help me out, my friend. Nib tip? You mean the tip on the Liger carb cap. Truth is that I never really use the master set tips....the simple flat blade dab tool and the Ti paper clip are what I use most.

I have used the scoop tip with crumble, though. That one is handy to have.

Does CCA710 not make them anymore?

Yeah the one from the v2 master set. as far as I know they do not offer that particular tip anymore for sure and i actually think the v2 set may have had 1 or 2 more not currently available tips.

Currently using the MiniNail stand this way. It works but just not that easy to get on and off the stand.

USPS is saying i should receive my Sapphire Insert Saturday!! Pretty good for CCA as I ordered on Monday. I just order the Hurricane Master set since i had the $25 VIP rewards points. That should be a few weeks.

Any news about the 20mm plates? Suppose to ship this week and it's already Friday. No shipping information yet. CCA said they would keep in touch. I sent another email today to see if there was any change in schedule or delays. Wondering if anyone else may have heard some word about them.

A plate, dish, insert, its all the same. lol I am assuming that is what @TheLion is trying to say.

And i would also guess hes speaking about the Obsidian plate as well. lol I am sure they will be in touch once its ready to ship but the site does still state Flat Coils Shipping NOW - 20mm will ship in 7-14 days

I just received it and i thought they had a haze or frost to it like the pics on the site.

Completely clear.
Polishing has improved.
My beta version is milky like the D-Nail Sapphire offerings.
My production sapphire insert does have a slight concentric pattern that one can see if the insert is clean.
If you have a Quartz insert already, the Sapphire insert should be noticeably heavier.

Yep, mostly clear and awfully heavy for its size.

I'll check why the pics aren't showing. It's probably because I have been using my phone instead of surfacepro. I'll try to fix it when I get home.

Looks to me as if whoever is hosting your images doesn't want you to eat their bandwidth up by hotlinking.

received my 30mm Obsidian insert on Friday. Was a fun weekend!

I kinda see why most of you said you preferred the 20mm Liger the most. The 30mm is fun as hell and looks awesome, but I definitely feel like I got milkier chugs with my 16mm. So I can see how the 20mm is probably the happy medium. On my 30mm I have been using the CCA StormCell to get the concentrate to melt onto the insert (and not allowing any vapor to escape), and then I switch over to the Wierdeer titty cap and go to work.

Anyway enough about the 30mm, I think the Obsidian is great. But, as others said, not TOO much of a difference between this and the SiC. Taste is on par, but the cleanup on the Obsidian is an absolute breeze.

you need a really good carb cap for the 30mm to truly shine... i've heard mixed feedback on the wierdeer caps. some dont seal as well as others.

i use a chad bro terp trunk that i had a local glass blower modify to make the spigot on the bottom less curved and point more downwards into the insert rather than at the liger wall.. with this cap. i've been super satisfied with my 30mm and have stopped considering switching to a 20mm.

FYI, My sapphire insert cracked after 10 or so dabs. Like literally within 2 hours of use. After a dab, i thought it was puddling in the corner and after a bunch of failed qtip wipes, i grabbed a flashlight and yes, its a crack. I spoke with CCA and should get a replacement. And i just found out i can still use it cracked! I stopped using it right away too.

Besides my new Sapphire cracking, my Yankees lost Game 7 which just made my Saturday pretty shitty.

They didnt show up Saturday, was awful. We did have a hell of a season, so much fun to watch that playoff run. Looks like we are set up for a long run of being in the hunt. #28 soon! Lets go Yankees!

Long time lurker here, my sincere thanks to everyone on the forum for their insight into the purchasing process, troubleshooting the air intake, and carb cap solutions. You guys convinced me to join the CCA party, and have guided me in dialing in my 30mm experience ever since. Shout out to @Danksta your posts were esp. useful!

I wanted to write a quick post regarding carb caps. I got a free hurricane cap with my order when it came, but I found it less than optimal in use. I’ve heard great things about chadbro’s terp trunk, the weirdeer caps, and zachbrownglass’s customs - but I’ve seen comments on this forum that each cap has its faults. The newest terp trunks don’t have the best angle, the wierdeer caps sometimes don’t fit and can make a mess, and zachbrownglass was just starting to dial in his process. I’ve approached a couple different Instagram artists for customs, but found that prices were higher for a potentially riskier fit. I’d rather not spend $75+ on an unsatisfying cap, so I’ve been waiting and watching. I found a 50mm bubble cap on DHGate, but the directional airflow was too big for the Liger.

Recently found these caps on DHgate, my order was under $6, the caps came in today. I won’t be able to try them out until I get home tonight, but at first look both caps are just a bit larger than the 30mm Liger and rest on top perfectly. One of the caps has a directional airflow that isn’t angled well, but the other has a great angle pointing right into the SiC dish.

So I'm an idiot and had the air intake pipe screwed in too far into the bucket, and that was preventing all my caps from getting an air tight seal. It was a quick fix and now I'm loving this Wierdeer cap!

I will take a pic of the crack sapphire tonight and post it. I think i finally fixed my pics.

As for this Sapphire Inserts. I do like it. I spent the night using it a lot. It actually fits me better than the SiC insert in terms of the vape and flavor. The vape seems less condense and smoother than SiC with about a 20% to 40% more flavor depending on what i was dabbing, sauce or shatter or badder. Normally with the SiC, my first hit would be huge and the second would be half with a lot less flavor. The Sap seems to give me two full hits with the same dab but both taste the same.

If this insert was not so fragile, i would say this is a must buy at $300 for most people as it is a improvement and noticeable but not mind blowing.
