@emmdeemo had problems with his dhgate controller/coil... as far as I remeber they end him a new one...
but I am alos not up to date I was busy the last days and could kot read this thread... sorry if you answered already but did dhgate solve your problem @emmdeemo ...

also @Omphilreal please keep us up to date how dhgate solves/solved your problem...

I only once checked my dhgate controller and nail, if it works... I am still waiting ( for my fp it is in the customs msince 26th september) to receive my fp it is still in customs.... fu**
From what I have heard @emmdeemo has been treated very well by the sellers in question. They did send him a replacement controller no hassle, except it arrived in a beaten up broken shape.

He has since contacted them again and they have sent another one now, no hassle. So they they do appear to be good at honouring their word and making it right. We will have to wait and see what condition the new replacement will be in, but hopefully these are just rare instances and they will prove to be a reliable consistent provider for controllers for us Europeans.

Almost there...
I was reminded of one of the limitations of the FP last night. I was hoping to impress my buddy @Terpstar and am pretty sure I DIDN'T.

Some rigs work nice with the FP, most don't in my experience. Even tubes are not that great. It wasn't until I used the fab egg that I saw the true beauty of my FP.

The smaller rigs will milk up and look decent on video but you get a smaller hit because of the can.

Tubes are angled wrong and it seems to take too long to build up vapor.

The fab egg seems to create some sort of vaccum that helps with vapor production. I'm pissed I didn't bring it with me for last nights sesh.

You get the best hit when it's one big hit. Taking a slow long hit from a small can is not a big hit at once IMO.

I'm not trying to dampen the mood but I can't recommend this vape to anyone unless I try the FP with the rigs they already own.

It's just too hit or miss.

EDIT: It hurt to post this, but these are the facts IMO.

I am with you on this as well!
Also not sure what the issue is.
I tried a smaller WT the other dayand iy was def not nearly as cloudy as my daily driver tube!
Thinking with smaller WT's a bump in temp is required.

Why not? My main dab rig is 5"

Because it's not a big enough can to get a BIG vapor hit. You are just taking a long hit. I feel there is a HUGE difference in a Big vs Long hit. When I clear the egg I get a much much larger hit than any of those small cans. You get higher by taking as huge a rip as you can IMO. I only get the head rushes from the egg.

You could impress someone who hasn't vaped in a long time with the FP and these small cans. I was impressed at first but that was because I haven't owned a vape since my UD.

You could impress a n00b no doubt.

But I was not able to impress my friend enough for him to say "yes this is better than my current vape by leaps and bounds".

And I have to agree. Only once I used the egg did this device truly shine.

I'd like to see some comparison videos with EVO owners using the same cans and seeing the milk. I feel the EVO can be used on just about any rig from the videos I've seen. The FP is hit or miss. Therefore it would be terrible advice for me to recommend it. That pisses me off as I love mine and want everyone to have the same experience. The problem is this experiences differs from rig to rig too much. I don't want friends to get pissed when they drop all this money only to realize non of their rigs work well with this.

I don't want this to turn into a fight, but we should have a civil conversation about the EVO and FP. I'm glad I went for the FP, but other folks might be better suited with the EVO.

Thanks for sharing your impressions. Would it make sense to collect all proofed WT beside the fab egg?

Will be making a purchase for the new shower cap carb cap today!

@NewVape710 I plan on purchasing your fine grinder on Black Friday and was wondering if you guys have something to dump pre grinded material in since your grinder is a 2 piece?

I'm currently dumping into a mason jar but would like a high quality newvape piece to go with all my other NV pieces :brow:

when vending flowerpot hits at the cannabis cups we learned the dabtender must be paying attention, and feather the carbcap for that customer's individual draw strength. I will agree each rig does require a bit of getting dialed in for maximum flowerpot pleasure. I like to judge a vape's success by the daily driver conversion factor. I've yet to hear anyone say they stopped using the showerhead as their desktop daily driver flower vape.

Run Forrest, ruuuuuun!! LOL :brow:;)

I ain't scurred. haha

I'd love to see you make some, I know you own both. We don't have to make this a competition, just an experiment so we don't recommend the wrong vape to people.

