@NewVape710, et al,

Well, still using my new FP Shower Head and still a very happy customer.

@emmdeemo - I do have a scale with precision to three decimal places and did weigh up some loads.

I'm finding that .1 - .15 g is a very good load size for me. I did weight and vape a .05 g load, got one very nice draw from it and a bit of wisp and it was cashed.

I started with my FP on a 65 mm can, stemless, bubbler on a drop down at 640 F. Now, as said, I'm a @mutten840 disciple and my coil is very tight on the head. Not sure if that will make as much difference as it does on enails, but it and the coil cover should keep my set point and actual temps fairly pretty close (and no, I'm not taking the K-type TC thermo to it like I did with the D-nail...very time consuming and in the end, who cares...just use a set point that works and don't worry about absolute temp).

So, 640 worked very well. I definitely use the SC all of the time as I like the concept of boiling point depression that lower pressure will give.

I tried at 590 without the cap and was not impressed.

My current temps are running in the 610-620 range but there is more to explore. 640 will drain the load, no doubt, but seemed a bit hot and harsh. 620 was much better IME.

My one issue, and one that Edwyn has acknowledged and committed to fix somehow, is my male body sticking in the drop down ALWAYS. It is definitely temp related as if I let it cool down completely it comes free easy. But when hot, the only way to empty this sucker is to take the whole drop down off with the SH firmly attached and empty it that way. Bud, the Vape Critic, has a female body but has also found that it sticks to his male joints (I know, that doesn't make great sense but that's what he told me). I like male fittings in female glass joints. I just wish it didn't stick. My Liger and D-nail don't and they are both male so I'm sure that this is solvable and that Edwyn will nail it on an improvement.

I have no used it for concentrates and probably will not dab off of the Ti (have other nails for that) but love it for herb.

I did buy a few of the Ti mesh screens from Errlectric but am still using a plain old Ti screen cause it works fine and any particulants that get through seem to be caught in the water of my glass.

I do use the hemp wick handle and in fact have bought three of those handles over the last year or so as I have them on my Liger and D-nail also. I like them very much.

I would definitely go for a carb cap if purchasing again. Yes, you can use really almost anything (shot glass, for example) but I do like the SC and think it fits on the SH very intuitively. I have had no problem seating it whatsoever (believe someone else posted that this wasn't the case for them, but to me it just pops on right every time).

The EVO and the FP are my hard hitting desk tops and I'm perfectly happy and all of my needs are fulfilled by these two devices.

Congrats, Edwyn....really nice product. :tup::nod::rockon::clap:

@emmdeemo :rofl:

Here's a micro approx 0.025g coarse ground. It literally just covered the inside middle of the screen. 690f.

Okay that's enough testing for the day! :lmao:

#newvapetapout

Very educational, thanks mate
PS love this glass

CATCHY NAME NEEDED??

We will offer a generous upgrade for existing showercap & lollicap customers for the cap only. The dabber remains the same scoop. It's heading to the newVape R&D test bunker and should be available by wednesday.
It's very light and will balance with dabber in horizontal position.

my order i suppose was sent today, i would be tempted to put an extra budget on this :D...
it looks wonderful, congrats:clap:

Re: sticking bowls.

I own a full set of FlowerPot bowls, including triples of the Female bowl.
I've used my (literally) dozens of glass pieces with those bowls in all kinds of configurations... and I have found the following to be true:

ALL of the various types of FlowerPot bowls CAN and DO stick to various glass joints, but the Male bowls (both 14mm and 18mm) stick more frequently and stay stuck longer as they cool down than the Female bowls do.

I have found that resin on the glass joint in almost ANY quantity will cause the female bowl to get stuck more frequently, so keep the glass joint and mating bowl surface clean if using Female bowls folks!

The one and ONLY thing that seems to really contribute to both types of bowls sticking is the HEAT from the FlowerPot head... something about the thermal expansion of the glass and metal seems to be causing the problem. Seating the bowl properly, using various amounts of downward force, and other fidgeting is completely FUTILE in preventing sticking... once the heat is applied, it will either stick or not, and our actions seem to have very little if any effect on the whole situation.

For first time FlowerPot users, I highly recommend the Female 14/18 bowl, if you can make it work with your various glass pieces with adapters, etc.

