The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

CuckFumbustion

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
The one listing for 167.99 says it 'Authorized distributor.' in the bullet points. I don't know Amazon or your seller. But Arizer will only take returns from an "Authorized dealer." The other listed 'Lifetime Warranty.' That can't be right? :hmm:
So if it arrives DOA can you RMA? That is my concern as a person who bought his first EQ from an authorized dealer and RMA'ed it back to Canada for a repair. There wasn't a US A.D. at the time. :bang:

There was an A.D. of Arizer that even did in house repairs, So it didn't always have to go to Canada. Anyone remember? Also Puffitup is a known FC member around here and A.D. of the Arizer.

Herb gardener...
Also from what I've been reading in the last page or two in this thread I can leave the whip attached for ages without it continuing to vape the herb? How does this work? Does it only vape when you start inhaling or turn the fan on or something? I have a DBV and if I leave the whip attached for any length of time I'm left a charred mess lol, thanks.

I accidentally left my eq on and loaded with the @DDave mod, (closer to heater), and went on holiday for 4 days... eq was on 200..

Came back and it was fine... lost a little taste but that was it...

And I just wouldnt buy a vape from amazon...
You can get very competitive deals from known and trusted retailers....

Hey guys I'm thinking of adding the extreme Q to my collection. ......

Be sure and check the FC sponsors page, should be able to match the lowest you saw.

http://fuckcombustion.com/sponsors/

It won't be a charred mess, but heat does rise. And the direct line of sight contributes a lot of radiant heat. If only the bottom of the bowl had a small, lightweight insulating disk that would close when not drawing. Then you would get mostly convection heat. Hmm. Off to the lab. SCIENCE!!

Thanks guys, the cheaper Amazon listing has dropped to $135 :o I have some gift balance on there I want to use so would be even less money out of my pocket which I can put towards Ddave mod :D I'm seriously tempted.. I live in New Zealand so the warranty aspect is slightly different for me to put it in perspective it cost me roughly $100 US in return shipping when I sent my DBV in to get fixed it might be one of those cases where I have to take my chances, living all the way over here I've gotten used to that haha.

I'm still miffed on how it can be so much cheaper? Possibly an older model? I googled the name on the sticker on particular interest to me was the LLC part

"A limited liability company (LLC) is not a separate tax entity like a corporation; instead, it is what the IRS calls a "pass-through entity," like a partnership or sole proprietorship. ... The LLC itself does not pay federal income taxes, but some states impose an annual tax on LLCs."

From what I can gather they wouldn't have to pay taxes like normal companies, might explan how they can sell it for cheaper?

Surely one of the sponsors on here wouldn't match that price?

Puffitup with 15% discount code. $144. The $100.00 return is painful to hear. But like Arizer is in Canada eh? So there is definitely somebody reputable that is closer to the $135.00 mark. Lot of U.S. buyers here that are looking for the things we were mentioning earlier. There are some sponsors on the forum that you can contact and mention your situation in New Zealand. I corresponded with Aroma-Tek 2 years ago and he was very helpful and when I told him my PCB problem, He replied."Well there no sense of mucking about." and went through it with the R.M.A. They are $169.99 on Arizer Extreme Q| Aroma-Tek.com ATM.

Upside is that it is designed to be taken apart and have things like the glass replaced. If you are handy and you ask questions here, some fellow FC can help. There is a lot of repair related posts here with pictures. :science:

The bummer would be a PCB problem. But if you say went with an Authorized Dealer like Puffitup and ended up R.M.A- ed with only a $44 return (as opposed to buying a second) might also mean a returning machine that was looked over twice from the company itself. And shipped via Arizer instead of the same seller (or doubling down with another seller.) :2c: Would the S&H be any better/worse an option to and from Canada?

My EQ was an R.M.A and has served me well. Had it apart several times. but never changed out the glass heat adapter. Which has a heat sensor that goes in it. Taken it apart to clean the fan. etc.

Vape Donkey 650

All vape, no smoke please.
With my bridge adapter and other glass adapters that I won't get into, I can have a bag and draw from it without removing it from the EQ.:brow: Thanks to my Bridge adapter AKA "cloud buddy'. I have a 45 bent adapter that attaches above the main section. Straight pathway from the EQ to the 45 bend piece mind you.

Should mention that I have my own bag fill system that uses a 18mm M/M adapter and an ELB. Not the stock method. :science: Pretty much any standard glass adapters with air path and durability in mind. So it's an 18mm air path from EQ to bag. Slip all that into my favorite heat adapter. It is 5 adapters tall. But the convenience of drawing from a bag with the ease of using a desktop. C'mon. Of course I had to try it. :freak:

I fill bags and then take out the stopper in the side car and insert a mouthpiece. So the straight section is directly over the EQ with a 45 adapter and a socket end for the bag.

