Good morning everyone, wow wedding went great! My girls family made it down and got to meet some I hadnt yet. Not a big wedding by any means went smooth for the most part, what wedding would it be without a couple hiccups. Had some laughs as a result, am such a happy man now!

We didn't have a whole lot of cash to invest in the wedding bands we looked at a while back. Thanks @Mr. Me2 for thinking bout us back then. We picked a couple nice simple white gold. The place where we got em said buy em now pay tomorrows price tonight and come back tomorrow to pick them up. Knocked off $100, how bout that! So gave it to my oldest since my 3 boys were my best man and groomsman. I hadnt thought to take the ring out of the box told my son to either keep it in the box or take it out which ever he felt comfortable with and not misplace it, he left it in the box. When it came time to get the ring during the ceremony he takes it out of the box and theres a price tag stuck to it wrapped around not coming off lol. We all got a laugh from that and I slid it on her finger with the tag hanging. Was later at the reception we snipped it off. We didnt go anywhere for the honeymoon, stayed near. Did go to the fair in the city had great fair food rode a ride or two and won her a big stuffed rainbow raccoon. We just had a great time enjoying it with each other for a few days. Got some house hunting done with no luck, seems house hunting is very similar to my normal hunting. Sometimes you get lucky most of the time you dont.

Did some turning the last couple of days. Would you believe this specie is the most undesirable species I offer. I finally sold one after all this time.

California Redwood Burl WoodScents

Ive always liked working this wood.

Worked up another Buckeye. This piece had a void in opposite sides where you could see through the upper body. Had these big white eyes.

See that dark WPA, I dont think I have ever turned a piece in BE that was that dark. Yall know I dig a contrast!

Did another species I hadnt yet, West African Zebrawood

Really enjoy turning these latest species. The Goncalo is such a super dense wood, had to bore it slow. The finish is super sleek, I love when the feel is glass like and has that sheen.

Woot woot got a brand new blade for my chain saw a day or so ago. Had a bday bonfire for my youngest last night. Was a good time spent.

Wow @ichibaneye I dont know what to say bro, thanks for your kind kind words! You said alot, you know all well how I do and why. I hope you enjoy my post above as I really enjoyed reading yours, had to show my girl, wow very humbling. Take care my man and know I appreciate you! BTW, hang in there, what dont kill ya only makes ya stronger and smarter!

@Summer Wow thank you too, most grateful. We had the wedding a week ago yesterday, did almost a week before it was back to total reality. Great songs posted, thanks!

@Other Side Thank you so much bro and for all you do! Hope all is well your way, take care homie!

@CarolKing Yes ma'am you got your piece when I launched and have been truly repping me since, I so appreciate every post you have made since! Thanks for the congrats and for thinking of us. I so hope we find a home soon! Keep ripping that WS and telling all you know!

@Ed's TnT thank you for touching down with us all and again so generously and openly sharing your life and what is in your heart!
I know I can speak for everybody when I say how wondrous it is to hear that you are happy.

Nobody in their right mind could ever begrudge you of it, it is clearly so truly and absolutely deserved!
However... I did let out a sudden gasp when I read this:
Got some house hunting done with no luck
I thought you said "HORSE hunting"! No joke I seriously read that and was thinking it for a moment!
I blame my first edible dose of the day just coming on momentarily.:D

I mean, I know you you like your meat Ed, and Im sure you work up enough hunger at times to eat a :horse:,

But I thought "that can't be right", and then I read the next line and my mistake became clear-
"Oh- HOUSE hunting, not HORSE hunting"!

Still, you had my imagination twirling for a second or 2!;)

Welcome back to reality Ed, so glad to know it is a happier one for you now, forever may it continue!:)

That was so beautiful, Alexis. I, for one, don't think Ed is going to have 2 feet planted in reality for a good long while to come now that he has his Mrs.

Congrats Ed!!

I used the Woodscents in episode 2 of Getting High With Vapes. I didn't use it un 3/4 of the way through the video. I'll have to bring it back again soon because I don't think I did the Woodscents justice. It just wasn't the pace I was looking for at the moment.