This conclusion is based on literally THOUSANDS of fittings/unfittings with my various FlowerPot bowls and glass pieces... I've seriously run this stuff through the paces and have solid results to base these conclusions and recommendations upon.

Good luck! :)

@NewVape710 Apologies for being a pest. Is there any way I can bypass this:

I see other international people have had problems such as this but seemed to have had them resolved. Possible? Many thanks.

try with a free vpn service ... many of them are free, like hoxx (i don't know if there are other better)...and choose an USA ip...incredible how some countries still discriminates...

Thanks for the tips.

I'm wondering, If I were to use a 14mm male bowl, with a 14mm to 18mm adapter, into an 18mm water piece.. If the bowl gets hot and stuck, would it still freely come out of the water piece, but with the 14mm to 18mm adapter attached to the bowl?

Hope that makes sense.

In my limited experience, it seems like my 18mm male bowl tends to stick much more willingly in more perfect joints, while china joints are often not perfect, allowing for them to be wiggled loose easier.. Granted, I've only had mine for maybe a week and a half, but I've already ran ~20g through it, and my china piece doesn't stick nearly as bad as any perfect joint does... the more perfect the joint the more time you can expect to wait IMO.. I've been able to wiggle my bowl loose quick enough even w/ the head on for a few mins.. I guess a somewhat solution for this could be an imperfect joint on the Male bowls so they can be wiggled loose easier (like the male joint on the Cloud/EVO).. or just using a china piece w/ an imperfect joint :shrug:

Yes, that's what I said in my post above...I use a drop down instead of an adapter between my FP and glass but whatever it is, the FP will stick there and not cause problems with your glass piece.

I know, I just mean, if there was a small 14mm to 18mm glass adapter in between, maybe you wouldnt have to take out the entire drop down everytime you go to empty the bowl.

Ah, well....but its still stuck into a piece of glass that it shouldn't be stuck in and I still have to take both the FP and the glass together to empty. Not sure I see much advantage to just lifting an adapter/FP vs a drop down/FP but thanks for thinking of me :tup::clap:

I hear @Chicken #420 and he has more experience with his FP than I do. I also hear @Buildozer but I have tried it (18 MM male) in well made USA joints and cheap Chinese knockoffs. I'm not putting it into the hand made joints of my better pieces.

Again, neither the Liger nor the D-nail stick in my experience so this is achievable and I would urge Edwyn to stay the course on his commitment to fixing this.

Cheers all

@emmdeemo , something I have just meaning to share here, in relation to tolerating vapor etc-
With my XL Herborizer, which is actually a pretty gentle and smooth vaporizer on moderate temps, my lungs are much happier when I use the Herborizer Sphere bubbler, which I always fill half way with water, so there is about 3 inches + water depth which I have always preferred myself for extra cooling to reduce irritation.

But when I use the Herborizer with the D 020D, which doesn't hold as much water and has a much lower capacity, the vapor bothers my lungs significantly more, which I am certain is due to the heat.

I am just much happier and more comfortable using the larger sphere then the small bubbler.
This is just my experience of course and I'm not saying that this will be true also for the Flowerpot. Just personally, I get less irritation to use a larger can deeper water.

@biohacker , awsome man, I have been keenly waiting for some "Biohack9" video action! On your 0.1 gram hit above the exhale looked much larger than I would have expected from watching the bubbler, compared to what I'm used to seeing.

I'm wondering if the air flow was actually moving through the bubbler fairly quickly? No need to answer bro, just thinking aloud. I was just surprised to see such a large exhale because it didn't look like there was as much vapor is that on the inhale.

Also I might just be tripping here, and I do imagine shit and come out with some daft thoughts quite often, but am I wrong in thinking that I sense the energy in your home seems so much calmer and more settled now, compared to some of your previous videos?

Obviously there is no sound or speech or anything to indicate this, but it was just a feeling I got.
Anyway great videos man, enough of my nonsense, time to catch up on some more of today's posts!:tup:

@Baron23 Cant remember if I posted this in reply to your post mentioning blow back (you used a different phrase, cant remember what it was now, particles flying back up thru the showerhead), but I meant too. Its been posted before but in the interest of public information :) ....