A LOT of folks can't afford to buy something that will not meet their needs. I always thought this was the place to go to figure out the answers folks need. I think we could do this without being rude to each other.

Fingers crossed.

Feel free to send my buddy @Terpstar a loner to win him over. I feel my love for the FP grows each day. Day 1 was nothing like my days are now. Without lending a friend gear it's hard to convince them to part with $100s of their money.

FP fills a niche for those of us with patience and who love to fine tune things. I love it. I REALLY do. I want to convert people and gain this thread more cult members. But I def failed last night.

Sucks it doesn't work great on any rig.

I guess I don't see why can size matters as long as your lungs get the big hit? Unless your talking about oxygen deprivation, which is usually something we relate to those seeking a combustion experience. I've used my showerhead in everything from heady recyclers, to straight tubes, up to an 18" beaker. What rig were you using that left you so dissapointed? Are you still using really low temps like 550 uncarbed?

FYI today I've tried to order ti mesh screens and a ti brush at Errlectric. Wanted to pay it with a German paypal account/cc and intended to let it deliver to an US adressee for bring it along to Germany by friends. No way! Billing adress and shipment adress have to be the same - fuck it!

Around 40$ :o for international shipment for a letter with a weight of 10-20 gr.?? It's more than expensive already w/o shipment but that would be REALLY crazy. :freak:

There is a big difference IMO. A bigger can = a bigger hit. That's just commonsense no? Not trying to argue, btw just not sure you get what I mean.

The tubes work if you fill it with a slow draw, exhale and take another slow draw. That's too much work IMO.

I don't get that at all. All they gotta do is mail you a bday card with a screen inside.

Sorry, but no...it doesn't make any sense to me either. To me, logically, the size of the hit would depend on draw rate and draw duration.....air coming into the FP and air going out of the water piece and into your lungs.

Aside from having more vapor to clear after lifting the head, I don't see where can size would make a difference.

Doesn't mean it doesn't, just means I can't understand why this would be.

Why were we using 6foot bongs back in the day? Bigger tube bigger hit (if the bowl is phat).

I'm with you @invertedisdead. My rig is tiny and a recycler so no big can to fill up with vapor. My lungs are the big can! I get enormous hits, seriously, way bigger than my portables. If I wasn't vaping in a den and had nice lighting, etc, you'd be able to see some serious clouds in my videos.

Even for domestic shipping they could offer much cheaper shipping on those just for standard mail.

Instead you only get to pick 2day priority which comes in those like 2x6in boxes... such a waste for 2 screens,a packing slip and a sticker lol

Yep, domestic USPS has a limit of I think 12 or 13 ounces for first class. Costs about $3, the small flat rate priority boxes are like double or more. 1 extra day wait with first class compared to priority, for domestic. First Class international is generally around 20-25$ and I think you can go up to about 2lbs for that price.

EDIT: Part of the problem for a lot of companies shipping international, there is no signature confirmation and a customer can claim no delivery. Sometimes you cant even pay for insurance on the package. Our company has been ripped off a number of times internationally and we recently had to stop processing payments from Russia as we were getting a lot of fraud there.

If I gave you a 1/4 gram dab out of a 5" rig then another out of a 10" rig you think you would get a bigger hit out of the 10 inch? I see lung size and amount of cannabinoids being the bottleneck, not the water filter.

Personally I have tiny lungs, that video that was all one rip, but I had to go back for another to completely clear it. I'm sure @biohacker would have cleared it in one. I never used giant pieces in my combustion days though. My buddy had a 4 ft zong but I always thought it was too much work to hit.

I think the Showerhead has so much airflow, that for some rigs uncapped it direct injects right into the lungs instead of milking the piece.

Why were we using 6foot bongs back in the day?

To cool the vapor and because we were stoned and bigger seemed better to the point of absurd?

Like I said, the FP ain't exactly like a bong hit where we pre-fill a tube and then yank the slide bowl off and clear it and the clearing is the main part of the hit. At least not to me at all. To me, its more like an oil rig....air into the FP and vapor out into my lungs, the longer I draw the more I get until the load is cashed.

BUT, as I said, I haven't used the FP with any very small rigs but will give it a try when I have a chance. There is nothing like empirical evidence and right now I'm just speculating.