Well, I had a little issue with my Woodscents. Had to send it back for repair after having it for a couple weeks. The time while it was gone made me realize how much I love the thing!! When it was gone I had to go back to using my old Vapes. Nothing is really doing it for me anymore. I've only had portables up until now. Ed got it fixed up and back out to me very quickly. Usps then got delayed, but didn't update and I thought for a couple days it was lost in the mail. Scared the hell outta me! It did finally get delivered and everything's working perfect. Just wanted to say thanks @EdsTnT and to anyone considering a purchase know that if you have any issues Ed's got your back. This is by far my favorite vaporizer and has cured my VAS for the foreseeable future.:tup:

Good morning everyone, just got home after a couple days away at 4H training again. I am certified as a shotgun range officer/instructor now as well as being an air/.22 pistol officer/instructor. Gosh I love doing this for the kids and going through the training. Its such a joy to be able to be a part of this activity with my kids as well as others in our program. As I said before there is a lot of kids that dont play sports, maybe they are just too small for football and maybe not the best on the baseball field but can and do enjoy mastering the skills at marksmanship. Just what was said again at training yesterday, when you are on the range and with a kid that has never shot before, after going over with them how and what they are supposed to do when shooting an air rifle the first thing they shoot at is a blank target. No bullseye or spot is on the target its just a blank piece of paper when they shoot at it. As an instructor you dont look at the target when they shoot you look at the child to see the excitement of just hitting the paper. It doesnt matter where on the paper they shot its just that they hit the paper and seeing them recognize they did it, the smile they wear and the enthusiasm to do it again. Wow it only gets better after that!

Not sure if I told you all or not, my middle son had the big state chicken showing, he didnt win and was disappointed but didnt let that discourage him. He sold his chickens afterwards making about $120. Now he is very excited and is anxious to do it again. He has enough money now to buy a kayak he has been wanting for a long time now. He took his chickens to a live stock auction with his grandfather. It was mostly a chicken auction. They said all the chickens were selling for almost nothing but when his came up the auctioneer said they were some of the best there and were 4H chickens, he sold some in pairs of rooster/hen and just hens alone. People started bidding and would you believe he got $22 each for just a hen alone. Nobody there got anywhere close to that kinda money for one.

My wife went with me again for this training and is always great having her by my side. I know we are newlyweds still and have been together for a little over a year now but I dont like being apart from her and her away from me. I know that wasnt always the case in my first marriage, and hope this never changes in my marriage now. My wife is such a blessing to me. She is near me always when we are together. If I am in the shop working wood she is there as well. She is always wanting to help and pitch in and if there isnt anything she can do she is cross stitching on a chair there in the shop. I love turning a beautiful piece and yanking it out of the lathe to walk over and show her how nice it is afterwards. She says wow babe that is beautiful and gosh you are really talented. I say thank you and no I am not. I am just doing what I do and love what I do is all. I am thankful to be able to do what I do and hope I am able to do it the rest of my life.

Have been spinning more WS and got alot going on, did this stunner Cocobolo piece

@Reflections Omgosh my lady, I watch alot of news and listen much, I had seen the devastation out there and heart goes out to all those that lost it all. What a sad sad lose! I am glad you are safe and understand your abscense. I cant imagine putting myself into yours and other shoes when the danger is so close. Hang in there and I pray you all make it through this safe! Yes its true I am married now and loving it. I am so enthusiastic for the future! Yes I did just buy this place and oh how I love it but its many miles between the 2 of us. 90 in fact, so we are looking in the 45 range. Me with 3 boys and her with a boy and a girl and uhhh yeah as I said above to @Summer my nor her place at 3 bedrooms just aint going to cut it. Isnt it crazy not a single redwood has sold. Someone mentioned it, being in a class with the other burls I offer, its a tough choice for customers. I am glad you like what you see and when you are ready for one just let me know, I will have just the piece for you! Take care and stay safe!

@ThatBoringBitch Wow thanks for the recommendation and for the cooperation! I am glad you are back up and running and find the WS to cure what ails you lol. I really liked doing your piece and hope you enjoy it for a long long time to come! You know I got you and will always be here in what ever I do and can do! Wish you a great rest of your weekend with the kids, take care!

Hi folks,

I picked up the incredible camphor burl that Ed posted on the last page. It's hard to believe but it is even more exquisite in person! I am in love! The matching stems are incredible! I've long admired the WS but had been holding off until the right piece spoke to me. I was initially holding out for a nicely voided piece or a live edge but when Ed shared that row of beauties I couldn't take my eyes off it!

I am using an alternate phone since my iPhone completely gave out and haven't figured out how to po at pics or videos from the phone yet but once I figure it out They shall soon follow! I use it pretty much at the highest temp (slightly under 10 because it seems to cool down if I have it turned up as far as the dial allows and I get va beautiful roast but no combustion! This baby and my Tubo are now the heavy miller's in my household! And let me tell you guys, this sweet thing really brings the thunder! I really love the idea of a little LED light in there, I'd love to launch with a purple beam of light over my FC-Ufo and then slip on that aroma therapy cup and space out!