Air cools going up the glass chimney before getting to the bag. Bag fills up. Turn off machine. Remove stopper from sidecar. Insert 90 bend and a straight wand. Now you are drawing from the bag and the EQ. And getting quite light headed.

Now I do use the ELB in my EVO as normal and transfer it to the EQ for squeezing out the last bit of goodness. How's that for a vape rotation?
With the cloud buddy,, I don't have the bother of filling bags and readjusting them for the next fill. Just switch out the stopper for a mouthpiece of sorts.
18mm-bridge-adapter.jpg

@kellya86 prodded me to take pictures of the setup that I was failing to describe.. :goon: So you can thank or blame her.

And here is my bag setup. Notice that I have the ELB and F/F together as my herb module and at the base of my EQ is the heat adapter. This works great with the fan. I can get all that goodness left in the ELB's and materials. Notice that I can switch out the stopper with the mouthpiece. So I don't even have to mess with the bag to have a bag session. Just cover the mouthpiece or close the bag before making the switch from stopper to mouthpiece. Also I keep my bridge adapter far away from the heat source with a tall F/F. Near straight path from EQ to bag and it does fill up fast with the ALL 18mm pathway. :science:.

Cuckfum, I had not been keeping up with this thread, but then I got around to reading the last few pages, and saw your creation. Pretty cool, I knew I had to attempt to re-create my own version and give myself a reason to dust off my old EQ :brow: (@kellya86 's chalky rosin bag also gave me some motivation to fill some bags with the EQ, but I just flowered on my last session here)

What you like to call your "bridge adapter" or "cloud buddy" is more commonly called an ash-catcher, it seems. So only a few bucks and 2 weeks later through a random un-tested DHgate seller I never purchased from before, I was ready to put together my own "cloud buddy" for semi-continuous, non-removing bag action

I have plenty of other glass adapters and elbows lying around, and I could have put this together different ways, but I decided on a slightly simplified (less pieces) version, using the bent mouthpiece from my tubo evic and a whip. The volcano bag is mounted on an 18mm M / F adapter, which sits on top of the "cloud buddy." I used a small, cut-off section of a silicon drip tip mouthpiece cover to cap the glass mouthpiece when filling the bag, then I remove the silicon cap to start puffing.

The glass joints don't line up perfectly level like you would hope or expect it to, but it's NBD. All the 18mm M/F adapters that I have also make a slight wobble when inserted with this adapter, but they fit tight enough, no vapor leaks from the joints, or they don't pop out of position by themselves, with the slightest tug

This setup worked very well. The bag fills up quicker with an all 18mm glass pathway from the top of the v2 DDave tall adapter. After filling up the bag, drawing from it with the long whip felt very cool, easy, and casual.

I started at 380F and got some pretty good vapor, enough to fill maybe 4-5 bags with as little as 200mg.

That was successful, so I tried the next session at 375F, and got very tasty, somewhat lighter vapor on the first bag, and more substantial, thicker vapor for the next few bags, so maybe 375F is better for this setup for my tastes?

I may make some slight changes to this setup, like re-purposing a spare tall 18mm DDave adapter to attach my bag onto, instead of the 18mm M/F adapter I am using for the bag in this pic. (This will let me attach the bag higher up on the glass to give more space to fill up with some more vapor, act like it's taller)

Overall, I was very satisfied with this concept, and I will have to incorporate it into my vape rotation on occasion.

My poor EQ had been neglected and un-used for a few months since I have been using my tubo evic with glass / silicon / adapters for water tools and dab rig flower sessions  This little portable vape hits way harder and more potent than the desktop EQ, with temp-control nearly as good, and much greater airflow :o (that part is key) As much as I love the tubo, one thing it lacks that the EQ does have (besides a remote, and a mandatory power adapter) is a fan. So thanks for the idea, @CuckFumbustion !

But to compare my previous, traditional way of using my EQ, with glass / silicon adapters to use it with the same water tools I now use with my tubo, I decided to do a "throwback" session :\

cB9mLQA.jpg

(Old pic, but pretty much the same what I did here, minus concentration chamber)

The relative lack of airflow on the EQ became apparent with direct-draw through a hydratube. I was getting some decent clouds, but I had to bump up the temps above 380F to get anything really substantial or satisfying. I felt like I had to work alot harder, puffing, in order to match what I would get with a light, natural draw though the tubo evic  Oh well, different vapes for different days, at least I found a cool new way to use the EQ

:tup:Glad my idea helped with your creation. You can see the benefits of such a setup. No fussing with bags with all the pleasure of a whip or Gong session. There is no restriction from the bag, so it is more like breathing in a lung full as opposed to taking a draw.

Cloud buddys or bridge adapters are hard to find or might cost $50 from some places. The ash catcher connection and whip add something else to the mix. The EQ gets resurrected again.

