Hello,

i've been collecting my ABV since 2 years or so.
Dont know why.
I kind of liked to like at it after vaping.
strange behavior when I think about it ....

anyways; I have three 200ml glas jars full of medium brown ABV.
What can I make out of it.

I tried to eat it once.
awfull.

Can I make a oil, wax or something like that ?
something like an anti anxiety sleeping concentrate would be nice

I would extract it via ISO,and after evaporation of the alcohol i would mix it with some coconut oil and sunflower lecithin.
Or if i am lazy i would just make a tincture with ISO,simmer it down. and drop it down on some ready made food. :)) 1-2 drops on a muffin or a sugar cube works wonders, you can toss them in a tea/coffee even lemonade. :)) :))

so liquid extraction would be key.
i have dried making butter from it a while ago.
it stinks and looks disgusting.
never hat the guts to try it, tough.

how would one proceed with the ABV + ISO99% method ?

mix abv with iso let.
let sit for how long ?
run through filter.
let sit.
run through filter.

and now ?
when is it save to consume?
what do I need to do to make sure that ALL iso is gone ?
how does the resilt look and taste ?

is there a way to create a topic application on skin for massages ?
that would be nice.
transdermal uptake ? sounds silly but hey.

as the first step ?
what is the reason to soak the abv in water before the ISO ?

Never done it but supposedly helps remove those AVB flavors. If they don't bother you, you could skip it, but I'm gonna try it next time I recycle some AVB.

I dont like taste of ABV either. So i do a few extra steps to ensure i am getting as much of the bitter waxes out of the final product.
First prefreeze ABV and Alcohol separately for few hours. Then mix together ,put just as much to cover the material, dont put too much cause it will take longer to evaporate. After that simmer it for 20-30-40 minutes (you can toss it in the freezer while it simmers ) and strain trough a strainer or cheese cloth and then trough a coffee filter. IMO cheese cloth(i actually use large medical gauzes ,instead of cheesecloth) is better because you can actually squish it and get more out of it than using a strainer. After straining trough a coffee filter ,let it sit for few hours in the freezer and strain again trough a coffee filter ,to remove more of the bitter stuff.
Then proceed to evaporation. If you want to make a tincture to use with an eyedropper, dont evaporate the alcohol fully ,just simmer it down to the desired consistency.
If you wanna mix it with coconut oil which can be used both for topicals ,lubricants and edibles, then u must evaporate all the alcohol prior that. Put few tablespoons of the coconut oil along with the extract and apply some heat ,via double boiler method or else.
After the oil mixes with the coconut ,you can further dilute it with fresh virgin coconut oil ,which hasnt been heated. This is the key to both have the benefits of the unheated virgin coconut oil + the extract .
-------------------
As for water curing prior extraction ,i think it would add too much of extra work, cause you have to let it sit for a day in room temp water and after that you must strain and wait for it to dry.. If you have the nerves to do it you can further save on the bad taste . :)
------------------------------------------------
If you are feeling lazy, fuck prefreezing , just mix the ABV with Alcohol ,let it sit for 30-40 minutes.. ,then strain ,evaporate ,mix with coconut oil or use as tincture.
------------------------
As for absorbtion trough skin, it is possible but you will need DMSO for that, which can be quite dangerous,if you havent washed the place you apply it ,cause you can transfer crap into your bloodflow.

We got only Ethanol around here ,but it is dirt cheap 5$ a for a 800ml bottle of 95%,but i think ISO works quite the same ,honestly i've never messed with it.

You wouldn't really want to ingest unevaporated ISO, but ethanol works great for tinctures.
Ethanol works better for dewaxing than ISO too, but they don't really sell it around here.

The reason behind those low prices on ethanol is the fact the more than the half of the people here ,brew their own liquor and pharmaceutical industry has to keep prices low, otherwise no one will buy it ,lol
Good info on the ISO, i didnt know it is harmful for oral consumption .

1. Forget about ISO. No need.
2. Grind the ABV in a coffee grinder to make it a powder so that it mixes well.
3. Stir 1/2 rounded teaspoon (.25 gram) ABV into a full tablespoon peanut butter. This will mask the taste of the ABV and provide fat to bind to the ABV. Almond butter works almost as well.
4. Spread on toast or a toasted waffle (my favorite flavor is cinnamon).
5. Do this up to an hour before bedtime and you will have your sleeping concentrate.
6. You may need a larger dose at the risk of tasting the ABV or using more butter.

