keep your eyes peeled, chances are it didn't appreciate being rolled and wanted to teach you a lesson

Anyone know how to get the taste of combustion out of an M w/ Ti-tip short of an ISO bath? I combusted by accident (couldn't hear the click) earlier today and the taste going forward is gross. Somehow tastes way worse than what I remember from combusting bowls/joints.

When I'm out and about i keep a few q-tips.. Even without iso, if you use your saliva to moisten the qtip and run it through the condenser and tip a few times it will help remove that taste...

I dab. A lot.
So a little experimenting on-the-go and at-home, I've figured that this is a better at-home unit for me, bigger clouds than my Air II quicker and more efficient too. I like how relaxing it is to just take one hit and just sit there. And take another when you feel comfortable. No timers. No degrading batteries. Just me and the click.

Dude, I was so wasted on Saturday I combusted in the Omni, de-gummed hemp filter and all. Vile :ugh:. But no problem, I thought, I'll just switch to the M. I was surprised by how much longer it was taking for the cap to click until I realised I was heating the mouthpiece, not the cap:doh:. Proceeded to heat the cap to the click and stuck the scorching hot MP in my mouth. Nice red lips afterwards

I got the same maxim triple torch delivered to me too  love the feel and weight of it but have found it clicks very fast but i dnt get nearly as much clouds as i do with the single honest torch i have, and everytime i lower it the flames splutter

Me too i like the weight and feel. And the butane seems not to go down as fast as I thought it would.
I have mine on full power. And aswell as turning in the flame I go out and in again try keep it away from the tips of the inner flames.
I'm getting great quick clouds with the SBM.

Which bring me on to I love the feel of it. The finish and the weight I think is quality in the hand. Master how to carb it and the clouds are excellent with it.
I slowly rotate it so my finger tip goes over the carb in and an on off back and forth. When you find the sweet spot, draw til the click.

I admit a single torch gives you more accuracy on the cap heating so you can achieve low med high temps or top middle and bottom haha.

Anyway maxim triple + SBM has to be the perfect place to start

Keep cappin :leaf::nod::leaf:

Hahaha!! I needed the chuckle!

About the 3rd day of owning my first VC i stuck the hot cap end in my mouth... Learned that lesson the hard way as well!

Luckily lips are red'ish ... So the little blister i got was barely even visible. But i pay better attention now.

-- Day 2 of sobriety -- :cuss: -- still have about a quarter of herb... I should of planned better... It's a lot harder when you want to take a T break but still have herb laughing at you...

Somebody vape a cap... Or 3... For me!

How did that taste?

If you were near me I'd give ya a few buds... I dont have the fancy herb they have in legal states... But it's not compressed Mexican bud either...

Not that i really have an issue with Mexican herb... I use to live a couple hours from the Mexican border. at least a decade ago.. Ounces for $25-40, pounds for $300-400... Wasn't the best herb.. But i made do with those prices!!

-------------------------------

This morning i started my herb hiatus... 5 days later than i planned because i was eager to try the Portside before i started it.

Twice a year i go at least a month without herb. Lets my body clean itself out and restart my tolerance.. The first few days are always real shitty... Hot/cold flashes, anxious, and night sweats... But it always seems to improve my health and makes me enjoy the herb even more after the hiatus is over...

But i dread these first few days... Going to be even harder now that i have these awesome vapcaps and a sweet induction heater staring at me... But that just means more to look forward to on Thanksgiving !

first hit or two was exactly what you would expect, a blast of mint hitting your throat. every hit after that has a weird taste though.

also, my torch lighter is in the mail so i'm using my stove to heat the vapcap! might be heating it a little too quick...

Just got my brand spanking new nonavong Blackwood , George and team are just plain awesome to deal with... Thanks so much team dynavap, this thing is no less than amazing.! I'm currently on the road traveling for work, got my skelly in the middle console of my van, I just take a "dip" whenever needed. We remodel restaurants ( at night) so it's easy to just take a few puffs during " smoke breaks"... Nonavong + skelly = High Plains Drifter...:leaf:. Oh and RIP to the MASTER Fats Domino .... peace and cheers D

Gas or electric stove? If electric, old school with the element exposed or new school glass like top? Just curious really.

If gas... Seems like that would be the easiest, and closest to a torch. Adjusting distance from the flame could slow the click down enough to fully heat the herb.

If old school electric you can turn the stove to high... When it's glowing red you can let the cap, furthest from the tip as you can, rest right on the element and rotate it around to evenly heat. I did this while cooking dinner once because i left my torch in the truck. No issues.

New school glass like top may work too... But i don't have one of them around to test.

each torch had it's own little vapor sig.

I am a huge proponent of double flame lighters, even though it's the one I got last!

I started with singles, then went to triples, but the double seems like the perfect balance of even heating without blowing through butane like the triple and quads. Been lusting after that Omni XL.... :D need a couch vape for when I don't feel like walking over to the Flower Pot.

Gas stove. So yeah, it's basically a giant torch. Blue flame so there's no soot on my cap or anything.

Single, double, quad. Don't use the quad for anything, maybe for fun with a glass VapCap. It's kinda decent for those low-temp nail hits though surprisingly. The single I usually use at home, the double has more power so I would use it when I wanted to go mobile. Nice thing about the doubles is if you hold it parallel it heats the whole cap but if you hold it perpendicular it acts like a stronger single torch.

Had a few ppl inquiring about buying one. If I can get at least 10 orders together I'll build them. Message me for details if you're interested. I'm a 1-person operation and these are cnc'd and hand-built (can even put your own design on the lid), so would likely be in the $200 neighborhood.

Here's my version of an induction heating station based on @Pipes info in the DIY thread. Functional for 2 dynavaps. Aluminum star in the center is a heatsink that you rest your dynavap in to heat. First button latches and enables/disables. Second button is momentary to apply heat. Really takes the dynavap to a whole new level.