With my whip and bag setup. I use a spent ELB from my EVO and place it in the EQ inside an 18mm M/M and squeeze out whatever the EVO didn't quite finish off. Waste not want not. And less fuss with changing out ELBs as opposed to the standard methods. I have a plug for the mouthpiece now. So there is one less step I need to go through when filling and vaping. I use 222 Celsius with this setup.

Can someone Please answer me? Thanks very much!
I'm not up to speed with the stock mini-whip kit. Try what @kellya86 mentioned. Things like preheating the Cylone can help with the extraction.

**WARNING **-Due to it's design, The EQ can lead to experimentation and GAS. It has a way of getting brought out of the closet when there is a flash of inspiration. :science:

Used to old school elbow pack for bags and use the blunt end of the stirring tool to pack it down as did a lot of FCers for bag fills. But now I'm really liking the adapter with the ELB as my heater setup. Ordered another adapter because they do get hot as well as the ELBs and it will be easier to swap them out as oppressed to pulling out the ELBs each time. Tried two ELBs in an adapter- NO good on that so far.
Have to comment a little more. @Vape Donkey 650 has a smaller, shorter bag system that went with a well behaved whip system and a volcano bag. What a nice variation! :clap:Noticed in the next image that you went with the extra thick tubing, 90 glass with the 18mm path for the water setup.

I'm fortunate to have found a bridge adapter and have a local source for odd angled near 45 F/F adapters. Because of how they are formed. No two are alike. I could find a quasi 45 F/F that best arcs like the mini whip glass kit but at 18mm I.D. Others might have to continue to be creative with what is available to them if they want an All in one bag system. Borrow from both of our ideas. I'd really like to see more of this. :brow:

The EQ has been fully resurrected! AGAIN! And I don't even have the latest @DDave mod yet! Anybody care to comment on his latest version? :peace:

Whats the best battery pack I can use for the Arizer Extreme Q?
I don't want to pay $100 for the one arizer sells. Any other alternatives? I saw a few old threads about cheaper 18650 powered 3rd party alternatives, but those threads are from years ago and the battery banks linked there aren't for sale anymore.

Welcome to the party!

It will fit and work and there are several similar and perhaps cheaper to be found. However mine is essentially 2 pieces welded together and an all straight path. Any glass adapter with the bulged center tends to not handle heat shock as well for me or a 4 foot drop to the floor. :ugh: If you can get your hands on the particular one I picked out. You might prefer it more like I did. :2c: Or one closer to my criteria anyway. Happy adapter hunting.

Tried my EQ again after quite a while.
I got three pretty cloudy bags, not super dense but definitely nice.

I plugged the whole thing into my bubbler, there's basically no draw resistance. And the water keeps it sealed so no vapor flows out. I would use less water though next time, since you can draw so unhindered, it really splashes.

But damn you can get such huge hits :whoa:

Was so glad, I decided to take a pic of the gang!

HUMP DAY!
I need to break out another glass piece (non hydrotube) I hate wobble?

The SILICONE Tubing that comes in a @DDave KIT is what I prefer!

Does one need a 4x4 with a 12" LIFT KIT in the CITY?

That rig looks so great. Is that glass from dhgate? I'm considering picking up that same setup for my eq. How do you like it? Is the glass heavier than the arizer? Where did you buy that male bowl from? Any chance you can share a photo of the hydratube with that bowl sitting on the eq?

Hi everyone !

Well, I just bought my Arizer Extreme Q a few weeks ago because I decided to quit smoking and I'm in love with it :)

I'm using the elbow packed method to get a higher vapor density and use less weed, but I would like some advices to get a very very dense vapor (almost like smoke). I saw a pic on this thread with a damn white pillow looking bag and that's the kind of result I'd like to have.

Currently, that is the quantity of vapor I can get with a 230°C temp, fan on 1 :

4ILGXga.jpg

I'm also thinking about getting a bong adapter to cool it and filter it with water and ice cubes :3

Peace.

extreme q or volcano for a first desktop vape ?

Do you want to use whips/whip through bong at any time? The Volcano is a decent vape but only has bags, as far as I know. But it does thoes exceptionally well.

The EQ is more versatile, but the bags aren't as good as with the Volcano, I've read.
But the EQ is much cheaper, and a lot of people swear by it. It's a great vape.

I also never could get really dense bags. Maybe those people just have better material ;)
But It was always gave huge, tasty hits. At least the first 1-2 bags, the 3rd is usually less tasty/thick.

I think you can use the whip and right angle and 45° angle glass piece, and use those to connect it to a water piece, I think they fit into 18mm joints (not totally sure though!)

I agree with the taste, but I don't think it's just a matter of materiel... :/

Nah I tried with my bong and it doesn't fit buddy. I've seen the Ddavi's mod but 55 dollars is expensive, it gonna take ages to receive it cause I live in Europe and I also wanted to buy a new bong so I don't have 55 dollars to now !