The most important thing if this doesn't work for you is to send the ABV to me for testing.

whats the efgect of a topical ?
There is very little psychoactive effects, but it has very good healing properties.. ,speeds up skin regenation and is making it shiny and healthy .Coconut oil has its own healing properties which complement the qualities of the extract very well. :)) It is good for scars and also antifungal, anti inflammatory. ,my gf also uses it to relief skin irritation from epilation :)
------------------------------------------------------
As for the post above advising to eat it straight. You can do this only if you know it was pure herb that you were vaping. I would never ingest ABV ,just because of the overfertilization practices and the shit they spray on plants and environmental dirt .Also it has to be stored in a hygienic manner ,and then again i would never ingest years old product, just because there might contain some lifeforms which are just about to invent the wheel thanks to their years long evolution :D.

I doubt that some have made a study specifically for the ABV salves ,but i bet there are many for full spectrum extract salves.
Anyway i have no experience with it in the pain relief field, but i bet others do ,cause there are quite a few threads with various preparation techniques on the forum. http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/pain-relief-abv-massage-oil.13588/ You might try to hit the search with keywords ABV salve ,topical, pain relief. or just wait till someone with experience chimes in this thread .

Yes . Just make sure u use Virgin Coconut oil it is both good for eating and topicals. This recipe from the video is also good i guess, but what i dont like about it ,is that it heats all the coconut which causes degradation of its healing properties. While with extract you can dissolve it in just few spoons and mix them with unheated coconut oil which would further complement the healing powers and is also healthier that way for ingestion and skin

I use ABV infused coconut oil to make a pain salve. It's just coconut oil, arnica oil and a bit of beeswax to firm it up a bit. I also add some essential oils that target pain as well.

Good stuff for muscule pain.

a loved one of mine as severe muscular arthritis back pain.
she has to use strong immune suppressors to cope with the inflammation causing the pain.

topical weed coconut oil could be a good help, dont you think.

shall i use ABV only or mix it with unvaped bud ?

Yes. I've used ABV plus unvaped non-decarboxilated weed together with good results. It has no psychoactive effects buts cuts through pain. I hope you try it and have good results.

ABV + unvaped buds
in cocontoil
plus beeswax

slow cook weed in coco until dark green (8h)
melt beeswax
mix wax with weed-coco-oil

let cool

should be solid salve then, right ?

lets say 20g ABV and 10g unvaped buds
how much coco and how much beeswax for this amount ?

I really want to create something.
could be at least one good thing for others out of my weed-addiction.

I used a Mota Pot Cannabis Oil process to create cannabis infused coconut oil with half ABV and half cured unvaped bud. The result definitely kills moderate pain.

I'm not sure how strong my infusion is; whether my approach was over kill or not. It took a few batches to use all the weed in the Mota. So I used the same coconut oil over and over with a fresh batch of weed until the half ounce was used up. I put the ground weed through the Mota Pot twice.

This is the recipe I used for this batch and its wonderful.

Squiby's Pain Salve

1/2 cup cannabis infused coconut oil ~ instructions below
1/2 cup arnica infused oil ~ purchased from Amazon
6 tsp beeswax
4 drops each of:
Thyme essential oil
Peppermint essential oil
Ginger essential oil
Rosemary essential oil
10 drops each of:
Eucalyptus essential oil
Wintergreen essential oil

Melt cannabis infused coconut oil in a small pot over low heat. Add beeswax to melt and stir to blend. Add arnica infused oil. Stir to blend. Place a tiny bit on cold refrigerated plate. The salve will firm up. If it's not firm enough for your liking, add more beeswax and test again. When satisfied with the consistency, remove from heat and cool slightly. Add essential oils, stir to blend and pour into containers. I use salve tins. Once cool, add lid to seal.

Rub on painful area and wait about 10 to 30 minutes for effects to begin.

Infused Cannabis Oil:
7 grams of ABV
7 grams of cured unvaped trim\bud
1/2 cup coconut oil

There are many ways to infused coconut oil. I used a Mota Pot. A Mota Pot is a stove top pressure espresso maker. Fill the reserviour half full of coconut oil and half full of water. Fill the coffee chamber with finely ground cured weed or ABV. Assemble pot and place on high heat. When gurgling begins, turn off the heat and wait a few minutes to cool. Disassemble, pour oil water mixture back into pot and repeat.

Pour finished infused water/oil mixture into a bowl. Refrigerate. The coconut oil will rise to the top and solidify. All your goodies are in the oil. Remove the puck of coconut oil and discard the water. Use the infused coconut oil in topical recipe of choice.

I have never experienced the pain killing proberties of cannabis.
sure, i get the high and the stone but i never used it to "kill" pain.
it is almost as if it intensifies my emotions. good and bad ones.
so consuming when in physical pain has never occured to me.

but this is topicals which dont get you high and we speak about chronic pain.
how can one imagine the anti pain proberties of this salves ?
does it numb the area it is applied to?
hard to imagine how it works.

some drugs are able to be uptaken in the bloodstream through the skin.
but thc is none of those.
how does it work?
it does not enter the bloodstream, ok, i get that.
but where does the salve take the effect.
what does it do?
