Getting concentrates off parchment - Tips and Tricks

Tried scraping, peeling, folding, chilling, freezing, warming, etc..
I know each type acts differently and requires different technique.

So far I've had best results with a "stick and rip" technique.
I use the curved back of a tool, touch extract and a quick lift off parchment.

How do you FC experts extricate stubborn concentrate from parchment?

Thank you.

It helps to have good paper. Oil slick paper has a heavy silicone coating that helps in recovering rosin. It's like $20 for 250, ten by ten sheets. Much better than grocery store parchment paper.

If the rosin is oily and does not want to collect, you can freeze it, or just let sit out until it firms up. Sitting it out may take a day or two tho.

How I collect rosin varies. I have and use several tools. I bought a wax carving set off amazon.. about 80% of the time it comes off super easy, and sticks to itself.

If it doesn't want to collect I freeze it. If it's like shatter and flies around I warm it up gently on a seedling warming mat.

It may help that I press at low temps. Higher temps tent to produce sap. Lower temps more like wax. Both these statements are in general because it seems things change frequently due to whatever, like humidity, temperature, age of the herb, or hash and so on.

I take a porcelain kitchen plate and use that to collect the rosin. Place the sticky side of the parchment against the plate. Rub on the non-sticky side with a blunt object, pressing the rosin into the plate. Then rip the parchment off the plate and most, if not all, of the rosin will stick to the plate. Then take a razor blade and scrape the rosin off of the plate.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Stick and rip works well. Sometimes you can use a piece of 'drier' hash to pick up the sappy oil with, if you don't mind mixing.

If not, I have a leftover piece of tile I'll place in the chest freezer, that in combination with a glass 'rosin stamp' works pretty well, but you have to watch out for condensation. Usually I wipe the tile off with a towel and use another piece of parchment in between.

Also, I like to transfer the sappy stuff over to PTFE, I have a pack of the 'terp proof' squares, and they work pretty well.

Cheers