I prefer the vapcap tips to the 14mm Glas stem because I just don't get the same level of doneness with my herb. I wish i had an o-ring just slightly thicker than the high to one's so I could get a little firmer of a seal, but boy is the flavor fantastic with that glass wpa.

I am still getting used to inverting the WS onto the stem as its seated in the bubbler but I just haven't gotten it effortless yet.

I sure love that it uses the vapcap tips and therefore can be used with every vapcap i owm besides the OG. Guys this is beautiful and I know I'll always have support (not that I'll ever need it) just one quick text or call away!

Ed, you really built the perfect piece for me, and somehow you knew it! I really enjoyed talking with you about your wedding my friend and was thrilled get a picture from you of the beautiful bride and groom!

I have a friend that works security at one of the hospitals I work at and he is very talented with the wood lathe and makes some gorgeous pens am get other beautiful bowls and storage comtainers. I showed him this beauty in a text and he identified it immediately! I am going to have him make me a few stems, I want one to be around 6-8" stem like a cigarette holder, maybe another routed into a 2 piece configuration so I could heat the cap area easily (probably similar in size to the WPA that Ed sells in in his packages) and then insert it into along stem so it is reminiscent of a long gandalf pipe, I like that i have plenty of options for the WS and I thing some long stems will make for some incredible dry hits!

I have no idea how I am not combusting with the WS on max but I am straight mesmerized with this very special piece. Ed, this piece already has incredible sentimental (sentimental really) value already and I just can't believe it gets any better than this! Ed I won't truly be satisfied until you and I get to sit down and have a session together some day. If we ever get the chance to make it happen I will be over the moon!

Thank you dearly my friend, you should be proud of yourself in many different aspects right now my man!

Welcome to the club bro! The Camphor Burl club that is!

But damn that Cocobolo is a stunner too!!!

Good morning everyone, wow have had some great days past, been busy as usual. Have been adding to my family, was getting an oil change last week and a small black kitten came walking up, I had a look at him saw hes a boy and the guy says he needs a home, lucky for the kitten he was a boy cat, so needless to say I adopted a new member

This is Mr. Whitey Biscuits

cVONrRF.jpg

Got to thinking about a hard name for him and was thinking about Mr wolf, thought if you needed a cleaner you would want to call Mr. Biscuits lol! Hes a great cat and is already finding the bench in the shop to be a nice place to chill and take cat naps. Major and Daly are making friends, they are still on the fence about him but I feel are coming around. Seems Mr. Biscuits is holding his own like a tough guy does. So I mentioned my wife and I went to the Dr last week, as it turns out Mr. Biscuits isnt the only addition to the family

This Wednesday she will be 9 weeks along. We are both very excited and a little nervous as well being as how there isnt as much spring in our chickens like there once was. We so gotta find a house, between the 2 of us will be 6 kids, wow thats a bunch! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy pls!

Was doing some digging through my wood stock/stash and found a log @Rick sent me a long time back. Made a Zap inspired WS, its just under the standard Zap OD and just a bit under the standard height, is made from Myrtlewood. This piece slicked out really well!

Gotta give Rick a big thanks for the inspiration he gave me long long ago and the help in the beginning when I got into the vape industry, much has changed since then but all has been good!

If anyone wants this piece pls let me know. Will be a neat throwback piece for sure! I have a couple other blanks from that log that have serious live edge bark on em that will turn into WS bodies soon!

Took this chunk and turned a stellar cosmic piece

Its so stinking hard to take pics and show the true beauty of the piece. I dont think I have ever turned a piece of BE that has a red/purple hue to it, omgosh this piece has a big big knot in it that looks like a planet in a cosmic galaxy almost its a freaking stunning piece

@Mr. Me2 I do bro, I really do!

@virtualpurple My man you know I always had you in mind, you have been a solid to me for a long long time, I had to get you a special piece and knew at some point I would get it right. I am so happy you have found it to be a great piece for you and hope you enjoy it for a long long time to come! One day when we have a chance to have a sit down that will cement it bro, be a good time had for sure! I will have your remaining pieces to you soon and will be in touch. Gotta run get the day started, sun should be coming up soon enough!

@Other Side What a tight club you are both in, believe it or not I have one Camphor set left and no one has asked for it. Its a stunner just the same, hope all is well your way bro!

