Oh-mi-gosh, she has finally arrived in the land down under! Scorching hot day, too hot to do much other than play with the new toy. :) I reckon she's absolutely beautiful, exactly what I was hoping for.

Almost too pretty to use! I'm over the moon, thank you Matt and everyone at DynaVap HQ!

Oh, and the PyroVap seemed to go down well with my better half.. which is nice, but I'm kinda distracted right now. ;)

Early on, this year, @VapCap sent @Choughed a couple of "fired up" 'Caps. & an engraved cap, to boot.
She's wisely bailed from further VAS! For the time being, anyway....

I've been stoked for a greener, since. TQ! @stardustsailor. :D

Anyone know where to get parts besides straight from DynaVap? I think I want to replace my SS tip with a titanium tip and the $7 shipping is quite high.... Thanks!

For a more uniform result, while keeping it "stupid-simple" regarding home made anodisation for the masses.

Secret #1 : Degrease thourougly the parts you're going to anodise.
Isopropyl alcohol will do ,acetone is much better option ,while leaving the parts in
concentrated hot lye (sodium hydroxide ) solution for 10' is the best (industrial grade ) .

Secret#2:
Bronze color is achieved by dipping the Ti parts inside boiling hot de -ionized water.
A bit ( ~ 10% vol. )of pharmacy grade hydrogen peroxide (3% vol . ) inside the boiling water ,
will boost color saturation.

Secret #3 :
Alternative to "torching" ( heat oxidation and not "anodising" ) for a more uniform
and even colored surface is hydrogen peroxide .
You need the really concentrated hydrogen peroxide for the job .
The one used in hair dressing salons ( > 30% vol ).
After degreasing your parts ,just dip them in hydrogen peroxide
and leave the Ti parts to soak overnight.
Next morning they are going to be purple.
With a little "boost" with a torch ,dark blue
can also be achieved .

Cheers.

Do you mean Pipes' PS IH to better than the Jarhead you already have? Please explain why? :)
Pure function? Identical. Utility? The Portside will travel pretty easily....not pocket size, but packable. The portability factor just raises the level. And just take it anywhere in the house with you. I live in a 3 level townhome, and use all three levels for living and much of my work. Just being able to grab the PS and a couple of caps and head downstairs to the studio for a few hours is just sublime, ‘cause now you practically have it all......convenience, function, effect. Hope I’m making sense, already waked and vaped, now baked.

Well, the "jersey" could have been a hint to me, sorry... :)
I unfortunately only know EU sources for parts, hopefully someone else will chime in!

@jerseydvd
You could ask Randy @PuffItUp to stock some, demand meets $. He's really an upstanding member
of the hu-mans. & a oh yes shipping from Puffitup is nada....

(& a open hint. Day after tucky day is feeding frenzy day @ DVFC I think

Yes Yes you assume right. Quick clean with some iso will be good.... I keep forgetting that when I receive something new, I immediately try to use it most of the time.

Am I happy with the SB M and the Omni? Yes, but VAS just got and I’ve bought a beautiful Ti Woody-XLS: Blackwood Stem, Double Crown. Can’t wait.
Do you guys think I should’ve gone with the Omnivong? IMO I find it kind of ugly so I went my with Woody. What do you think?

looks like my Omni will arrive today. The anticipation is killing me! Start with a small piece of flower or ground material? I am assuming a quick clean of all parts is required?

Definitely clean it first. With some iso and a couple q-tips it only takes a minute. Rinse it out after and run a dry q tip through a couple times to dry it. Ready to go in under 5 minutes easy!

Are you more interested in getting more hits, with more flavor? Then a piece of a bud would be ideal for you!

Are you more interested in clouds? Or full extraction in as few hits as possible? Then ground herb would likely be ideal for you!

Enjoy! The omni is the bestest LOL

@alex91 I think you should always get what you personally prefer... But i also like the more streamline look of the woodys compared to the vongs.

No need at all for the vong bodies. You can just use a simple food grade o-ring of the right thickness.

My custom glass caps are thicker than stock bodies (non-vongs), but all I need to use in my 10-14mm water joints is a small o-ring on the tip. Works perfect.

Here is my new SB-M and Ti units.

Just use an O-RING on the mouthpiece to make your vapcaps fit into your bubbler/bong joints...now THAT needs to be in the “Best of” thread! And why didn’t I think of that? :hmm:
Just brilliant!

@Squiby should I expect better performance outdoors with a metal tip? Maybe I need an Omnivong!
I think that the titanium tips might perform better outdoors compared to the stainless steel. I say this because titanium will heat up quicker and cool quicker than the stainless steel tips. Outdoors vaping requires a spot out of the wind and a nice quad lighter. YMMV.

I vape outdoors daily. I dont care for being inside and spend most the day outside, in the woods, or in my shop. Me and my dog also hike a minimum of 2 miles every evening through the woods and dirt trails by my house. Hiking and vaping go hand in hand.

I agree... A single flame is not ideal outdoors. I use the cyclone triple and that works well. I have yet to try a quad. I need to! Might be better when on the boat fishing or bowfishing. Gets windy on the water!

I honestly dont notice much difference in heat up times between the M and omni when outdoors... I'm not really timing them either... But neither one takes a long time imo. I use both outdoors often. Sometimes i take both on a hike... Preloaded... And go back to back with each.

Vapcap hack # 272

Tru-spec 24/7 pants were made for vapcaps. They have 2 pockets that are the exact perfect size for the vapcap tubes... Actually designed for small flashlights i think but they couldn't fit the tubes any better if they planned it.

Before the military i did some volunteer firefighting. Between the 2 i got hooked on tactical cargo pants. These days all i wear is tru-spec and 5.11 pants.
