Well this is freaking embarassing and I'm not going to hide it. I f'd my coil trying to get the FP cleaned before the sesh. I feel bad I've wasted everyone's time.
Regardless it does perform way better than any other rigI own. @invertedisdead it's got a nice amount of restriction and a chug. Once I get a new coil I will make a video. It really is pretty freaking great when it works.
Lesson I learned never torch and heat up the coil at the same time.
Shit happens. We move on.

So how do you mean? Your coil has been running hot but reading too low since you fucked it with the torching? Or you just did this in the last day or so?

Just got the new Carb cap ordered & that sweet looking Carb cap holder I see a few members using. Can’t wait ....
What are the absolute minimum parts I need to experience the insert dab on quartz or sic? Just the inserts and this? I guess there is a different nut too? But coil cover same?
The bottom part it screws into is a different size on the OGFP and the SH, IIRC.

Btw, did I see you ask for differences ppl found with the OGFP and SH? If so... Due to circumstances, I used the OGFP (16mm) for a month, then the SH for a month, then went back to the OGFP for a month (16mm), now back on the SH again since getting the SC. The main difference I found for flower is that the heat is more concentrated on a centre path with the OGFP, the edges dont get the heat as much, and/or the flower swirled in the bowl at times (i think im remembering this right). Those were some of the reasons the SH was developed in the first place, to get round those issues.

Yeah I usually get a denser hit on the 3rd hit doing nice sized bowls if I remove the FP from the rig and tap it on the table a couple times to jostle the herb around. I've just incorporated that into my routine and it's working great. Probably why I havent pulled the trigger on the SH, seems I wouldnt really change my current routine up much but I'm not sure. I need one of my local cannabis friends to buy one and let me try it =)
Likely less draws needed per bowl (arguably enabling lower temps, too high to properly think that through right now
), and no need to stir, all worth it for me

I also agitate the herb (I stir with my Bamboo skewer debowler...) after the 2nd draw. I get way more visible vapor doing it that way.
I haven't really found all that much difference (with the ShowerHead) stirring after the first draw... but I still do it anyways sometimes.

(I always stir, because I have to make sure that bowl is def finished, cant waste anyway! But I also know I can drain a bowl without stirring
Versatile bastard that it is )EDIT: In other news, I'm very down with the low temp dabs that I've not been able to manage recently. 525f dabs I'm very, very happy with now. Chill double deckers for sure, or with a superfast inhale, more milk. Takes a while for the dish to stop producing vapour so probably best for smaller dabs. At 560f, those same dabs were pretty amazing last night. Decent milk.

So long as its a 16mm or 20mm barrel coil, appropriate to your choice of FP, yes... but just out of interest, why choose that one on DHgate instead of the NV approved one?