Where to start...
First off well done to the chicken whisperer, not important that he didn't get the win he enjoyed himself and earned $120 out of it.
Having stood in an aircraft hanger size building full of chickens, duck, geese and turkeys I can tell you there is good money in birds, I've seen $250 geese before and tiny little teals fetching $100 a pair.

A new tom cat and a new baby great news, four of your own soon.
Perhaps the cat ain't the only one needing to lose his nut's.

How about Cadbury or Flake for a name lol.
Once he raps the dogs across the nose with those claws they will know he's boss.
My neighbours cat scratches at the shed door to get in, she gets a bit of fuss then she's off to sleep curled up in a chair in front of the burner.

Congrats to everyone. New wife, cat, house, baby, chickens and a kayak the future is looking great.

First time posting in this thread, but I feel compelled to as these devices are just so damn b-e-a-utiful

@Ed's TnT
Man o man you do you know how to give someone butterflies in their tummy from an inanimate object (although these wooden beauties look VERY much alive).

Ive been considering getting the NV Flower Pot but given my setup at home, two young boys under the age of 4 prevent me from having a dedicated 'vape station', I feel the WS would suit my needs better.

There's also the fact that I love things that are artisan and crafted from wood and metal. I'm a chef and love great knives with wooden stocks. I also have a lot of sentimental, functional wooden items that I have gathered over years traveling through Africa; particularly Malawi.

Would it be possible to get a WS turned from African Blackwood, like the DynaVap stems? Congrats and best wishes for your recent betrothing and new additions to the family. I wish you much happiness and good health for you and your family. Many thanks.

:peace:

Hey hey, good afternoon, wanted to post up and do some show and tell. I got my last batch of heaters in, trying something different. Wanted to push the limits of the WS even more.

zBgOh21.jpg

Also did another piece from the Myrtle log I got from @Rick

I had more live edge bark but sanding it yeah took off more than I wanted. Still going to bench test it, if it holds together then its available.

I call it the Jeckle and Hyde piece

qugc3uA.jpg

Of course you can stick your finger inside it when its assembled and running but that doesnt mean you should.

Thats the great thing about the WS, making pieces possible everyday!

Mr. Biscuits is making a home here, hes getting along well with Major and Daly. Hes all over the shop, hes been getting awful close to the lathe when turning so not cool.

PjLK8pE.jpg

Hes not a little kitten but not a full grown cat yet, he still likes to play and have much fun. Ill get busy standing at the bench and if I dont pet him hes jumping on my chest on my should, ohhh I am goign to pet him then.

BTW that Zap inspired WS I am doing for a deal, if anyone is interested hit me up.

@elykpeace Thanks much bro, the morning sickness has been tough on my girl. Pls do, we need em!

@TeeJay1952 LOL, I feel you! Thanks bro!

@lazylathe Its good to see you bro, thanks for the congrats and wishes! I cant say how blessed I am, life is good and all is well. I aint rich, my family is safe and healthy, the bills are paid and I do what I love, the future is bright and if nothing changes itll be one worth lived. Good to see you bro!

@Vitolo My man, thanks so much and tell Patty I said so! Its really good to see you round as well! You know all to well. I am hoping life is getting back to normal for you both. Take care my friend!

@Copacetic Been a while, I am happy to see you here also. I hope you have been doing good. I so appreciate you noticing all the good stuff goings on. There is no doubt were doing some growing round here lol.

@phattpiggie Aint it crazy bro, birds like that can bring big dollars. Lol, I was just saying that yesterday. Been thinking bout getting snipped, dont know much about it and kinda nervous. Going to have to talk to the doc soon. Not sure if I told you what I was thinking when I named him. Thanks for all the congrats bro, you know I appreciate you, been neat seeing all the pieces youve been doing.

@Mr Rooibos Wow I appreciate you posting up with your kind words, I just do what I do and let the wood tell the story. Mother Nature does it all I just get lucky. I saw your post the other day and had to call my wood guy to talk about getting an order in next week or so. I priced some Blackwood for a WS and can do it. I gotta be honest I had no idea how much it would cost. I knew it would be high but jeez, ohhh its expensive. One thing is certain, I can get it, I can do my thing and you can be asured it will be one of the most magnificent WS ever done. I have so wanted to do a piece in Blackwood, its by far my most favorite species. A piece that large finished and polished holy moly thatd be like new money bro, you gonna want to slap the first person that disrespects it lol! Thanks again, you wanna do something let me know!

@snackmaster My man, thanks for posting up your WS pic, youre so right, even my pics above pale in comparison when holding it in hand. I hope you are enjoying it and wish you all the best!
