Dear @WoodVillain had the exact same thing happen with a PIU order; nothing to do with their top-notch service. After leaving the Nevada USPS, it took the scenic route for 4 days to arrive at Chicago USPS depot, which is where all my US stuff usually departs. My package too scanned every day as on its way. It was so weird because that would usually be 1 day, 2 tops. Once to Chicago, everything else was normal but it took a total 5 days to get there. But none of this helps you much, sorry.

I think the package was so small it got misplaced somewhere. I know, I know, that's what she said...:rofl:

The tracking info is funny too... At exactly 0911, for 3 days straight, it was scanned as "on it's way" but no location given? Weird.

My Sandblasted M (sbM) arrived today. Mailed on Sept 29th, it entered Canada and sat in Customs for over a week before moving on. I actually thought that it might be lost in the mail. But it's here now, its lovely and all ill thoughts towards Customs delays are forgiven and forgotten.

My sbM arrived in a small plain white padded envelope protected by green Dynavap doobtube.

The main difference between the classic M and this limited edition sbM is of course that the stem, cap and tip exterior are sandblasted to a matte finish. But the sbM cannot be described as dull. Indoors it appears to be a soft dove grey with the tiniest hint of stardust mixed in. Go outside and that stardust explodes in the sunshine.

I had imagined that the sandblasted surface texture would be slightly rough but that is not the case. The sandblasting does indeed offer more grip; a helpfull feature while twirling. The surface texture could be described as smooth as satin. It is very pleasing to handle. Soft almost. I find myself absent mindedly twirling between my fingers. The finish appears to be tough and not likely to be easily scuffed.

After a few heating cycles there is a tiny bit of discoloring. I'm not sure if there has been an improvement in the cap design but the click is louder and more distinct than my other Vapcaps. The stainless steel tip also fits tighter in the stem compared to my other Ms. This may the result of the grey orings used and they compliment the sbM nicely.

The sbM offers all the great features of the classic M and another series of modular bits to thrill the LEGO stoner.

The limited edition Sandblasted M is definitely a Vapcap collectors item. I bet it doesn't last long.

What about those new vong's bodys and stems? What do you guys think?
Prefer the old ones, hope to still be able to get it .

The chunk can be also used as means of defence against an incoming bear raid !

Very cool idea!

I have fires going a few times a week during fall and winter.

Have one going now in fact... So i grabbed a couple coals and used them to heat the VC.. It wasn't real fast, had to go 2-3 seconds past the click to get good vapor... And blowing on the coals while rotating the cap on them wasn't exactly as convenient as a torch... But it worked! And after rotating the cap for a few seconds it forms a prefect groove in the coal... which makes it easier.

Also tried an iso penny can stove to heat the VC... which worked decent as well.

I'll still stick with my torch, and portside when it arrives... But it's nice having so many options!

The body will fit the Omnivap, but is too short for an M. That would require a stem. Check the compatibility chart on the Dynavap website under the FAQ tab. Excellent resource for understanding how Stoner Legos fit together.

Also, a Nonavong stem is a great first accessory for an M, as it allows a very elegant way to enjoy the M through a 14mm water piece.

Mail came this morning... No sbM again. The last scanned location is still the origin state of WI on the 12th.

So i called usps.. After 81 minutes of being on the phone they tell me they are not sure of its location currently.. They said they'd do an inquiry on it and see if they can locate it... But if there's still no updates by Monday the sender should file a claim on it...

I'm hoping the inquiry is enough to give it a push this way...

We probably shouldn't be complaining... I reckon you guys across the pond have a much longer wait, usually, and have to pay more.

I have a bunch of buddies in Australia that collect knives... I'm talking expensive full custom, Busse, Randall etc. Knives ranging from $300 to over $1000 bucks. But shipping and taxes also added to the hurt... Each box cost around $60-90 to ship insured depending on blade size. Some of these were short swords too... But it didn't cost more for multiple blades if using priority flat rate boxes..

So for a while they all had their knives shipped to me, from 2-20 blades per month... for a couple years. I'd consolidate them into 1 box per 10 blades and save them hundreds!

But i was doing it for free... Not charging anything at all and it was a big responsibility.. Thousands of dollars in knives every month... And i was always worried boxes would go missing and I'd be blamed... That never happened but still.. When i moved back to Florida i stopped doing it.

I'm waiting since the 28th of august. My order arrived in Frankfurt/ Germany 5 days later on the 1st of September and now it's somehow stucked in the german bureaucracy.
I talked to customs, the local post agency, DHL and Dynavap but nobody knows what happend to my Omnivong Blackwood :(

The last event on 17track.net is:
2017-09-20 18:00 Hamburg, The shipment has been processed in the parcel center of origin

1. Why vaporize at all - smoke has a plethora of dangerous compounds in it. Vaporizing reduces harm to your lungs by removing...

2. Torch Placement - Torch placement is important for determining the temperature of the bud. Pointing the torch on the bottom end will produce harsher/bigger hits while point at the top will result in smoother/tastier hits.

Who has not grinded notches in the end of their Sandblasted M? I just got mine in the mail today after ordering Sat. afternoon.

Now I need to go into my work shop and put this SS tip in a glass body with a drip tip. I am wondering if this tip is exact same thing as the normal M has been this year? This is the first time I have seen the SS tip. I was surprised to see the CCD mounted so deep in the tip end compared to the 3 setting notches in the Ti tips.

Soooooo..... so I just go ahead and grind 3 notches in the tip end like my Ti tip? Just asking if this is the same need as the past M design. Thanks for your opinions and result info.

As far a function is concerned, an M is an M is an M. If you want increased airflow under the cap to create greater convection, you can grind the top of the channels with a small file.
